You know you're cooked when you try outfits and ask your little GC for suggestions if 'just in case' you run into your crush.

Bhai same :/
Why do I always feel guilty and embarrassed all the time ? It's not like I kill people every hour and bury them. Fucking annoying to live with this inherent guilt and embarrassement

Someone asked me a question: when does a broken friendship start hurting more and more, where you find yourself spiraling in thoughts?
And that question always hits me in the gut. I've been through so many broken friendships this year, which got me thinking: were they even real? Whenever I visit my favorite book cafe in my vicinity, the owner asks me about my best friend, where we spent hours talking about our crushes and our weekend plans, watching comfort movies like "Piku," "Tamasha," and "When Harry Met Sejal." Whenever I go to college alone and have my tea, the canteen owner asks, "Where are your other friends who used to be with you all the time, having vada pav and tea in every season?" Whenever my mother asks me about that particular friend I talked to for hours over a call, discussing how my day went, about that annoying colleague in my team, and how I forgot to have my meals on time. Whenever I go to a gift shop, the shopkeeper asks me, "You didn't buy flowers and a birthday card in February for your friend? What happened?"
You just give them a hundred reasons that are not true and try to smile like the way you used to be with your friends, wishing to escape from that moment when someone asks you about friends whom you left in the past, whom you grew apart from, and never delete the recycling bin of your photo gallery because you want to see them one last time while wiping your tears.
Whoever said " broken friendships hurt more than breakups" today I agree with that person so much.

Hi ! I love your blog. You are so inspiring and your book rec are my absolute fav :) I saw you reading Marathi book a while ago. If you dont mind could you please give list of your top fav Marathi books.
hope you are having a good day :)
hi, thank you! here are some i like ─
कोसला by Bhalachandra Nemade: a coming-of-age story about a boy in college, about the tension in growing up; catcher in the rye energy, and not for everyone
एंकीच्या राज्यात by Vilas Sarang: about an indian man who takes up a teaching job in iraq; set in the 1980s so captures some of the turbulence and political tension in the middle east, but it’s largely a personal story about exile and home (or lack thereof)
कोबाल्ट ब्लू by Sachin Kundalkar: about a pair of siblings who fall in love with the same man, very well-written, nice short read
युगांत by Iravati Karve: essays on the mahabharat, sort of interpretative ones for the characters
व्यास्पर्व by Durga Bhagwat: like karve, a literary analysis of the mahabharat but with different conclusions
रमलखुणा by G. A. Kulkarni (short stories)
रक्तचंदन by G. A. Kulkarni (short stories)
मौनराग by Mahesh Elkunchwar: essays, but like memoir-esque personal ones; a slow read, but very very immersive
And some on my reading list:
श्रीमानयोगी by Ranjit Desai
१९९० by Sachin Kundalkar
राडा by Bhau Padhye
वाडा चिरेबंदी and मग्न तळ्याकाठी by Mahesh Elkunchwar
रणांगण by Vishram Bedekar
तुंदरच्या टिपण्या by Vilas Sarang
दास डोंगरी राहतो by G. N. Dandekar

Last month I was talking to my friend over phone, she broke down and hung up the call immediately. She was sad about her boyfriend not treating her well. how he blames her for every little thing and disrespects her efforts. I have never seen her cry no matter how harsh life gets . I felt bad about it and decided to help her. We don't talk about relationships much so I asked her if I should talk to him or not.
She wanted me to text him to leave her. She just wanted to get rid of him. And all I had to do was copy paste all that stuff which she herself typed lol for him to read. Before I could talk to him. She called me to tell that he's coming to meet her next morning and I had no idea what to say. She urged not to send that text to him for now. Later that day after they met. He said sorry and everything was okay between them. I used to text her still to check up on her. But now she's not responding to my texts that quick. I still feel she should not be with him coz he won't change his ways. That a weird feeling. I can feel you)
Your friend just doesn't want to understand the reality!!! To be honest I've been into her shoes too (not cutting off friends who care for her) but I hope she gets out of it
