Hunger Magazine have featured my documentary project based on the Wanstead Flats near my home in Newham.
âWanstead Flats is located at the southernmost part of Epping Forest and is part of Newham in East London. Since the 2012 Olympics, it has seen major changes of gentrification and re-generation which has caused major inequality across the borough. I think it is important to ask questions and encourage a dialogue to address these issues and how we might move forward together,â says photographer @caitlinchescoe, whose portrait of Kenneatha and Keziah in their matching pink tracksuits won Portrait of Britain Awards in 2022. â
â
Gentrification is continuing to erode local communities and societal infrastructures all around the UK. As demand increases, rents go up and the landscape of communities changes completely. Chescoeâs intimate glance into Wanstead Flats immortalises the loving and tight-knit part of the world in light of its precarious future.â
Iâm excited to announce that I have been shortlisted in the @royalphotographicsociety 165th International Photography Exhibition, narrowed down from 5205 photographers to 416 with the final selection of 100 photographs will be chosen and
announced in September.

Iâm pleased to announce my first monograph 'Belief & Truth, Inside the Freemasons.'Â
'Belief & Truth, Inside the Freemasons' is an exploration of the mysterious brotherhood of Freemasonry by Caitlin Chescoe. Born into a family with three generations of Freemasons, this book goes beyond her close links and reveals insightful surprises about the 300 year old organisation. Having long been labelled an 'old boys club' and 'secret society', Chescoe shares the individual experiences of both male and female Freemasons focusing on the many pre-conceived ideas about Masonry through a series of portraits, interiors, still lifes, archives and testimonials.
Accompanying the documentary series is an essay written by Camilla Brown which further investigates the history of Freemasonry and its public perception, discussing the roles of gender, religion, class and charity as well as a photographic history.
204 x 260mm, 140 pages, hardback covered with blue linen, foil embossed in gold on the front, back and spine. Includes a 120 page main image section with two gatefold throw-outs, plus a 20 page archive section.

I am very honoured to announce that I have been selected for this years Portrait of Britain Prize for the third time running.Â
My image will be exhibited on JCDecaux screens across the country as part of a nationwide public exhibition in January 2023 and will also be published in a photobook by Hoxton Mini Press, available in February 2023.
I took this portrait of Kenneatha & Keziah at the fair on the Wanstead Flats this summer. I saw them in their matching pink tracksuits and asked if I could make a portrait with them. She told me that Keziah had asked if they could both dress in matching outfits that day and spend some Mother and Daughter time together.
âWhat does it mean to live in Britain today? These honest portraits offer an alternative view of our shared identity, an eclectic celebration of Britishness and an uplifting account of the triumphs and struggles of the people who inhabit these isles.â
I am delighted to announce that I'm included in this years AND 2022 Annual alongside many other amazing photographers! My portrait in from an exciting new WIP based on the Wanstead Flats in Newham.
