It's currently extremely hot here with upwards to 36°C, so painting is tough, but I've been working a lil bit in between on my next Heavy Weapons Team!

It's been quite a while since the missile launcher team and this time around it's finally the mortar team's turn

The leaf canopy is already done and everyone's got a lil bit of a base color coat for the most, still plenty things to do though

whoops, I completely forgot to post here that the lad is finished, even varnished him this weekend with Creed and some equipment stuff I had sitting around still:

up next will be two more characters and also another lil project I've been tinkering on for a while, it was time for another team of em after all

Had some more time to work on mr Enginseer, probably can finish him next paint session, just the leather, the base and some touchups left

Did a lil bit of painting again today and started my Enginseer, just base colors for now to get a feel for the mini

I'll prolly paint a few characters now, since this edition needs much more of them and I was always slackin of with painting em (also they are nice bitesized projects)

And Creed is finished, I'll pin him to the base once I've varnished him, pretty fun to paint mini, a bit cramped and the face had some faults but nothing too bad

Can't wait to put him on the field once I get around to try the new edition

So now that we've got that cleared up, here's what I've actually been working on now

I started painting my good ol Creed mini, which I will absolutely play instead of the new Creed which I felt was so oddly disrespectful to their own legacy (don't even get me started on them not naming the new tank after him...)

Either way, purple parts should be pretty much done and I've done some recess shading, next up I'll probably do the armor and coat

Let's see how long I can keep the updates rolling this time :'D

Hello peeps, I think it's time for another wave of hobby motivation after I lost interest in painting again when I burned out on these containers :'D

I actually got pretty far, the green ones are finished and the red ones are like halfway there, but for now the reds stay unfinished.

I really should learn to not try and do big bulk painting, it never works out for me as I loose interest somewhere on the way and then feel bad picking up anything else so I end up not doing any hobby for a while

Either way, with the release of the new edition (no matter if it's any good) I got motivated to work on my 40k army again, so I'll start posting stuff I'm doing, but also wanted to at least put a lil post on here with the containers and why there was another pause

btw, no worries that this is gonna become my regular content, that mini was for a themed month and next I'll finish the containers and then move onto something more regular again

Coaxoch is finished and photos are taken, very fun mini to paint and I had a chance to try out a bunch of new things, some of which went better than others, but I like how everything turned out in the end

did some more progress on the lizard lass and I'm actually close to being done, only the gem in her staff and on her headpiece are missing as well as some OSL I wanna try to put around the flame, then it's final touchups and the base and we're done!

I continued working on Coaxoch a bit, mainly her hair and scarf(?) with moderate success since I don't have as much experience with painting this sorta stuff, especially in very bright colors (but that's why I'm painting it)

I'm taking a short break from the containers since I've kinda burned out doing all that chipping, though the 3 blue/orange ones are done and hopefully the others are going faster once I return since they're all one color

Either way this is my little in between project which I censored a little since I'm not sure tumblr would be ok with this? Base colors are all on already and first layers on scales and skin are done so far

Still plenty to do, but I think I got a vision where I wanna go with it for now so that's why I thought I'd post a WIP shot :D

Had time to varnish the barrels and containers yesterday, so I was able to give the barrels their final radioactive touch with some glowy goop

also added some into the radioactive hazard container for extra effect since I made a bit too much

now I can proceed to weather the containers and do some chipping and rusting

hello everyone!

so the containers are actually done with their pre dirtying stage and wait for their first varnish so I don't damage the decals, but before doing that I had the idea to use the barrels that came with them for a little bit of radioactive fun

above is the current stage of that before varnishing them and then adding some secret sauce to the whole thing

these have been a good testbed to try the rust powders so if you got any feedback feel free to throw it my way and I'll try to incorporate it on the containers

good afternoon!

had time to continue working on the containers a bit, they got a drybrushin and I started putting decals onto them now

the decals are surprisingly time intensive (I'm applying them on both sides so it looks the same no matter how you turn it), but also quite neat to see it coming together after all the decals are on it's off for an inbetween varnish and then it's time to get dirty
