“Sounds like a plan to me, Chinami.” Aya whips up buttercream in several different bowls, adding in just enough food coloring to make the pinks, purples and other colors that the KiraPati is known for. Several hours pass, and she finally lays the finishing touch on the gingerbread variation of her favorite bakery, setting it on the streets near the rest of the city.

“Whew. This was a really big project. I think with another two hours, we’ll get the whole town made. And I couldn’t have done it without you, Chinami!”

Chinami blushed hearing Aya praise her. "Oh goodness! I'm so happy to hear it! You've been a big help yourself, Aya!"

Next Chinami made shapes out of the ginger bread dough that she carefully placed to form the different gingerbread houses that were meant to represent Ichigozaka. It gradually little by little started taking shape. She made sure to carefully places the pieces one by one using royal icing as to make sure it would all hold together. She remembered well her baking teacher advice they had been through together during the classes.

“Oh and Aya!” Chinami turned her attention again to the young lady. “Maybe next you could help make the powdered sugar? So we can sprinkle on all the houses to make it look like pretty snow. It’ll add an extra touch for the winter theme we’re going for.” Chinami glooked inside the cupboards and found a small blender they could use to grind the sugar into powder. “This should help.” Chinami gleefully cheered as she handed Aya what she needed.

“I’m Aya. Good to have a volunteer for this project!” She’s already got her hands washed and she’s kneading away at the dough with the kind of motions one uses for a rowing machine in a gym.”

She calls over to her tablet’s built in assistant “Bring up a Streetview map of Ichigozaka!” As the computer processes that, she gives Chinami another smile. “A lot of the buildings around here are going to be easy to make, but there’s one that stands out.” She nods to the multi-tiered patisserie that’s festoon in ribbons and other girly decorations. “This one might be the hardest to build. Any suggestion on how to build it?”

“Pleasure to meet you Aya! Baking is a big passion of mine, so I’m happy to join up!” Chinami smiled again as she carefully studied the building that Aya pointed out on the map would be toughest to bake. 

“Hmm... well, we should start with the lower parts first and carefully work to the top.” Chinami took measurements from the map and carefully began planning out the gingerbread parts that they would need. Chinami turned her attention to the young girl again. “Aya maybe you could mix the frosting for the patisserie? We would need them in different pastel colors." She smiled and handed a bowl that Aya could use for the frosting. “ I would also recommend whipping some extra butter cream for the icing, so it’ll make it more glossy in it’s appearance.” Chinami winked and giggled as she continued working on the gingerbread parts for the houses.

“Oh goodness! I’d love help with the gingerbread baking!” Chinami smiled to the girl. She put on her special apron and started placing all the needed ingredients on the kitchen table. Chinami then began mixing  everything together to form the gingerbread batch. “Would you mind helping me kneed out the dough?” She asked politely the girl next to her. “I’m Chinami by the way. Glad to meet ya!” She beamed at the young lady.

Aya cinches up her apron and sets out the ingredients. “Today, I’m going to do something over the top to celebrate the season. I’m going to make a Gingerbread version of Ichigozaka! Do you want to help?”

“Thank you so much, Lily! That’s a huge help to me! I hope it won’t be a bother.” Chinami made her way out with Lily to start looking for the hotel. “But do tell me. Does Mr. Ludwig like sweets? Maybe I could bake something nice for both you, and him as thanks for helping me? I could even prepare a special German dish, if sweets aren’t his thing.” Chinami smiled at Lily. She was so excited to meet such a kind soul on her class trip, and wanted to repay her generosity.

“Well, No. Sorry I am from Switzerland and Liechtenstein, I can find it if you like. I good at finding things.” She says as she looks outside. “ I don’t feel safe here so lets go! Wait hold on.” Liechtenstein goes up to her drunk bruder and tells him that she is going out. She then waved to Chinami to go.

Liechtenstein nods and smiles, “Danke” She says as she bows and takes 2 cookies. She smiles as she eats it. “ These are good!” She cheers as she finishes the first cookie. “ I am Lily.” She said as she used her human name. “ You know Mr. Ludwig?” She asks with sweetness ringing in her voice.

I’m a baker student actually, so I’m always trying to work hard on improving my recipes.” Chinami giggled. “Oh, and who’s mister Ludwig? Is he a friend of yours maybe? Truth is, I’m on a class trip, but I got separated from my group, so I sorta got lost and wound up here. You wouldn’t happen to know where the hotel Nikolai Residence is found here in Berlin?”

