There's this really cool Rise of the TMNT fan comic I've been reading for the past few months and the author had a panel redraw marathon; it ended months ago before I even knew about it lol but I still wanted to take part. And there were like, 4 different panels that I really liked and it was difficult for me to choose which one to redraw.....

So I did all of 4 them!!

Out of everything here the hardest thing for me to draw was Donnie ripping the paper

The comic is called ROTTMNT: Residuum and it belongs to @rottmnt-residuum. For any fellow tmnt nerds, it takes place after the movie. I won't say anything else to avoid spoilers, but I'm not prepared for ANYTHING that may happen in this comic 😂

I did a little speedpaint of the final pic too!

He doesn't indulge in the dishes his mother used to make in his childhood all that often, but when he does....the nostalgia never fails to hit him where it hurts the most.

5/7/2024: Endangered

These two pics are part of a series of three drawings that I did for my big final project for school. I was focusing on different big cats (ok cheetahs actually aren't big cats, if they were they would be a part of the pantherinae subfamily and not the felinae subfamily but still) whose numbers are currently decreasing, ranging from vulnerable to endangered. And for each drawing I focused on a different threat; for this series I focused on drought, disease (specifically mange), and poaching.

I said a series of three drawings but the file of the final one that focuses on tigers and poaching was way too big to upload here. I would try to make it smaller but that drawing almost killed my computer while I was working on it, I haven't opened that file in months and I'm kind of afraid to, idk what it'll do to my computer now lol. I fully believe something like this had to have happened to Adam for him to be over 10,000 yrs old and know modern slang/terms (the man said "bruh" and called Charlie a freaking Karen)

Bet he got called a Karen too, and that would just piss him off even more 😂

4/16/2024- Here's more stuff that I had to submit for class!

Some characters I came up with in my Character Design and Storyboarding class. We were all tasked with creating protagonists and antagonists and we had to incorporate shape language and the usage of color. This practice just solidified my love for designing OCs.

The boy in blue is named Orion (14) and the man in red is named Afaris (35). I actually have been thinking about doing a story with these two characters. I'm already designing about 10 more characters who are also going to be in the story still haven't come up with names tho and I'm trying to figure out the design for the setting. I already know it's going to be set in a kingdom, and as you can see from the clothes it's not set in the modern day. Still trying to decide if I want it to be somewhat set in the real world or if I just want to go full-on fantasy and include the use of magic and dragons and other mythical creatures.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

I did this a few months ago, I was practicing animal anatomy for an upcoming project. I love drawing wildlife and I plan on doing more anatomy studies like this for different animals.

This is a little animatic and storyboard I worked on during school. This isn't for an ongoing, bigger project, btw. During class we were learning about what goes into making/planning a storyboard and animatic and then we had to put what we learned into action. We were given a choice to either use our own characters in the animatic or pick one out of three scripts our teacher gave to us and pick which scene we wanted to make the animatic for. I picked one called Yuki Onna.

If any of you are curious about the script being based on anything, I don't think he got the script from an actual show or movie, I do know that Yuki Onna is from Japanese folklore, as for animation she's in YuYu Hakusho, but other than that I don't think the specific script he gave to us is from anything official (I googled so many different things but the anime and Japanese folklore were the only things I could find.) My teacher does work in animation as a storyboard artist and animator, so there is a good chance the script he gave us was written by him, or maybe someone he knows.

Yuki Onna doesn't appear here, but further down into the script she did show up and I really wanted to get to that scene......but I was on a time crunch I also had 5 other projects for 5 other classes and I was very sleep deprived so this is as far as I could get. Despite the loss of sleep this project made me want to become a storyboard artist even more

I'm a big TMNT nerd and Rise of the TMNT is one of my favorite iterations of these guys Donnie is the best I can't believe how much i cried during the movie

I had this sitting in my files for a while. It was mainly just to see if I could replicate the style of ROTTMNT and I don't know what it is about their heads, but Donnie's and Leonardo's heads were unreasonably difficult for me to draw 😂
