Remus and Sirius
Remus Lupin is:
self conscious
chocolate lover to the point of chocolate gatekeeper
oversized jumpers
mugs of tea
tall and gangly (limbs everywhere)
curls of golden brown hair that make Sirius stare
scars everywhere (damn that rhymed)
long fingers
smart af
the 'responsible one' but actually isn't
a werewolf so hates himself
new at love and friendship - the marauders were the first family he had
grumpy in the mornings (Sirius knows)
a hard ass
confused as to why people would care about him
but Sirius won't hear any rants about him being 'a monster' ("You wear fluffy socks, Moony. Respectfully shut up.")
irritable around full moons (senses are heightened) and Sirius will absolutely murder anyone who raises their voice
Sirius Black is:
confident, but only because he's faked it for so long
now it's real
charismatic (boy does Remus know)
charming
an absolute flirt
his "don't care attitude" was his defence mechanism at Grimmauld Place so now it is his personality
rebellious
silver earrings
simp for Remus John Lupin
curly black hair
motorbikes
eloquence
definitely fluent in French (Remus loves it sm)
always acting out (seeing how far he can push people before they don't push back anymore)
similar to Remus, he was relatively new at love and friendship before the marauders - except Reggie ofc
James is his absolute ride or die
would do anything for his friends because they are his family
he is fiercely loyal to the last
can't stand by and watch bad things happen (bullying, the war, the wrong person taking the blame)

The Stars to his Moon: Part 6
Agitated, Sirius sped towards the bludger, trying not to focus on the thoughts swirling around in his head.
What had that been, back there? With James, it was always a joke, but with Remus... Sirius felt a hot flush creep up his neck. His freckles...his eyes...that smirk, the one he gets when he sees right through me...
Distracted, he didn't even notice Madam Hooch calling him from the ground.
Thoughts still disorganised, the disgraced Black heir strode down the dimming corridors in search of one person in particular. No soon had he rounded the corner did he bump smack into James and - would you have it? - Remus.
More bright-eyed than usual, Remus had tucked a handful of scrolls underneath his arm. His hands were stained blue with spots of ink scattered haphazardly across his skin, and Sirius' breath caught.
"Pulled this one from study group," James said, by way of explanation. He rolled his eyes. "Like he doesn't study enough already. Come on lads, don't tell me you forgot! It's prank time!"
Sirius forced a smile, trying to avoid Remus' eyes, but finding that he could not look away. Thankfully, James was too caught up to notice, and Remus... Well, he raised an eyebrow once before casually looking away, leaving Sirius blushing.
"Who goes there?" the dreaded sound of Filch rounded the corner, and all three boys froze.
"Shit- in there!" James whispered loudly, practically pushing Remus and Sirius into a nearby broom closet.
"I've got the cloak - I'll meet you back in the dorm!"
And with that, he scarpered, leaving Sirius trapped inside the closet with Remus.
He smells of Quidditch, Remus thought wryly. Sirius' breathing was unusally fast, and Remus wondered if he wasn't a fan of small spaces.
"Lumos."
Sirius watched as the pale light illuminated the face that had been the subject of his most recent and confused thoughts. He met Remus' hazel eyes briefly, then looked away, scared he'd see right through him.
"Sirius."
"Hmm?"
"Are you okay?"
Fuck. "I'm fine, Remus. Relax."
So this is how it's gonna be. Fine. "Sirius."
"Remus."
"I've noticed-"
Alarm bells sounded in Sirius' head, and he quickly interrupted.
"Remus, I know, I'm so sorry, I don't know what's gotten into me... You were... You're just so... I don't know what's wrong with me! Am I broken?" he finished, looking desperately at Remus. A wry look came over the werewolf's face.
"There's nothing wrong with you, Sirius," he told him quietly, fixing his hazel eyes on the pureblood. "You aren't broken - there's nothing to fix."
"But-"
Asking a silent question with his eyes, Remus leant forwards and brushed Sirius' lips with his own. Electricity shot through them both as Sirius willfully returned the kiss, tugging Remus closer to him. For a blissful moment they were tangled up in each other's arms, until Remus pulled back slightly to take a breath. He arched an eyebrow. Sirius' mouth was pink, and he smiled sheepishly.
"Oh."

