My birthday is this Sunday, September 11. If you'd like to celebrate with me, here are your options. Most of them are clear in the pictures, but my actual birthday is only in this description, so read on: SATURDAY 9/10 (tomorrow night) - Feed the Scene Show at the Depot with Urban Crater, Middle-Aged Queers, The Jukebox Romantics, and Braceface. I'll be there a little late because we'll be arriving after working faire all day, but I'll probably still be in garb, and I'm planning to bring a cake because we're celebrating Josh from Urban Crater birthday too. 🏁 SUNDAY 9/11 (my actual birthday) - I will be at work at MDRF on both Saturday and Sunday, but (hopefully) I should be getting most of my day off on Sunday to enjoy my birthday. If you want to hang out with me at faire, sing along at the White Hart, see Casey's show with me at 430, dance with me at Piper Jones, or buy me a rose or a mead, these would all be lovely ways I would appreciate celebrating my natal day with faire friends. And with any luck, Casey is going to let me fire the closing gate cannon. TUESDAY 9/13 - Feed the Scene Show at the Metro Baltimore with Joey Nayls, False Church, Retox A.D., and D.R.I. THURSDAY 9/15 - Feed the Scene Show at the Depot with Night Watch Paradox, Bastion's Wake, Brave the Sea. This is one of the last two metal shows I will be doing with FTS this year and I'm super excited to sing sea shanties with you all. Garb up, bring your tankard, and come join a crew of pirates for a night of fun! Spent a beautiful weekend with friends exploring the #wildandwonderful mountains of West Virginia at the #wvrenaissancefestival! Our 11 person invasion of #fairefriends from Maryland enjoyed reconnecting with old friends from the festival circuit as well as meeting some new friends. Casey and I had never been to this #renfaire (just finishing up its 4th season), but after being there just one weekend we can understand why so many of our friends love it there. With a gorgeous sprawling landscape nestled in a mountain valley, and much growth over its initial four seasons with multiple permanent stages and structures, the word of the weekend for WV Renfaire was "potential." A selection of my garb from various weekends at @mdrenfest this year. Changing my hair color to #phoenixfirehair at the beginning of the season definitely inspired me to play outside of my usual palette of red and black. Also added several pairs of pants and lots more scarves to my garb. Both of which taught me important lessons on planning your garb for how you privie. (That was an adventure the first time. Wooo! 😂) Also really proud of improving my makeup game a bit this season, which gave me a chance to play with more colors and unique looks.
