I don't speak for everyone obviously, but I personally went on- I guess- a Homestuck hiatus?? After the epilogues dropped, it really left a bad taste in my mouth and tarnished my view of the story for a while. I tried getting back into it a few times since but wasn't really uhh.. a part of the new fandom? If that makes sense? But the recent reply was definitely in regards to the recent news. I heard our very own @floralmarsupial joined the new HS2 team and that honestly motivated me to rejoin old friends I've fallen out of contact with, much to my regret. I struggle with contact normally so after what felt like the end of Homestuck, I thought I wouldn't get the chance to enjoy it and all of you again despite it mostly being in my head most likely. Seeing a bunch of my friends shoot out excited posts really gave me a kind of hope I've been lacking for many years now. I think this would be a lovely distraction from everything else at least.
Karkat was a perfect bridge here, in my opinion, and definitely had a big positive impact on my life especially during my time here on @daily-karkat . I wanna return to that because putting out interactions with you all was such an enriching experience and many of the beautiful moments shared here have stuck with me.
I want to continue to bring you guys happiness like you do me. I've missed you all very much.
