Corvo speaks rarely. At times the Leviathan anticipates speech
where there is none, or anticipates silence when the man opens his
mouth - the royal protector has a habit, and that habit is surprising
the entity. Not in his words, but when he chose to voice them; the
outsider stares through the void, tarry eyes impassive and void
of any outward emotion. “I watch everything.”
“-- And I’ve always known you, Corvo.”
While Corvo saw a single man, a single pair of eyes - the Leviathan
was much more. The Outsider was the Void and all that it encompassed
- all it’s knowledge, all its’ sights and experiences, all wrapped in this stolen
body. He has seen the beginning of the world, and the beginning of Corvos -
and he’ll be there to see the end of both too.
“- I wonder, do you think of your sister? Of the urchins who picked apart
the streets alongside you? Or are they all in the past, forgotten?”
@bonesoftheleviathcn
‘ do you watch people? ‘
the query is like an interjection - sudden and startled from the quiet of
corvo’s natural solemnity, dictated by a freezing silence of words, whether
he elects it voluntarily or not. casual conversation with THE LEVIATHAN
has become more questionably commonplace, following the fall of the loy-
alists, and the restoration of his daughter’s authority. he feather’s his thumb
over the edge of his blade, nicking blood in the groove of a fingerprint.
‘ did you know me? ‘
he means, before; as a boy, torn by poverty, digging in sewer muck,
biting into rat flesh, taking coin from the belt, or besting a brave noble-
man in duel. the little serkonan thing, son of a whore, not corvo attano,
royal protector. how far did the outsider’s interests extend?

He likes this one.
Lenny would never be given the mark - she did enough with it. Her work had gotten the Voids’ attention; it’s noticeable when the void start growing by the city, and the Outsider had enough influence over the darkness the woman created to visit in person. The god stepped out of one of the hole that Lenny had made in the wall just seconds prior.
“I’m curious, Lenny -- do you plan on eating up the whole world into nothing?”

“Hello, Nestor.”
The Agent had fallen asleep, and in doing so given the Outsider a moment to passively check in. Perhaps in the future she’d see what a direct influence could do, but that required the leviathans certainty, which came rarely. In the mean time he’d make do with bringing her ‘dream’ to the void. There was plenty of time to try to figure her out.
When Nestor opened her eyes, there would be only a small section of floor beneath her and her resting place - in turn being the only thing between her and the void that surrounded them. The Outsider stood a metre ahead of her, suspended in the darkness. He does have some consideration for the agents dislike of darkness; a lantern was casting a dim glow beneath his feet. “You’ve been quite busy, haven’t you?”

The Outsider visits those he’s chosen to Mark through their dreams; they’ll wake up in the Void, where the mark will be placed upon them after a very cryptic speech about their life and the choices they might have to make. He doesn’t usually give any warning for this, instead deciding to drop the powers on you and let you figure out more about him/the Mark as time goes by.

… You’ve been watching.
Okay. Okay. I’ll take that at face value for now.
You have questions. I could give you answers. What’s it to you? Why would you like to know and why should I give you more than what you think you’ve seen already?
I watch a lot of things. Everything, to be precise. I have found that some people here are unnerved by that, but it is a simple fact. Water is wet, the Outsider watches, et cetera.
What is it to me? Nothing, in all honesty. I will watch and see regardless of what you decide to disclose to me. However, seeing all isn’t knowing all, and I like to know the thoughts that went into the actions I’ve observed. I find that to be more effective than attempting to judge a persons’ thoughts and motives myself.

I have been through worse. I will be just fine. I just need to rest, but there is no rest for me in sight.
It keeps me.. more ‘human’ I find. Which isn’t a bad thing at all.
The question is whether or not you will find it before you fall. I will be interested in watching you seek it.
You must walk a line between mortal and God, and be careful not to overstep to one side or the other. Godhood means power, but detachment, and while your mortal ties bring you some comfort, humanity is not a trait that lasts in those of your kind for long; whether that be because it dies, or they do, that is dependant on the God itself.

According to Harvey Smith, the Abbey of the Everyman holds an equivalent belief similar to that of Sokolov's studies, pertaining to the structure of the world. Additionally, the Abbey is said to believe that all of creation originates from the Void: "The Void issued forth the worlds and stars, swirling around that great, birthing abyss."