“Oh goodness! I’m so sorry miss! I hope I didn’t injure you in anyway?” Chinami looked rather concerned at the young lady, and tried helping her up again. "Would you like to have some of my pastries maybe?” Chinami smiled at the young lady, and handed her some delicious chocolate cookies. “Please take as many as you’d like! I’ve baked quite allot of them.”

Liechtenstein and her brother, Switzerland were at a party, Well it is Germany’s sparkle party. Switzerland came for the food and Liechtenstein came since her big brother went. Soon her brother got drunk and leaving her alone. She walked around trying to find someone to talk to that not drunk. She doesn’t like the taste of beer but she does have wine once in a blue moon. She was walking till she bumped into someone and fell down. “Ouch!” She says as she looks at the person she hit.

Aw gee whiz, this thing is such an antique, even the dust smells old. How can she barely use it and let it get to this point – the fans look fine but ugh these chips and connections, I can’t–yuck, moldy crumbs–

It truly was a wonder how Skuld could remain focused on disconnecting the motherboard and taking out dust clumps with tweezers –because only idiots take it out with grimy fingers– while listening to the girl’s story. Usually she’d shut herself off, ignore the world passing her by while she fixed the problem. But she couldn’t exactly do that in this case, no. She needed to know why this device looked oddly worn-out and dirty in some parts when the words told of another situation.

“Hmmm. Normal anti-virus programs aren’t very effective in my opinion.” Certainly not like ours, she thought; vaccines programmed and installed by goddesses solved the issue more often than not. “But you should have foundsomeone who knew about this–browser app. When it comes to technology problems, everyone complains.”

Frankly she was getting angrier at how much upkeep this laptop needed. This is what happens when people just consider machines machines, and not something that needed as much care as a human baby!

Placing the cover back on the bottom, Skuld sighed. “On the surface, your laptop’s fine now. I gave it a good cleaning. I also fixed that limiter on the RAM size too, as an extra,” she giggled. “Nobody will be as thorough as me, but you should buy a dust compressor can and spray around this yourself once in a while! Or tell your brother to do it, if he likes it so much! This won’t cooperate with you if you treat it so–so shabbily!”

As she sighed again, letting time pass for her reprimand to be processed, she rested the device on her, well, lap. “You don’t know anything else about Project K then, other than it likes spam ads? I can install a custom anti-virus and blocker program for you to stop this from happening again.”

Chinami was amazed at the hard work Skuld had put into her laptop. It looked good as new now. She tried to listen closely to what Skuld was telling her to make sure her laptop wouldn’t have anymore problems. “Oh, really? Well, I wasn’t really sure about the anti-virus program. Truth is, a friend of mine called Yukina had installed the program a few years ago, and told me it would keep my laptop safe. Though... when I think about. She did warn me I needed to update and maybe even change out the anti-virus program every so often, but I never really followed up on it so much, heh.”

Chinami smiled slightly awkward at Skuld. She realized she was a complete klutz when it came to handling anything electronic, but she tried her best to explain more about her laptop to the young tech expert. “And regarding the browser app! Normally I would ask Yukina for help who’s very good at handling computers. Unfortunately, she’s been rather busy lately helping the police force, so I haven been able to reach her in a while now.”

She looked to the side for a moment. Chinami was worried about Yukina being away. She knew her friend had very strong anxiety problems being around men, and being forced to solve a heinous crime at the same time must be very hard for her. She secretly prayed that everything would work out for Yukina in the end.

Chinami then realized she had zoned out for a moment noticing the young lady was waiting slightly impatient for her to continue. “Aha! Well, anyway! I noticed there was allot of dirt inside my laptop. Goodness, really sorry about all that extra work for you!  I’m not so savvy when it comes to maintaining computers, or electronic devices in general. I’ll be sure to take your advice and use a dust compressor to help maintain my laptop better!”

She now felt slightly embarrassed. Chinami was usually very neat making sure everything was always kept squeaky clean inside the household. She realized however really needed to take better care of her laptop, so this slip-up wouldn’t happen again.

