I’ve been trying to think of things I’m grateful for, lately
There’s a little hope in that thought. Hope for the future, hope for the present. Hope that that hinges off happiness I’ve harbored over past happenings to get me through the present and keep me here.
I’m hoping it can drown out the voices. The fears. The reoccurring feelings that all of my worths are rhymed to the rhythm of bedsprings and the thoughts that her name is still in the lining of your lungs and rasping in each stuttered breath you steal. The thoughts that a blink away I’ll be in a schizophrenic flurry- coherent thought caught in cobwebbed corners of my mind and that I’ll be like her. I’m afraid to go to sleep every night. Every night I see her and I know she’s there and hurt and pain and
