1. An ad I designed for @saks ran in The New York Times on christmas day! Picked up a copy at my corner news stand and felt very New Yorker. This truly never gets old. 📰 🫶🏻
2. Andrew and I have been going to see the holiday light show at Saks for years. It’s where he first gave me a key to his apartment and is even more special now that I work there. We always go inside to see my work and do a little window shopping. 🎄 🔑
As of today, I’ve lived in New York City for a decade. To celebrate, I’d like to provide a big life update. :)
Andrew and I are officially HOMEOWNERS!
It was a rocky road for nearly a year and I’m not gonna lie, we faced A LOT of unexpected challenges along the way.
It’s absolutely necessary to mention that we did not do and could not have done this alone.
We had a specific vision in mind for what and where we wanted to call home and our highly skilled and knowledgeable real estate agent and friend, Goura, from Cooper & Cooper stuck with us and truly advocated for us every step of the way.
We’re also thankful to some close friends and colleagues who kindly wrote letters of recommendation on our behalf. Thank you for speaking so highly of us to the board. This, in my opinion, was the only truly personal part of this transaction.
Our teams at Movement Mortgage, Weidenbaum & Harari LLP, Raymond James, & UBS were communicative, timely, and answered our endless questions.
Lastly, to Andrew. I couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend to do this with. Although our to-do list was constantly growing and increasingly overwhelming, Andrew helped balance the tasks and put his foot down when necessary. Thank goodness I’m not emotional at all ;)
Over the past ten years, we have often felt guilty putting our personal touches on a rental apartment, but always left it better than we found it. Now that we own, we can truly make it our own. In fact, we’ve already begun.
Prior to moving in, we put in brand-new hardwood floors while retaining and updating the original border design we fell in love with.
Tune in as we slowly and intentionally renovate, personalize, restore, and make this slice of Manhattan our own.
I can’t wait to make memories in this home with the person and weiner dog I love.
25 photos wasn’t enough to sum up my 2022, but I tried 🥹 #happynewyear https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm2dzfLOoYLI5g82Nr6lbDiX-wnTS1UDjpFg3E0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I used to be afraid that people would see me as gay before they saw me as smart, funny, creative, kind or any of the other wonderful things I am. In fact, I hoped it wouldn’t even make the list. Truth is, it’s none of my concern which part of me shows up first because I love every bit of who I am. Sending love to those who haven’t come out yet and to those who didn’t have an ideal experience doing so. Your existence and presence are so appreciated. #nationalcomingoutday🏳️🌈 #lgbtq🌈 #pride #gay #lovewins #happy (at The Oculus) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjlrzNVvJN6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Though the official press release went out a few weeks ago, I am still feeling very honored to receive the Fort Hays State University 2022 Young Alumni Award!
I would like to congratulate the others who have been granted this notability in the past; I am grateful to be included as a creative, inspiring, and hardworking leader. To have even been nominated by Vincent Bowhay, was humbling, let alone being selected!
The Young Alumni Award was designed to recognize graduates early in their careers who have had outstanding achievements and recent accomplishments. The award is based on professional and educational achievements, community activities, honors and awards received, and other noteworthy items of merit.
I will be returning to my alma mater in Hays, KS on October 6, 7, & 8 to receive this accolade, speak to the art & design students, and reminisce with my mom who will be joining me as my guest of honor :)
Thank you to the alumni association, sponsors, hosts, volunteers, and everyone that has helped put this event together to acknowledge me.
I feel so privileged and will remember this always.

Had the BEST time catching up, @jeraedavid ✨ Always nice to see a familiar face; especially one you grew up with! Fun losing track of time in great conversation and closing the place down! (at The Grey Dog) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgejJg2OMal5nmZsaMg-dAEkLT3mGo0fRkDjaM0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
