Well of course you can't be married to Q. After all everything from the proposal to the wedding would have been so incredibly over the top that (nearly) the entire universe would be a witness to it. Would it even be legal for you to marry him? I mean the Continuum would clearly not disapprove considering Q would be yours (your problem) for the rest of eternity but considering 'the Trial never ends' there is something questionable to be said about a Judge marrying the Defendant of an still ongoing Trial.

A very good point, Anon. Please try to tell that to the other Anons who are convinced Q and I are married.

(Guinan finding out about all of this would be so funny because she and Q have beef and her overall opinion of Q is probably horrible and for her closest friends, someone she considers closer than friends and closer than family, to her feelings for what she considers to be one of the worst being in the universe.... Guinan would not want to believe it even if she heard it was the truth and whoever told her would be banished for life. Also if she could and she probably can she would do the thing of the meme where one person holds another person up to protect them from the third person - Q-. Even though Picard does not need to be protected from Q.)

(I really did not mean that as an insult. I thought it more like a 'Haha Picard likes Stephen King, let me tell you about a weird detail only someone who has read multiple interviews with Stephen King, who read multiple books and has a favorite Stephen King book and movie which I will rant about to both 'Picard' and admin as a recommondation' Another recommondation on Stephen King is the youtube channel: Stephen King book club. They are really great and showing certain stories from a different and entertaining angle and they just uploaded a video about 'Derry' 'IT' two weeks ago. Again this was thought of as more of a funny, slightly ironic comment of a fellow fan than an insult)

Captain, you disappoint. The paragon of good taste and intellectual culture, who even took James Joyces' Ulysses on vacation for some light reading enjoying what even the author himself described as the 'fast food' and the 'burger and fries' of literature. Yet it does amuse me to find out that you seem to find enjoyment in the rather graphic descriptions of violence and rather vulgar language. May I recommend 'Misery' from Stephen King. A famous author has a car accident, gets kidnapped in the middle of nowhere (you yourself are already familiar with getting to absolutely nowhere with no way of contacting your ship anyway so I think you can relate). The crazy nurse is absolutely obsessed with him, well not really him as a person most of the time but his books about a character called Misery. But the author just so happened to carry a manuscript where he killls off Misery with him. She does not like. It's a twisted story of obsession of various kinds. And even if you don't know want to read the book I really recommend checking out the 'hobbling scene' from 'Misery' on youtube. Kathy Bates acting as she reveals that she has known about his futile tries to escape all along and as she says 'I love you' to him after breaking his legs is something else.

While I do appreciate you recommending me books, I object to the way you insult my taste.

[ book recs for picard are fine and encouraged but it wasnt even PICARD who specified he was reading stephen kings it, that was all me 😭😭 you probably didnt mean this to be targeted at the admin but it really came off like you were insulting me and not picard ]

You should totally ask Q to marry you if only to see what wil happen. I mean considering Q is pretty inhuman from a species we know next to nothing about the mixture of shock and hoppines could cause quite a few fireworks in the universe. That or the universe will collapse unto itself prematurely.

If I asked Q to marry me (which I never would) he would be completely insufferable about it for the rest of time. I'd like to avoid that.

You know what I think I am going to do, Captain? Tell Guinan about your feelings for Q, how you are totally in love with him and secretly like it when he gets jealous/possessive. I am pretty sure that I am going to be able to do the unthinkable and actually shock our bartender. Not sure what will happen afterwards, especially once she will be able to sense that I am telling the truth. Either I am getting banished from Ten Forward for life or you, Captain, are going to get an urgent invitation for a conversation with her.
