I know that we as a community hate this decision. Here’s some things you can do right now to help combat this situation!

Opt-out of Third-Party Sharing

Go to settings > visibility > prevent third-party sharing for [blog]. Make sure this is turned ON. It is off by default. You have to do this separately for every sideblog. Even if you don’t post any of your own art or writing, reblogs onto a blog that hasn’t changed this setting will make the post visible to AI scrapers. EVERYONE needs to change this setting ASAP.

Install Glaze and Nightshade

Glaze and Nightshade are two programs that help combat AI scrapers in slightly different ways. It’s best to use both, but using only one is also a massive start. Use them on all images you plan to post in the future. If you have the time and energy, go back to your old posts and replace the images with glazed and shaded images. It won’t combat AI on any old reblogs on that post, but it will combat new reblogs.
