i’m so curious as to how michael and lucifer acted when then saw each other again after chapter 37. how do you go back to normal after that???
spoilers for A&M
here's the thing: Michael was hoping for this to change everything, for everything to change between them. he won't admit it to himself, but he acted hoping this would do something for this ridiculous tension between them. more than anything, he wanted Satan to seethe because he doesn't have him, to make Satan remember he will never be satisfied without Michael. He wanted Satan to see he should return to Heaven and see that he's powerless to God and to Michael. He denies finishing inside because of his own shame and to make Lucifer seethe.
Except things don't change. Lucifer acts like it was nothing important, doesn't acknowledge it much. The first time they see each other again, it's in public, and Lucifer looks normal and healed, perfect as usual.
At some point, Lucifer probably cracks a joke about it while they're discussing some attack plans — something like "Oh, Michael, you shouldn't raise your voice at me. Last time you did that, you humped me like an animal in heat." Michael gets angry. But that's it. Just a joke or two. Otherwise, Lucifer doesn't even bring it up.
To Michael, this is worse. It looks like it meant nothing to Lucifer, like it was just a regular evening discussion between them. Michael had tried to make Lucifer seethe and have a crisis, but now it's the other way around. Michael is seething, confused about his own desire. Baal and Lucifer seem closer than ever.
Michael realizes he's lost in whatever war is happening between him and Lucifer, but he can't do anything except hang his head about it and curse himself. I think it hangs over them heavily in their last meeting before Michael returns to Heaven. They don't mention it, but maybe Michael's can't resist brushing his gauntlet against Lucifer's wrist to remind him how he held it against the wall. But Lucifer just hums and tells him he's overstayed his welcome.

Developers talked about No Promises To Keep. It's NOT a love song as some shippers tried to make it out to be. Aerith was addressing everyone when she sang.

A (very belated) birthday gift for @tallangrycockatiel from their lovely wife (seriously, Dani, you are a saint)!
I absolute loved the chance to depict one of my favorite scenes from Bel’s wonderful story All That is Mine to Me, All That is Yours to You. If you want to see these two dorks attempt normalcy while navigating separate bodies and emotions I can’t recommend it enough. The writing is snappy and enjoyable, the push and pull between John and Arthur is top notch (they are never not going to be that bickering married couple), and the reveal of later things left me excited to read what happened next. Do yourself a favor, check out the fic and don’t forget to leave a comment!

i'm not gonna reblog that one post talking about hating on m*dern/c*ntemporary art since I don't wanna be mobbed by people but jesus christ the replies/tags are condescending as fuck.
y'all do know we're allowed to have preferences. a guy poking a hole into a pile of buckets so sand falls out is "art", sure, but I'm not going to like it or care about it or think it's actual art.
"i could have done it" "but yoU dIdNt" like .. ok? what is the point of that reply? How is that a win for you whatsoever??? I genuinely can't understand. ... the condescension physically pains me. Yes, it's cool people create for whatever reason. People are fucking allowed to not know everything about art to have an opinion on what they see. Deal with it. So what. Just move on with your damn life. It really isn't that fucking deep and it doesn't make someone less intelligent if they don't understand the point of, idk, the infamous blue square. Cool technique but sometimes people prefer their art to make them feel something else than just "uh, that's it?"
idk man
i'm not gonna tag this and i am so not interested in "debating" this. i prefer art certain ways and if that bothers you, then move on. i am not interested. bye.

I just saw a Tik Tok that said writers on AO3 are not looking for constructive criticism in their reviews. I have no audience on this platform so I have to know if this is true? I've always left my pros and cons when reading a fic and now I'm concerned that the authors didn't like that.
Yeah writers are Not looking for criticism, constructive or otherwise. Unless they specifically ask for it, it’s considered rude and honestly a bit hurtful. In the least bitchy way possible, don’t do that. It’s unwanted.
