| BANANA FISH
I just finished watching Banana Fish and didn't cry until I read comments on YouTube while listening to the ending song, and I remembered every scene and maaan, I cried so haard. Like they deserve better, Ash deserved better. He's been through so much pain, and all he wanted was to be with Eiji. Like is that too much to ask for? Others said that it fits the ending for Ash because he killed many people and died peacefully like bruh he is peaceful with Eiji. What sucks is that after 8 years, Eiji went back to New York and was so depressed that he went to people looking like Ash. Eiji even looks at the pictures of Ash and cries and cries. The author said that it was an open ending, but bruh in the manga, it was clear that Ash died because of Eiji's monologue. One more thing is that Ash didn't seem like he achieved his revenge because those bastards should've rotten in jail till they died, but they just died. THEY SHOULD'VE SUFFERED IN JAIL!!! I can't blame Ash for his decision, but what about Eiji? He's seriously blaming himself, and it pains me. I can't forgive the author because he tortured and abused his character, ONLY TO DIE?! WHAT A LIE!!! I HATE IT!!!! AAARRRGGHHHH!!!! When I finished watching Banana Fish, I felt nothing. I felt empty. It's like a part of me was taken away from me, and that doesn't usually happen to me because if I finished watching anime, it either completes, satisfies, or disappoints me, but Banana Fish stole a part of me. It only hurt me. I felt incomplete. It made me half (I hope you get this feeling). It had an aftershock, and I hope this pain won't last long.
SA-YO-NA-RA.
PS. these are just my raw emotions. I'm just really hurt and in pain.
PS. I also know that this is a sad anime, but I didn't expected it to be this sad 😭

| ATTACK ON TITAN
Watching Attack on Titan gave me mixed emotions. It really is an outstanding show. The plot, characters, and overall is very well written. There is no villain nor hero, just people, just humans. It signifies loyalty but also betrayal. It unfolds that every person has different stories to tell and must be heard. At some point, I don't even know what's right from wrong and who's right from wrong because everyone's POV will help you understand what they've been through and why they're fighting. They all only want freedom, but they have different perspectives regarding it. They give their hearts for peace, but it results in more sacrifice. I want their sufferings and pain to end, but I don't want Attack on Titan to end.
At first, I thought this show was overhyped, but I was wrong. This show opened up wounds that I never want to feel ever again. It made me remember some memories that I never wanted to be reminded of. However, remembering and feeling it again was the reason why I love AOT. Through this, I was able to connect with the characters and empathize with their emotions. It comforted me in a way that I was hurt. It hurt so bad yet so good. Every episode of every season just keeps on getting remarkable. At one point, I just cried and cried on every episode. Every soundtrack, beat, and instrumental fits perfectly in every scene, making it more exciting and phenomenal. Losing someone is something I will never want for anyone. Attack on Titan is nothing but a masterpiece. This series tore me apart, but I surely recommend it to all. SHINZO WO SASAGEYO! ✊🏻

PERFECTION! 👏🏻 CHEF'S KISS 🙌🏻 This episode will really make you feel single and want to fall in love ❤ We finally have the rom-com we signed up for, and it just doesn't feel real because we cried for almost every episode. Choi Ung and Kook Yeonsu are so in love that it's also scary because it's like "the calm before the storm". BUT YEAH, LET'S ENJOY TONIGHT'S EPISODE AND JUST BE HAPPY!
What I love in this episode is when we had another compilation of their kiss in the first minutes, Choi Ung waiting outside for Yeonsu at the same spot, Yeonsu BACK HUGGED Choi ung, Choi Ung sleeping next to Ji-ung because he's sick, Choi Ung's mom cooking breakfast for Yeonsu, Choi Ung grabbing Yeonsu's waist and kissing her, Choi Ung saying that he'll always love Yeonsu and then his bnw world became colorful (like seriously tho, it's like he's reciting his wedding vow), and of course, them kissing at Choi Ung's home 🥰 LIKE LITERALLY EVERY SCENE OF THIS EPISODE ❤ This is really my comfort drama 👌🏻

| Our Beloved Summer Episode 11 thoughts
I thought I would be crying on tonight's episode because of pain, but I'm definitely wrong because it did make me cry but not because it was painful, but it was painfully comforting. We've seen that Choi Ung was like Jjongjjong, who's afraid of going out of their shell because they've been hurt and abandoned. However, Jjongjjong was finally able to reconnect to the world and accept others' love, and when Ung saw that, he told him that he was a traitor. Because maybe he thought that he's been left alone struggling.
This time Ung opened up to Yeonsu and told her about his real dad. He became vulnerable and chose to cry and let it all out in front of Yeonsu. What I love about this episode is that it's as if Ung really needs to cry. Like he really needs to meet Yeonsu's grandma, meet Jjongjjong and talk to Yeonsu so that he can get rid of all the pain. He's been hurting for way too long, and finally, he cried. He was just lost for so long, but now he's found. I do hope that if he's going to run again, then run to Yeonsu. They're perfectly made for each other.
This episode made me understand more that sometimes crying is comforting. Episode 11 redeemed Choi Ung's character on another level, and so I cannot emphasize more how much I love this drama.