The Stars to his Moon: Part 5
"...make sure you get Sirius' set, not mine..." the voice of James drifted after him. "Don't know why my bishops keep running away..."
Remus rolled his eyes, having volunteered to fetch a wizard chess set for James and Frank back down in the common room. The truth was, he wanted a ciggy in peace - he knew James couldn't stand the smell of them, so he took moments for himself every so often up in the dorm.
Casually pushing open the door, he spied Sirius' wizard chess perched on top of a precariously-stacked pile of books.
"Accio cigarette," he muttered, and a small tin box flew towards him from under his bed. Taking out two, Remys tucked one in his robes and one expertly between his lips.
"Want a light?" came a drawl beside him. Remus jumped, the fag almost falling from his lips.
Behind his curtain, Sirius sat crossed legged on Remus' bed. With a raised eyebrow, the latter twitched his own curtains open a few inches more.
"If you'd be so kind," he replied, curious. The Black heir clicked his fingers and the end of Remus' fag caught alight instantly. Taking a long drag, he fixed his eyes on Sirius, who suddenly avoided his gaze. Something crackled under Sirius' knee, and Remus waited, before clearing his throat.
"You ok?"
Barking out a laugh before he could stop himself, Sirius pulled out a quivering red letter, clearly desperate to be opened.
"My mother," Sirius explained unnecessarily, boredom masking the uncertainty in his voice. But Remus heard it all the same. Wordlessly, he flicked his wand toward the door, closing it softly. He met pale grey eyes, unknowingly betraying boyish fear so unlike the brash and confident flirt Remus knew.
"No way around it," he said steadfastly, and Remus shook his head.
"Ignore them. They don't know you."
"Remus-"
"They don't, Sirius! They are the worst excuse for parents I've heard of - and trust me, I've heard a lot."
Sirius sighed, then motioned to the cigarette Remus was intermittently puffing on.
"That any good?"
A grin tugging on his lips, Remys handed it over wordlessly. Thoughts about having corrupted the posh boy would have to wait, he told himself sternly.
"D'you want to be alone?" Remus ventured, knowing immediately that he would hate for Sirius to say yes. He didn't think he would...
"No." Sirius puffed out a small ring of smoke, coughing slightly. His eyes were raw and genuine, younger than Remus have ever seen them. "No. Just. Stay."
Remus' heart leapt, but he knew that's not how Sirius meant it. Still, he thought.
Quickly, Sirius ripped open the scarlet envelope, and the Howler rose into the air.
"How dare you disgrace the Noble and Most Pure House of Black!? Joining the Gryffindor quidditch team! Duelling with your brother! Befriending half breeds and blood traitors! Mudbloods! You will answer for this in July, mark my words, Sirius!"
After the Howler had screeched its final vile word, it shredded itself into a thousand blood-red pieces. Silence descended, but the instant Remus saw Sirius' blank, scared expression, he took his longest drag yet and interrupted the silence:
"So, your family are vile."
Despite himself, Sirius laughed, the unexpected amusement jarring.
"Didn't know you had it in you, Remmie," he drawled, Howler forgotten. Remus rolled his eyes.
"I hate that," he grumbled, watching the dark-haired boy carefully. Mischievously, Sirius smirked.
"Do you, Remmie? I think you quite like it, actually."
Rolling his eyes, Remus took another drag.
"Bet you'd like that," he replied, without thinking. Taken aback for a split second, Sirius smirked back at him, raising an eyebrow. The sight was so funny that Remus groaned.
"It is honestly a mystery to me how all these girls fall for you," he told him sarcastically. Sirius narrowed his eyes.
"I'll show you-"
But before he could finish that thought, the door burst open. A mess of curls and glasses entered the room, and Sirius leapt up off the bed, feeling slightly guilty. What for? he thought. "James!"
Casually, Remus scrolled over to open the window to let the smoke out. As he glanced back to the infamous duo, he caught sight of something new in Sirius' eyes.