Finally Chinami hesitated a bit to Skuld’s last question. She remembered something important her father had mentioned whilst they were all having dinner together last night. “Well, actually... when I think about it. My father who works at the police department had talked about a new computer virus that was causing allot of problems for the computer networks in Neo-Acropolis. The thing about it, is that it constantly keeps changing it’s name and program behavior, so it makes it very hard to counter this particular virus program. He told me there’s very little information about it, and the police are having a hard time finding any clues to who’s behind it. I fear that Project K may be part of that same virus, since my father also mentioned the very same symptoms I’ve noticed my laptop has been having lately.”

This was possibly the most excited lady Skuld has ever met –or the most excited lady Skuld has ever met. And that wasn’t counting the time Shiho Sakakibara, wannabe psychic galore, visited the temple in hopes of ‘exorcising’ imaginary demons from Keiichi. Now that was an intense woman!

Skuld being Skuld, she shirked back from the pink-haired one initially. She wasn’t a stranger to emotion, but she was timid around unknown people at first. The other had mentioned a friend sending her straight to, quite frankly, the best person in anything mechanical. Not many people know of her skill; it could only have been Megumi, given this one’s tendency to assume things of people without checking.

“Ah–ah, I’m–I’m Skuld,” she managed to squeak out. “You can call me Skuld…” Her cheeks acquired a tinge of pink at Chinami’s compliments. Such an elegant-looking adult, calling someone uncouth-looking like her adorable…The laptop in front scurried away any other thoughts, however. The need to fix and better any broken device was heating up within her belly, more important–no, more necessary than anything else right now!.

“Well, I’m not sure if I’ve ever dealt with this model,” said Skuld, looking over the object in question in her hands. The way she handled it was that of an experienced IT tech, with precision and care. “Which would be a first. But either way I can obviously make it run 300% better by the time I’m done with it! Guaranteed! Hohohohoho!”

Lucky for Chinami, the child goddess had her toolbox nearby. Sitting cross-legged, she took a screwdriver out and began to unscrew the bottom first. Already, theories as to why it kept crashing floated around in her mind. One made her pipe up and ask in the sternest voice ever: “Have you installed something defective on this?”

“Skuld is it? Quite an unusual name, but somehow it suits you quite well, dear!” Chinami giggled to her herself. She was happy the young lady was so eager to help her, and was amazed at how quickly she began working on her laptop.

“And well, to answer your question! I normally don’t use my laptop so much other than to write school papers, and occasionally look for baking recipes on the internet. Although when I think about it… my younger brother sometimes likes to borrow my laptop without my permission to play his browser games, even if I tell him not to. Sometimes he even gets a little carried away, and installs programs without telling me.” Chinami started thinking back some more.

“I believe the problem began about three days ago. I noticed there was a strange new browser app called Project K that kept my bombarding me with ads. I was able to remove it manually, but afterwards my laptop started crashing repeatedly. I’ve tried running the anti-virus program, but it couldn’t find anything wrong. I have also searched on the internet for any answers, but I was unable to find any information. It sounds so strange really.” Chinami was worried that the Project K could be something far more serious than what she had first thought.

Chinami notices her guest looking all red in the face as he was hesitant to accept her offer. She giggles to herself realizing maybe she was a bit hasty offering her bag of cookies on their first meeting. “Hmm... well, maybe I could give you a sample first?” She grabs one cookie from the bag, and tries to offer it to him. “Tell me... what is your name? My name is Chinami. I’m studying to become a baker someday running my own pastry shop. I’m in truth always looking to share to my baked goods with anyone who seems like they’d enjoy my treats, so please don’t feel alarmed if this seems strange to you.” Chinami then smiled warmly at the little fellow, whilst reaching down to him with the cookie in her hand.

With a playful grin upon his face, Chopper walked toward the girl, hoping that she wasn't too busy to spend some time with him. He had been alone for some time, but for whatever reason, seeing her face alone made him feel as though his boredom could be easily relieved. "Hey!" He shouted out as he gently placed his hoof upon her knee, hoping to get her attention.

Chinami is suddenly startled by the strange looking tiny creature in front of her. “Goodness! W-where did you come from? You look like something straight out of my little brothers past time shows! My, but you look cute! Are you hungry little one? I have some delicious chocolate chip cookies I baked earlier in my class today. I made too much I’m afraid, so you can have them.” Chinami pulls out a paper bag filled with tasty cookies, and offers them to the little fellow in front of her.
