Have you tried to write something based on Gravity Falls' pilot episode and related materials to it?

I was one who tried to develop something out of these and eventually completed my own small story; Pilot Dipper fell into canon dimension and spent a day with canon Pines family. You can try and read it here!

I planned and wrote it since last year, eventually completing a four-chapter story in early April. Then, days after uploading the second chapter (I guess), a big leak happened: It included a pitch bible for GF pilot.

According to the Bible, if I fit my own into these, I think it would take a lot to work with. But I somehow felt that it may involve a big deal of revisions, especially when it comes to the secret of Stan and Gravity Falls. It feels like it was where Stan may be an author of an Index... just maybe. But it was clashing with my own pretty big time (I can't reveal it yet because it's a big spoiler, but still!)

I came up with some ideas to fit mine loosely - for example, rename pilot Wendy and Soos I named by myself (Gwen and Deuce) back to Wendy and Jesus. But at the same time, I don't want to change mine that much. I liked the outcome I accomplished with Milky Boy Blue, especially the ending since it directly involves the pilot universe.

In the end, I decided to keep it as I initially planned for. As well as adding Author's Note to explain the whole situation. But at the same time, I'm wondering how people would respond to if I kept mine instead of adjusting...

Author's Note

If you ever read the bible of GF pilot (which was leaked days ago), you may have noticed several different details from the bible. How pilot counterparts of Wendy and Soos were mentioned is a good example, and you'll see more. My take on pilot universe was written since the last year, so I seriously considered updating details to match what the bible says, allowing people feel more relevant to official materials. At the same time, however, I still wanted to let what I have accomplished with this story breath and be alive. I found the bible could affect the last chapter - where you'll see the pilot universe directly - more than I hoped for, since there would be Dr. Crackpot's Index of Damned and it would become important to the story. So, as a result, I decided to keep the storyline as I planned. I want to be faithful to what I have planned, especially when the ending I worked with Milky Boy Blue was more satisfying than my initial plan. As much as I want to catch up on the latest source material, I don't want to lose the track.

On the bright side, though, you can try developing your own AU by yourself! Like what @twilighttrekkie tried last year with nearly the same amount of resources I could afford, but this time, you got plenty of things to take notes through the pitch bible.

Discussing continuity issues of GF with friends brought me this; Does the Bilnd Eyes Society have repaired physical damages caused by supernatural matters?

Like, if you want to conceal them, you have to remove all of the things that remind you of them. It would include physical damages.

To give it some more thoughts, I can imagine the Society may have connections to some contractors to repair?

They need to make actions quickly if they didn't want people remember all of these, especially considering how the memory wipe works in the world of Gravity Falls; long and constant exposures to reminders can restore memories wiped out by the memory gun.

If they knew how the memory wipe works enough to learn this, they would understand how necessary it is to remove anything to trigger people's memories they don't want to appear again. Such damages are constant and frequently happen if you're living the town where you'll see gnomes and giant hands on a daily basis.

If not, maybe the townsfolk with memory wiped out, only noticed physical damages and executed repairs on their own.

That is, my friend, one effort to explain some of animation shortcuts internally as much as possible.

When I was a little kid, my mom told me that if I went to the bathroom exactly at midnight, a hand would come out of the toilet and offer me either blue or red toilet paper and would kill me depending on which color I chose. I was too scared to go to the bathroom at night for a long time, lmao. This is the Japanese urban legend of Aka Manto (it’s slightly different from the Japanese version though, because my mom learned it growing up in Korea pre-internet days)

Imagine how disgusted Stan must be, considering he doesn’t even wash his hands after using the bathroom

Probably too unstable to maintain? Especially when Robbie is too unstable to let a twelve-year-old boy have a time with his GF.

No offense. I know Dipper was practically his rival and obsessed with Wendy enough to try altering the timeline. And it would be beyond annoying to have rivals like him, but I see Robbie wasn't good at dealing with the situation.

Like, taking someone's song and claiming he wrote it for his girlfriend, threatening him so badly that things got worse and out of control, and such. If he was like that to other people, it would be toxic and ultimately affect the relationship.