In episode 7, we can see that little Ung ran away when asked to talk about his family; maybe it's because that his father abandoned him, and he doesn't want to be reminded of that pain. That is why, I came to a conclusion that maybe Choi Ung can't say "I love you" to Yeonsu verbally is because he used to say it to his father, who left him all alone. Again, maybe but if this is true, my heart pains for Choi Ung. I hope Choi Ung and Kook Yeonsu will understand each other in the remaining episodes.

there’s something so easily captivating about our beloved summer. about choi woong and kook yeonsoo.
it may be that they don’t have the craziest or the most astounding backgrounds. choi woong was raised by the most loving parents in the world who own a restaurant. kook yeonsoo struggled with debt, but grew up with her grandmother. the two of them were young when they met, they didn’t have all the exaggerated and wild stories that usually come along in a kdrama storyline. they were simply high schoolers who lived their own lives.
so when they finally did stumble into each other’s lives, we saw the progression of them falling for each other. i don’t even know if it was a crush, but more like a subconscious one. one of those moments when you glance back one again and realize that you have fallen for them. that’s what kook yeonsoo and choi woong captured under the rain. it was so simple, yet beautifully written.
then comes the smaller moments. the ones that are built on top of each other. the way that choi woong carried yeonsoo’s backpack for her as they walked to school. the way that yeonsoo kept woong’s little note that wrote “let’s go outside” on it. the way that woong packed dinner for yeonsoo while she worked at the convenience store. the way that yeonsoo would touch woong’s forehead because he frowned in his sleep. the way that they always promise to make their way back to each other. the way that “let’s go eat” means that they have made up to the both of them. these are the moments, the type of love that we crave to experience. so simple, so small, but the most meaningful.
we can relate to these characters because they embody the different feelings and emotions that we experience when we are in love, whether it’s how woong is the kindest and softest character ever, yet he can also be so petty and hold a grudge for years. it could also be the way yeonsoo’s walls are always so high and she always is on guard, but once she lets someone in, she becomes one of the most loving people ever. take the cherry blossom scene for example, it’s those little moments.
the way the two of them intertwine is very endearing and warms my heart. from the outside, it looks like they just find joy in pushing each other around, messing with each other and all. they like to say they hate each other, but you see, love and hate walks a thin line. when they meet each other in the middle, they click perfectly. like one never existed without the other. they help each other become better people, not in an unattainable way, but in a realistic, step by step kind of way.
so when they break up, we automatically try to figure out who to blame it on. it’s natural for us to do that because it makes us feel better. in the beginning it was yeonsoo’s fault, she was the one who had broken up with woong, left him alone to deal with the aftermath, and walk away from it all. then, for the first time, we heard yeonsoo’s point of view. we saw her struggle, her reason, and the pain she endured and hid away. so then, we blamed woong for not being able to see through her.
the truth is,
they struggled within themselves. woong and yeonsoo needed a redo. a second try. and i think that within themselves, they secretly knew it then too. because they are the only ones for each other: soulmates i would say. but not in the star crossed lovers type of way, because we saw that love couldn’t hold them together forever. soulmates in more of a “i promise i will always run back to you” type of way. but through that, they also need to acknowledge each other’s inner feelings, grow, and communicate together.
it all feels so real.
it’s heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time.

she's so relatable and it hurts 😞💔
This post is solely about Yeon su.
Kook Yeon su saying she had this fear where ung might notice her inferiorites is one of the most relatable things I've ever heard in a kdrama. To be in love with someone where he's kind of free spirited but you live day to day to make ends meet is of course hurtful at least to some point till you settle and think.
She was harsh on herself the whole time while ung was a reality escape for her but now that her reality hit back she had no option but to act fine the whole time like for years though it was killing her inside.
I hope in any of the future eps she makes sure that people around her and ung know she had a hard time too.
Distancing yourself from people you love because you seem pathetic and are afraid they might see you as you see yourself is one of the most horrible fears I hope Yeon su can overcome it.