The Stars to his Moon: Part 4
"Like this, Remus?" James asked, enthusiastically swinging a fist at the common room wall. Remus had performed a Sticking Charm on two pillows and the wall so the Quidditch-enthusiast wouldn't do permanent damage to his hand.
"More or less," he chuckled. "Put your shoulder into it, more..."
"Show us then, Remmie, if you're such a master," Sirius drawled suddenly, twiddling a tassel of his Gryffindor scarf. Immediately, Remus rose, catching Sirius' eye before forming a fist and punching the cushions so hard the plaster behind them cracked. Sirius blinked, and Remus was settling back on the armchair with a smirk on his face. Levitating his book and a steaming mug of tea towards him, he cocked an eyebrow.
"You were saying, Black?"
Slowly, the tip of Sirius' ears grew pink and he got up hastily, sauntering over to his challenger brazenly. Casting an eye over Remus' threadbare jumper, his long fingers...the multitude of scars he wore up and down his skin... Then up to his eyes - hazel and brown, often partially concealed by a strand of golden brown hair. Freckles, long eyelashes...
Shaking his head and turning his face down towards his fist, he thrust it out towards Remus. What was happening to him? This feeling...he knew what it meant, but he couldn't quite believe it...
"Like this?" he croaked, then cringed and cleared his throat. Remus had to chuckle.
"No, you posh knob - your thumb's inside your fist! Unless you want to break it?"
"No, no," muttered Sirius, still refusing to meet Remus' eyes. Unusual, thought the werewolf.
"You alright, Sirius?" Remus asked, gently. Snapping back to himself, Sirius nodded quickly before getting to his feet. His voice...
"Left something in Charms," he murmured, before springing to his feet and high-tailing it out of the common room.

The Stars to his Moon: Part 3
With a grimace, Remus pressed a pouch of ice to his sore fist, settling back stiffly into a common room armchair.
"Bloody hell, Remus!" James exclaimed, pacing up and down past the fire. His expression of awe and attention directed towards Remus was so unusual, that the werewolf awkwardly looked down.
"Yeah, well-"
"I didn't have a clue you could punch like that!" James continued, running a hand through his already irreversibly messy hair. "You'll have to teach us, of course..."
Remus barked out a laugh as he pictured posh-boy Sirius Pureblood Black making a fist.
"Oi, what's so funny about that, Lupin?" Sirius exclaimed indignantly. Pointedly, Remus looked him up and down.
"With those upper-class airs and that ego? I seriously doubt you'd last five seconds in an honest fight, Black," Remus cut back, smirking. Clutching a hand to his chest, Sirius cried woefully:
"You wound me, Remus!" before leaping up and jumping on his lap. Holding his fists pinned to either side of the armchair, Sirius fixed Remus with a smirk as a long strand of hair fell in front of his face.
Oh god, thought Remus, trying not to focus on his racing heartbeat he was sure must be audible to the entire common room.
"You wanna say that again, Lupin?"
"You're an upper-class toff with an ego the size of a-" Remus manfully forced out, before Sirius tackled him to the floor.
"Not so clever now, are we Remus?" he smirked, pinning him to the floor. Laughing croakily, he was glad when Sirius released him so they wouldn't see the deep pink blush spreading over his face like fire.

