One of the things I liked about this new Percy Jackson episode is that they made the choices the kids make intentional
Instead of just going to the Arch to kill time, now they go because it is a temple for Athena, who Annabeth believes will help them.
Instead of the trio being separated because there wasn't enough room on the pod, Percy deliberately chooses to get Grover and Annabeth to safety and face Echidna alone.
It gives them a lot more agency in their actions and makes the Echidna fight carry more weight.
So the new goosebumps is much more like Wednesday than the Haunting Hour, but I'm not mad at it. Let's see how the ending plays out cause I'm intrigued...
Happy to say I called the Benvi endgame all the way back at the s1 finale and never had a doubt about their endgame status. The narrative was always leading in that direction and it was obvious (at least to me).
Also, future Griffin driving that car kinda messed with my head a bit, I was like oh yeah he would be old enough to drive, but God is it weird that he is.
The drama these first two episodes that sets up the mystery for the rest of the season of SoSS... hoo boy, we just jumped up in stakes. This seems like it might be the best season yet.
I'm genuinely super intrigued, confused, and slightly petrified lol.
The serotonin boost I got from this sneak peak tho... I didn't realize how much I missed this show. Can't wait to see what happens with the Ben/Savannah cliffhanger and Griffin/Harper over the season
