moulages about my project
i tried to insert the feeling of stained glass, by adding thin black lines to the borders of the differend fabrics. it looks kinda collage like. i realy tried to make it sporty and wearable. because i want it to be relatable to the present

Zeren Badar is one imaginative and resourceful cat. The Turkish photographer and artist, also known as the Penniless Photographer, places unexpected items, like cereal, cookies, magnets, and stamps, on top of prints of old paintings. The combinations in these 3D collages are so alluring and clever!
By arranging objects such as pearls, rubber bands, and even raw eggs atop photographs, New York-based artist Zeren Badar creates layered collages with depth and dimensionality. Drawing equally from Dada influences and Duchampian ideals, the Badar’s work is full of unexpected juxtapositions that pair the new with the old, and the classic with the contemporary. My work is based on found iconographic imagery from painting, photography and popular media initially via discarded books and magazines but of late: the internet. This imagery is deconstructed, then re-composed from different sources as parody with the important blending of and interpretive tension of word (via title) and image. The technique is based on using imagery as language to build context as individual words are combined to create ideas. Uncommon juxtapositions and themes are sought to provoke thought and discussion. The less common, the merrier. A little art literacy is helpful, as many implied narratives draw on historic reactions and interpretations of various employed artists and works from their own era. Prior history with a certain painting or photograph always colors one’s interpretation. Being aware of the fact that an artist went blind or crazy or bankrupt (you know who you are) during his productive period, or that a work was once critically excoriated always adds a certain flavor. My works are narratives. The challenge is to tell a story without words: using images, colors, composition. Only the words in the title are permitted to assist, or provoke, or mislead the viewer–drawing on that part of the brain dealing with abstraction. Hi! a new schoolyear means a new project! I was facinatated about stained glass I saw in little churches i’ve been to in France. But when you are on vakantion,all those stainned glass art works start to look alike, and it gets boring. I think that’s a waste and i want to give stained glass a new imago. make it more modern and of this time. So you can wear art pieces on your skinn

4 vrouwen en 1 man ontwerpen
waarom 1 man? ik wil er nog meer ontwerpen maar ik kwam er achter dat ik het erg moeilijk vind om te ontwerpen voor een man. ik denk omdat ik veel meer kijk naar vrouwen kleding en daarom er ook meer over weet en weet welke silhouet daar allemaal voor zijn.
wat ik opmaak uit mijn tekenstijl hier is dat het erg lijkt op de tekenstijl die de spotprenten uit de tijd van de koude wereldoorlog. ik vind dat een mooi om het ernaast te plaatsen.
bij de laatste ontwerpen heb ik dingen aangepast. toen ik het proefmodel gemaakt had heb ik daarop gereflecteerd en het ontwerp aangepast. zoals de panty met fragiele draadjes heb ik verwisseld met een losvallende broek van Mesh stof. ik vond dat de outfit zo meer een focus naar het jasje kreeg. en dat was mijn bedoeling

Working with the Department of Sanitation on a series of garments, Preston reworked hoodies, vests, pants, and more, donating a percentage of profits to the Foundation for New York’s Strongest, DSNY’s official nonprofit.

mijn vraag was: hoe kun je nog meer je verhaal het beste vertellen. ik denk door samen werkingen. samen sta je sterker en kun je meer bereiken. je publiek word groter omdat je die van je partner er ook bij krijgt.
wat ik zo leuk vind aan deze samenwerking is dat het niet samen is met een ander ontwerper maar met een schoonmaak bedrijf van de gemeenste van New York. dat is een hele nieuwe samenwerken wat niemand dacht dat het kon. en zo het werk van deparment of sanitation weer een beetje aandacht en waardering krijgt. stukje bewust zijn. dat is ook wat ik wil doen met mijn ontwerpen.

ik was opzoek naar voorbeelden van fashionfilms. en van weie kan je het beter leren dan van de grote mode huizen, die al het geld er voor hebben, om zo goed mogelijk hun product te kunnen presenteren. wat ik zo leuk vind aan deze site is dat ze er nog een beschrijving bij zetten en een stukje mening.
voor mijn vorige project had ik ook wat gefilmd maar had nog niet zo veel ervaring omdat ik er nog geen onderzoek naar gedaan had. maar ik vind een filmpje je product meer een leven en een duidelijker sfeer geven. vandaar dat ik een filmpje erg belangrijk vind voor het presenteren van je outfit.

dit is een proef voor de panty die ik onder de broekrok wil laten dragen. het heeft kwetsbare draadjes die op spanning staat in de huid. de draad die ik daarvoor heb gebruikt is niet rek baar en daardoor kwam het effect niet helemaal goed tot zijn recht. ik denk dat het beter lukt met elastiek garen.

uiteindelijke stof en proefmodel.
hieruit heb ik gereflecteerd hoe de twee kledingstukken op het lichaam vallen. de een is van neopreen en is dus een veel stevigere materiaal dan de proefmodel van canvas.
De broekrok van neopreen heeft een wat strakkere valling en plooiing. ik zat er eerst over na te denken hem van demin te maken, maar ben toch blij dat ik voor neopreen heb gekozen.