The Stars to his Moon: Part 2
"Loony loopy Lupin's left his good pair of robes behind... Oh wait, he doesn't have any." Lucius Malfoy's sneering voice followed Remus out of double potions. Picking up his pace, he pulled his cloak tighter around his shoulders and turned the corner to bump straight into none other than Sirius and James.
"Ah, hey Remmie!" Sirius greeted him cheerfully. A split second passed when he read Remus' expression more closely. James frowned.
"You alright, Remus?" he asked, a note of seriousness in his voice. Swiftly, the taller boy nodded, stepping forward to move past them.
Just then, the sound of Lucius Malfoy rounded the corner, and the prankster duo whipped out their wands in surprise.
"You leave him alone," Sirius told him warningly. Lucius merely smirked.
"What a merry gathering we have here! Finally made some friends, Lupin?"
"Shut up," Remus muttered from beside Sirius.
"Like he said," James seconded angrily. "I'll jinx you, Malfoy!"
"As if you could," Lucius sneered. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go and wash this poor half-breed stink out of my robes..."
Sirius leaped for him, so Remus caught him around the wrist and pulled him backwards.
"Leave him," Remus told Sirius firmly.
Lucius turned up his nose.
"Cowardly, Lupin. I thought Gryffindors were supposed to be brave? It's a mercy your parents aren't alive enough to witness what a little weasel you've beco-"
But the Slytherin bully never got to finish that sentence because Remus' fist collided with his nose.

The Stars to his Moon: Part 1
Bounding up the stairs to their dormitory, James skidded to a halt behind Sirius, just outside the door. Turning to his puzzled best friend, the young Black put his ear to the door and put a finger to his lips. Inside, he heard soft and even breathing, so nodded to James.
Slowly, Sirius creaked open the door to pitch blackness, motioning James in behind him.
"I put it beside my bed," he stage whispered, tip-toeing over to his corner of the dormitory. A small thud and a muffled curse later had Sirius edging over to James.
"You alright, mate?"
"Stubbed my toe."
Stifling a grin, Sirius fumbled down beside the bed for the Invisibility Cloak, which was when he noticed a small light in between the curtains on another boy's bed.
"You keep that up, you'll wake up Peter," a quiet voice spoke through the darkness, and moments later a gangly boy stuck his head out between the curtains.
"Remus?" James asked, muffled still from behind his own curtains. "Sorry, mate, we didn't think anyone was awake..."
Sirius caught sight of a tired smile on the boy's strangely illuminated face. Several white scars streaked across his face and neck in jagged lines. He'd noticed them before, (as had many of the Slytherins, but they had had different responses) but in the dim light against his golden brown curls, Sirius could see how they'd aged him - his expression was far too mature for his years.
"S'ok," Remus replied, with a half smile. "I'm a light sleeper."
Suddenly aware he was being observed by Sirius, or perhaps unused to great lengths of social interaction, the boy began to retreat back behind the curtains. "Uh - g'night, then."
"Wait!" Sirius blurted out, then quieter, he continued: "James, shouldn't Remus come with us, tonight?"
Enthusiastically, James rolled off his bed with a quiet "Yeah!" and the quieter boy cast a look over both of them. Nervously, he tugged at his threadbare jumper sleeves.
"What do you say, Remmie?" Sirius ventured daringly, strangely challenged by this quiet boy.
"Okay," he replied, his calm hazel eyes reflecting the cool yellow light from behind his curtains. "Where're we going, then?"
"Ah, you wait and see, my fellow midnight marauder!" James winked, miming a high-five with Sirius. "Intrigue and mystery await!"

At a muggle bar
Remus is a hardened orphan who can 100% hold his own at bars. He doesn't get drunk easily, as he has built up a tolerance through years of experience. He'll have beers, lagers, ale, the occasional liqueur..
Sirius is a total lightweight who only ever had alcohol at Black pureblood parties he was forced to attend. He has zero tolerance, but likes the adrenaline rush so will drink anything given to him. He is partial to a pink G&T. He is also partial to showing off to a certain werewolf when he is exceptionally hammered. Things often involving him climbing on top of bars and Remus apologising to the bartender outside while holding his drunk ass boyfriend upright.
James is somewhere in the middle. He will get drunk but only off spirits, when he is persuaded to do shots with Sirius (which honestly wouldn't take much persuading, let's be fair).
Regulus will drink tequila without so much as flinching. (Trick is, he makes it last long, but he will never reveal this secret.) He is always making sure James has the occasional soft drink to dilute his alcohol intake.
