langblr playlists
Hello :)
Listening to music in my target language(s) always helped me a lot with pronunciation, vocabulary and use of language, so i’ve decided to share my spotify playlists that each focus on one language!
Some of them are still under construction and don’t have a lot of songs, but they will grow, I promise!
Links:
A Amharic   Arabic   Aymara   Austrian German

Big playlist with non-English songs only: click here
If the playlist links do not work, this link will lead you to my page!
❗ The Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, and Spanish playlists are also available on YouTube! Unfortunately I don’t have the capacity to add more playlists to YT or update these existing ones ❗
Note: These playlists are sorted by language, not by country! You might notice different accents!
“pipeline” aka send me recs for these languages please

At the beginning of the summer, I had big plans to better my plant ID knowledge and foraging, and staggered home from the library with a giant stack of guidebooks. Which went entirely unread until now, unfortunately. Some of them were older books which I'm flipping through more out of curiosity and an appreciation for line drawings rather than for practical advice - this one is from 1973 and I'm supremely charmed by the author's voice, particularly his attitude of "just because I'm writing the book you're reading about edible plants doesn't mean you should trust anything I say."

"i would die for you" this, "i'd walk through fire for you that"
what about "i'd live for you" romances? what about "i never thought i'd be worth the work it would take to piece myself together"?
what about "i don't believe i'm worth it, but for you i'll try"

Hiya! I'm very new to the studyblr/langblr thing and I'm searching for some blogs to follow to keep myself motivated (and also to not start doomscrolling on the langblr tag) while I try getting back into studying after ages! :D
To keep this post short, the languages on my list are: French (I have a very rusty B1), German, Japanese, and Korean.
Non-language topics I'm interested in: art, anything science but in particular space-related topics (astronomy, astrophysics, etc), ancient history, book reading in general.
What else? I'll turn soon 30 so I'd prefer to interact w/ ppl around my age or anyway around idk 23+... And since this is a sideblog, the follows will come from my main!
I'm an Italian native speaker, and English became a sort of second language in one way or another lmao! I can help with either learning Italian or translating stuff, I think. I also know Latin, but it's been ages since I last used it so I'm very rusty... maybe I should put it on my list too.

TIL The Double Empathy Problem theory suggests social difficulties experienced by autistic people when interacting with non-autistic people are due to reciprocal differences, not an inherent deficiency, most autistic people are able to display good social reciprocity with most other autistic people

You know, with Shein, Alibaba and Temu being so popular, I was thinking that maybe we could make a list of some ethical and sustainable clothing brands. These will be more expensive, but if you buy from them you'll be helping someone anytime you make a purchase. Please list all the ones you know in a reply.
Pact Clothing sizes up to 2X. Sells men, women, and children's clothing. Items are sustainably made and Fair Trade.
Midnight Hour Sizes up to 4X with a few 5X items. Cute goth and alternative clothing. Items are sustainably and ethically made.
Able Sustainably and ethically made women's clothing. Sizes up to 3X.
Svaha Own by an Indian woman. Very cute science themed clothing for men, women, and kids. Clothing is mostly made in India and is ethically sourced. Sizes go up to 5XL
Proclaim ethically sourced bras and underwear and basics that comes in three shades of "nude". Sizes S to 3XL
Toad&Co Clothing inspired by nature. sizes S to 2XL.
Raven and Lily Supports female artisans creating handmade jewelry, bags, and homewares. Empowers communities through fair wages.
Altar Specializes in alternative and custom fashion. Sizes S to 6XL.
EDIT: I did not expect the to blow up! I want to find all the suggestions in the reblog and add them to the OP. I'm a bit swamped with work this week though. I may make a whole new post later. In the mean time, please check the notes for some other excellent suggestions! Some are here on tumblr! Shout out to
@freshhotflavors @morningwitchy @crowlines @mayakern
@mayakern has posted images of her clothes in the notes and they are all very cute!
I want to stress that you can't do everything. This post isn't here to judge anyone who needs new clothes but can't afford an ethical brand. I once had my apartment flood (basement unit!) where the ceiling fell in the bedroom and had to replace everything! Clothing that fit me is hard to find and I think I bought everything from Walmart. This is just for some suggestions and to advertise these other brands.
