Deep Dark Wrath will finally be releasing on the 27th of May, this 2024. This 2D Topdown Hand-drawn Card-collecting Dungeon Crawler is all coming together now. It's been a fun solo endeavor to work on one of my dream idea games that have been years in the backburner. Thank you all for the support this past few months.
I did just update the pin a few weeks ago, but a lot of polishing and visual updating has happened these past few weeks that I want to update as much of the older visuals as I can.
If you'd like to try it early, you can do so via the Free Demos on both Steam (Windows PC) and Itch (Windows PC and Android). While it's still an older version, it'll give you a taste of the dungeon diving and collectathon experience of the Full Version. Your progress carries over too, so your grind is not for naught!

Want to show a little more personality to the countless enemies you fight in the Dungeon? Now, you can change your Adventurer's plume to any color you like!
It's a small thing that was in the backburner for a long time, I decided to add it now as a nice little gimmick you can change for yourself.

Quick Update, I did eventually make the bar into a sprite of the Adventurer, so you know what it looks like without having to get out of the Options Menu.

I decided to add more visual effects whenever the Adventurer gets hit or when they die in the Dungeon.
It essentially reuses an effect that only ever gets used like seven times in the entire game, the Oracle Appraisal effect in the Safe Area. With a little extra hitstop by pausing it briefly, extra darkness, it adds some extra needed feels to tell the player that they did indeed get hit.
I didn't mind the fact it didn't hit stop back then, but it did feel a little lifeless sometimes so I kinda wanted to add it.

A quick look at the Android version's gameplay on my phone. I found a really old and elusive bug last night during my playtest, a bug that I thought I fixed a long time ago but I forgot to make it robust for a certain area later in the Dungeon.
Each major area has a notifier, that tells the game where the Adventurer is currently. This also tells the game whether to spawn enemies and to do specific important functions, which can probably break the game or be a big exploit if I did not fix it.
Luckily, I remember how to fix it so vividly since it took a week to perfect xD.

A brief pin update on my upcoming hand-drawn card collecting dungeon crawler, Deep Dark Wrath! Plunder and Collect Enchanted Cards, Apply and Strengthen your Adventurer with them, Find the Enemies' Source, Survive the endless onslaught, and Escape the Deep Dark Wrath!
I decided to update the visuals so the screenshots on my pages are also updated now xD. I've come so far these past few weeks, 4 big main version updates, lots of feedback received, lots of bugs fixed and mechanics tweaked. The dream of releasing a game is finally coming into a reality, thanks to the people who continue to support and people who at least look at this game xD.
The demo is available to be tried on Steam (Windows PC) and Itch (Windows PC and Android), the full version release will come to both platforms by the end of Q2 2024.

Another Card I wanted to add later on but decided to add now, Flameboyance 🔥!
If you ever wanted to be more of a mage adventurer, you can now do it with Flameboyance! It not only reduces the cooldown to 2 seconds, but also boosts the Fireball's base damage to 2.
