t w o | hermes, have you met odysseus?

THEY ARE MOON HUNTERS. Sehun has been trying hard to understand the whole situation properly. This community? This group? Or whatever they are, all of them are moon hunters.

"So he is Adonis?" A question is thrown by a guy with his silvery white locks, breaking the silence. "Whose power is stripped off by Zeus, yes." Chanyeol said, grinning from ear to ear.

The idea of these Gods abilities being stripped off excites Chanyeol. As a demigod, he is practically stronger. Sehun got chills going down through his spine as soon as he saw Chanyeol grinning. This is such a horrible decision, Zeus! He mentally said, head tilting up to the sky; where the Olympus is located at.

"Are the other Gods coming?" He whose locks fell right above his eyes asked. His locks covering his forehead completely.

"Possibly yes. But this might as well became a fair and square moon hunting if The Great Zeus stripped their power off. Don't you think so, Baekhyun?" Chanyeol is at the highest tension state right now. He is as excited as he could be.

Eris, on the other hand, is sitting right in the entrance of the cave they are staying at. She sighed heavily, frustratedly drowning in her problems and unsettled concerns.

Her name, Eris. Sehun is right. The name she got was taken from the Goddess of chaos, discord and strife. Just exactly like they say, a person lives up to their names, and Eris is not excluded.

Ever since the day she started understanding situations that are happening around her, it was all chaos.

"Hey." Eris looked up at the familiar voice, slowly standing up when she sensed something off.

"Kyungsoo." She said, staring at the silhouette. What she thought was going to be one silhouette appears to be two. Eris pulled one of her arrow slowly, fixing her stance.

"Eris. No arrows."

She sighed in relief when she saw his features, standing out clearly. Right behind him, another man, glittery diamond-like objects around his eyes. The glints of mischief are visible.

"This is.."

"Hermes." The word that came out of Eris' mouth caught Kyungsoo off guard. "How did you-"

"Adonis, Sehun, is inside."

"Well.." Hermes—Jongin—smirked. "Adonis." A chuckle is heard as soon as Sehun's name was mentioned. "He is Junmyeon's favorite though." Without any further ado, Jongin stepped into the cave.

Both Kyungsoo and Eris froze, but then they immediately follow Hermes steps.

"Jongin?" Sehun's excited voice is heard. "Hello! Finally! Another God!" He said. Jongin smirked, "Junmyeon stripped my power out. It's getting on my nerves."

"Mine too! I'm powerless. That damned Demigod is excited." Sehun gave Chanyeol a look of disgust. "And? You sound happy. Are you on a trip?" The arrogance in Jongin's voice is still extremely clear.

Sehun sighed. He knows that Jongin is still pretty much clueless about the whole thing. Jongin must have thought that hunting the moon would be easy. He must have thought all these mortals are ordinary mortals.

"They are moon hunters, Jongin."

The words made Jongin scoff. "Hunt it? Stealing it sounds more fun." Each end of his lips pulling up, a smirk made its way to his face.

"Oh, God. Hermes." Chanyeol rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"What you weird mortal?" Jongin frowned, clearly unhappy at the way he got those reactions. Chanyeol grinned from ear to ear. "He didn't realize too! Zeus really decided to play fair and square!"

"I told you he is a Demigod." Sehun chuckled, "stop it with that arrogance it won't take you anywhere."

"What Demigod are you?" Jongin narrowed his eyes at Chanyeol, which Chanyeol answered with "Can't you see?"

"I'm Aeneas, Son of Aphrodite!" He said, combing his hair back.

“And what about you?" Jongin nonchalantly said, pointing at Kyungsoo.

"What if I say that I'm your son, father?" Kyungsoo smirked, both hands in his pants pocket.

Jongin blinked quickly as he is feeling flustered. "Huh?"

Kyungsoo chuckled, patting Hermes' back, "just joking, I'm Odysseus." He said.

But even after hearing Kyungsoo's words Jongin became more flustered. "Odysseus?!" His tone rising.

"You are that famous warrior!"

Kyungsoo shrugged, "yeah, thank you for that."

"But.. Why did you choose to side with mortals?" Jongin tilted his head. Kyungsoo hummed, silently feeling excited because the Gods recognized him. "One, because The Olympus could never accept any half-blooded beings?"

"Two, I decided to side with mortals wince the day I told everyone that I'll walk along with the mortals, and they gave me the treatments I could never imagine would get one day." He said, tossing some random pebbles to the cave's wall.

"That's it?" Sehun frowned. That's not much to offer.

"Hm," Kyungsoo's gaze suddenly directed to one certain person. "and one other reason, actually." He said.

o n e | adonis, to the mortal world.

EACH OF THEM OWNS A PLANET. Each of them have powers more than the mortals could have.

Sehun was just observing his beloved good-looking people, the adonitians, just simply choosing the right hunting weapon that could fit their appearance best. He would never predicted that a sudden scroll would fall upon his lap, asking to be read by him.

He opened the scroll, knowing that it came from Junmyeon, his favorite leader of the Universe.

An eyebrow is raised, and he sighed heavily, "oh, not again!" Sehun buries his well formed visual with his own palm. "If this is the only way then I guess I have to head out to the mortal world."

He walked down his throne with heavy steps, his loyal people turning their heads to their leader, Adonis.

"Adonitians! Attention!" Sehun cleared his throat, "Junmyeon's order! I shall go to the mortal world and fight fairly, for the sake of us all."

"I'll go to the mortal world. I wish all the best for you." With those words, Sehun disappeared into thin air.

