You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

Russia and America were hanging out when an ad came on the t.v., "time travel?" America asked. "Apparently so." Russia replied quietly. In Russia's mind he was thinking, I should get this thing, I want to surprise America. "Oh! And its available in store now!" America exclaimed. a couple of days later Russia brought America a present. "for you." Russia said. "Awww, thanks Russ!" America said. "Don't mention it." "Oh. My. God. Russia, do you know what this means!?" America exclaimed. Russia blinked, "what?" "We can go into the future now!" America screamed. Russia took a step back, "w-what?" "I want to see if we have kids!" America said quietly. America switched the time machine on and waited. The portal had opened and America dragged Russia through. "Oh, look at us." Russia whispered. "w-we have kids? I already have 50 though, a couple more can't hurt me." They stepped out, turned to the past and went back. Russia and America stopped Soviet walking past. "Привет father, we have news." Russia said. "What news? Hurry up and tell me." Soviet said. "Wehavekidsinthefuture!" America blurted, all in one breath. "You two?! What!" "yes, yes, I know, surprising." Russia replied calmly. Soviet started to babble in Russian. "can you understand him?" America asked Russia. "yeah, I'm not going to say it though." "Good bye father." They went back to the present. "should I tell France and Uk?" "If you want to." America drove to UK and Frances house. "Okay, I have something to tell you two. America took a deep breath, " we have kids in the future." "Awww, honey! I'm so happy for you!, oh, oh, I'm starting to tear up." France was ecstatic. "Good for you son, and for you Russia." UK said. At this point France was flat out bawling, UK even had to catch her from falling. "Good bye, and good night!" America and Russia told them.

Due to Russia and America's mutual hatred and clashing personalities, contentions are high. However, an unfortunate event causes them to become handcuffed together. How will these countries— who absolutely hate each other— manage to cooperate?
