Fanfic tiktok is wild... I see so many people saying shit like "I could never read anything below 60k!!", or "What story can you even tell in under 5k words?" or "A oneshot below 10k isn't even a story!" or "I always filter completed fics by 100k< only!"

And I'm like...

A) which fandoms are you reading fics for where you have this kind of offerings on the regular?

B) have you heard of short stories? If you truly think every story NEEDS to be longform to connect with people, I sincerely feel sorry for you.

C) Average novel length is between 50k to 100k. I'm sorry, but CONSISTENTLY demanding fic writers to push out fics of that length is insane. Just think about it: YOU DEMAND AUTHORS TO PUT OUT FICS THAT COMPARE TO COMMERCIAL NOVELS IN LENGTH (AND QUALITY) AS A BASELINE.

Oh, this one is kinda tough. The grass and stone remind me a bit of Bree and the surrounding areas, but the sky kinda looks more like it would be somewhere in the Wildwood area. I feel like I'm way off, though XD Aww! I'm actually kinless, but I'm friends with Kara and a lot of the Shadow Riders <3 I'm always at the Boar Fountain on Friday nights for Ethi's band.

jjba is so funny because the wildest shit can be "explained" by a weird ass stand or just breathing regularly and you're supposed to accept it as fact instead of "how can that guy with both legs chopped off at his waist talk normally"

I think one of the biggest reasons I enjoy jjba is because I envy this level of confidence and sincerity in storytelling. See, I would not have just said something as fucking stupid as "bullet-deflecting oil." I would've come up with some kind of Watsonian bullshit magic-science explanation that at least squared with the logic of the story instead of just saying "Oh, it's an oil that deflects bullets" and moving on to the next thing. But that is not because I am a better storyteller, no, quite the opposite. It's because I'm a coward.

I just put together a kind of DoT team with Sampo, Asta, Guinaifen and Lynx. the damage is not big pp damage as people expect DPS characters to be, since the damage is 6k at best (for characters lv 45-50, 4* light cones lv 40-50, and 3* and 4* relics) but it works just fine against enemies who are either weak to wind or fire, or don't have a particular effect res, and works better this way since Sampo has Fermata. I would substitute either Asta or Guinaifen, but Asta is a stupid strong support everywhere and Guinaifen deals stupid damage even without burn/firekiss

9/10 would recommend, now I'll try pulling some 5* DoT character if I manage, maybe I'll lose a 50/50 to Welt and finally get imaginary father of 17 kids. I could use Luka for an extra bleed and I have him e2, I just really don't like his kit 🧍🏼