"—ing to hunt it, I don't care! That's the only way they say, right?" Sehun could hear the muffled voices as he opens both of his eyes slowly, adapting to the brightness of the day.

The temperature rises, his skin started to adapt with the unusual heat. Mortal world.

The sound of the sword being pulled could be heard next. The high pitch fraction caused by it is loud and clear. Sehun turn around to see two mortals aiming their sword at him. The sunlight beams hitting the iron, creating a blinding light.

"Woah, not the face!" Sehun widened his eyes, both hands up in defense due to the surprised feelings and preparation he has yet to make. "Get that filthy sword away!"

A lady and a man. Sehun shrugs after examining both of the mortals standing in front of him, still holding and aiming the swords at him.

"I see Aphrodite and Adonis blessed both of you a bit." He smiled with proudness. The man suddenly widened his eyes, shaky hands of his dropping the sword down. "Yeah, yeah, I know." A mischievous smile is carved on Sehun's face. "I'm—"

The man let out a really long sigh as he turns his gaze towards the woman.

"Adonis." He whispered, but loud enough to be heard by the latter, Adonis, himself. "Oh, what a smart mortal!" Sehun commented.

However, the woman's reaction pushed him to edge. "What?" She scoffed, eyes darting from the guy—possibly her ally—to Sehun.

"Zeus and his tricks." She smirked. It comes off as a disbelief smirk. Next moves Sehun could observe was the pair of mortal giving him very cold stares, turning away.

Sehun could not believe it.

Mortals. Mortals..

The Mortals he knows would worship him. They would usually express their desire to have beauty, good looks, and blessed appearance.

"Hey, wait! Mortals!" He exclaimed, speeding his pace. The two mortals ignored his desperate calls, just walking away with a normal pace.

Sehun groaned. The sun keeps having contact with his porcelain skin. "Mortals! Your God demands you to stop!"

The lady could not bear Sehun's nosy attitude, pulling her sword and swinging it, accurately landing right in front of the Adonis' perfectly sculptured face.

"I said not the face!"

She rolled her eyes. "Do not follow our tails."

Sehun scoffed areogantly, his mouth turning into a sly smirk. "Excuse me? I'm Adonis."

"Yeah, and?" The lady asked, tilting her head, expressionless.

"That's mean hierarchy-ly speaking my position is higher than you mortals." Sehun pushed the sword that has been pointing at him for quiet awhile down. "And I shall get appropriate treatments now that I visit the Mortal World."

"Eris, let's go." The tall man that has been silent the whole time pulled the lady's wrist softly.

"Aha, Eris." Sehun chuckled, "that's your pretty little name? Taken from the Goddess of chaos, discord and strife."

"And you, another mortal, tell me your name." Sehun continued to act almighty while the pair are still on a little nerve fight; one demanding to leave immediately, the other's blood starting to boil.

"Excuse me? I'm a demigod." The man said, frowning. "I didn't know Adonis from Olympus could not recognize a Demigod." His facial expression changing into a very mischievous one. "Especially me, Chanyeol, The Son of Aphrodite."

The words are processed slowly by Sehun, and he blinked rapidly. "What?!"

Sehun groaned, holding his head, "I swear Junmyeon, you trickster Zeus." He growled lowly in annoyance.

It is clear. Junmyeon stripped off the Gods' power as he send them to the Mortal World.

He should have realise all the oddities since he just arrived, without knowing what first step he should have taken.

prologue

Lights are peeking through the cotton-like clouds, each rays came from one source that lighten the dark sky. Every night, the moon provides similar serene luminescence, and that is why, everybody is eager to own it.

The drought. The pandemic. The disasters. The agony. The darkness. The prophecy.

For the last several months, things happening in the mortal world is simply catastrophe in one word. Mortals are barely surviving, crops amount has reached the lowest point it could ever fall in human civilization history.

During the day, mortals would stay under shades because the sun has been acting up. The scorching heat would burn bare skin, causing inflammation and pain.

At night, mortals would come out to look for anything edible. No doubt that mortals will do anything to stay alive. Whatever it takes.

The complete mayhem became a trigger to the society. It clears up the vision of Mighty Gods and Goddesses. It allows them to oppose the idea of absolute control over the universe.

Why can't mortals control the universe if they probably can handle it better than the Gods and Goddess in Olympus?

Upon the question that has been going around sometime after the chaos, mortals started trashing sacred spots. A horrible thing to do as a mortal who probably was given less power, but disappointment, rage, and burned hearts could no longer be comforted.

"Either way," A desperate sigh is heard. His voice as warm as the morning coffee placed on the table, fresh from the coffee brewer. "I shall protect this universe." Zeus—or Junmyeon, the ruler of Olympus—said. It was his call, no more backing away, no more staying still on his throne up in the oh-so-comfortable Olympus when the universe, especially mortal world, is currently pushed to the edge. 

Junmyeon spinned his lightning stick creating a spark within the empty air, slicing coldness away. A parchment appeared, rolling it’s way down to Junmyeon’s side.

When the night darkens.

Within the night that gets later.

The moonlight illuminates,

the light beautifully

went through the gaps of clouds.

It falls right down,

straight into the center

of the half-frozen lake.

That is how the moon shall help you.

A hope among coldness.

One way to earn it: HUNT THE MOON.

Desperation gave birth to impulsiveness. Impulsiveness then would have sacrifices to continue it’s legacy.

Mortals. Demigods. Gods. From Olympus. To Mortal World. The Missing List. Status Alive. Location Unknown.

All because the start of moon hunting.
