I finally logged back into one of my old Neopets accounts since the 25th anniversary is coming up (and because of the whole rabbit hole mentioned in my previous post), and decided to try and get my pets some new wearable stuff. While browsing Mystical Surroundings, I see these:
WHEN DID NEOPETS GET PRIDE FLAGS?!
I can’t remember when I was on Neopets last, but they didn’t have these the last time I was on. I know it seems like an overreaction, but I’m overjoyed to see something from my childhood support a community I’m a part of; I was the same was the same way when Blue’s Clues had the pride flags for the letter P and the pride parade animation.
I’m here to find artifacts and punch Nazis…and I’ve already found all the artifacts.

Now that the strike’s over, I can share my Halloween costume. My sister and I kinda had an unofficial/accidental 80s theme with our costumes; she went as a Ghostbuster and I went as Indiana Jones.
I’m trying to learn how to properly use the whip, it’s a bit shorter than Indy’s, which makes it not fit quite as snugly into the whip holster, and I did get a few beginner’s bruises on my knuckle and back of my legs the first time I tried cracking it; for some strange reason, I’m better cracking the whip with my left hand than with my right hand, dunno why that is…
To those of you reporting Shiver fans just to try to win this Splatfest, you’re gonna get banned yourselves. False reports result in the person reporting being banned. Don’t be stupid, just play the game.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny spoilers below

(Look away now)
I loved that Indy got to witness history. He’s technically shaped history on his adventures, but this was his chance to see something he’d only ever read about.
I’ve had the name Serling picked out for a while; shiny Mimikyu’s monochrome color scheme reminded me of shows like The Twilight Zone, so I chose the name of its creator, Rod Serling.
The shiny I caught in Scarlet was a girl, so in keeping with the Twilight Zone theme, I named her Janet, the main character of the episode “Eye of the Beholder”.
The theme of that particular episode felt like a fit for Mimikyu: what society deems ugly may be beautiful to others.
In Pokémon Moon when I first encountered the totem Mimikyu, I could see how in the Pokémon world Mimikyu would be feared by many, especially after seeing the creepy things that would happen in the abandoned mega mart. I on the other hand loved the atmosphere and wished I could give that lonely Pokémon the love it deserves. Mimikyu was beautiful to me (and to Acerola too) despite what the Pokédex said about its appearance.
After 7 long years, I finally found a shiny Mimikyu! I’ve tried shiny hunting them in every game possible and thanks to the sandwiches in Pokémon Scarlet, I finally got one!
Now to make that shiny Mimikyu sock plush like I promised myself I would after I made Blooky.
