i’m legally blind but like idk if you’re talking about fully blind but yeah. blind people can move their eyes. they wouldn’t be able to notice it but it’s a muscle thing to be able to move the eye and blindness is usually caused by the retina not working. so i suppose so.

Question: if someone is blind in one or both eyes, are they able to move them?

you can be a fan of the show without supporting the use of slurs and certain jokes. the people who call you a ‘fake fan’ for not supporting certain ideas are usually either trolls or really immature idiots. like i myself write fanfic and i’m writing a comic right now and i absolutely refuse to use any slurs. i’ll curse or whatever but even typing the slurs makes me feel sick. sometimes slurs are just used for shock value anyway.

i actually had a debate about this with someone, going off track. i said smth about being against a certain viewing (gonna keep it on the DL because i don’t wanna get into debates again) and someone was like mph but you’re a south park fan and they show stuff like that’ but like…you can be a fan while acknowledging what is being shown is wrong. you can acknowledge that the show itself is showing things that are inherently wrong. like homophobia, transphobia, racism, more disturbing contexts like pedophelia and more horrific jokes about like-the kkk or the holocaust. those sorts of things are wrong. and it’s honestly kinda rare to find a south park fan who acknowledges that those things are wrong. and i applaud OP for that. the term ‘fan’ can be used in any context really. like even if you just liked the video games it’s still south park. it’s a flexible term and you can use it however you like.

i can tell that OP is a genuinely good and caring person. the people you piss off with this are assholes and you can block them. keep doing you. you’re doing great. block the people who are rude to you.

All right, since this is a South Park blog I’m going to attract South Park fans on here, and they may be pissed off, but here we go. I actually feel really bad about being in this fandom and the brainrot that has consumed me and makes me think about this show so goddamn much. Because here’s the thing, there’s a lot I dislike about it. I don’t like all the slurs casually being tossed around (curse words like fuck are ok, slurs are not.)I don’t like all the fat jokes thrown at Cartman. I don’t like a majority of the political opinions. I don’t like how offensive/cruel it can be sometimes. I consider myself a very progressive person who is trying hard to make the world a better place and to care about others. So I feel bad that I still like a lot of this show. It has characters that are a lot of fun to play around with in fanfics and stuff, a lot of it is written well, I love wacky cartoon shenanigans, and yes, it makes me laugh. Basically I really only like the episodes (and video games since SOT and FBW fall into this too.) where the kids are acting like kids (Free Wilzyx, Casa Bonita, Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers, etc.) and not any of the political satire. (Though that can work as long as it’s focused on the kids. Like Best Friends Forever or Cupid Ye. You don’t need to know what exactly the episode is satirizing in order for it to make sense on it’s own.) I skip a lot of the episodes that I know will just piss me off, But is it still bad for me to watch the show at all if I don’t agree with a lot of its morals/messaging? Am I a hypocrite? Am I a bad person?

i’m so sick n of seeing people be like ‘Oh i DoNt DrAw ThiS cAnOnIcAlLy FaT cHarAcTer FaT beCaUsE iT DoEsNt FiT mY sTyLe!’ like make it fit your style then. You have to accept that some characters are gonna be heavy. It’s a piss poor excuse for saying that you don’t wanna draw a character as the way they are. It’s not just with skinnifying/buffifying fat characters either, it’s whitewashing too. Like I’ll see people be all ‘Oh I can’t draw curly hair so I’ll just make it straight LOL’ or “Oh but the only skin tone that looks right in my style is pasty albino vampire white’ like you’ve gotta practice that shit. If the only people you can draw in your style are white, thin people then you’ve gotta fix your style or just practice. But don’t use a poor ass excuse like ‘it doesn’t suit my style’. Thats stupid. It took me years to learn how to draw curly hair. I’m still working on my style to accommodate different body types and you’ve just gotta practice. The other shitty excuse I’ve seen is like ‘oh but the character looks hotter!’ like that’s arguably worse than the ‘it doesn’t suit my style’ excuse. That’s just offensive.

(Btw this doesn’t count for the people who are actually trying. But the people who say it doesn’t ’fit their style’ or ‘oh it makes the character hotter’ is what pisses me off.)
