YKMET Progress

I've been rather quiet about my work lately haven't I? Well, I'm happy to report that I've just finished the coded script for Strade's remix [ YKMET ]. This means that the game is basically functional- but of course there's still a lot of work to be done! I'm about to begin with the sketch placeholders for the art, and the art always takes the longest for my games.

The script came out a bit longer than I anticipated. I knew it was going to be somewhat larger, but the script is more than twice as long as Strade's original path already, and I haven't even put in any of the image coding. I still have some framework coding to be done as well, things that will be easier once I have some artwork in place [ like the CG gallery for example ].

I can't provide a release date this early in the process yet, but I hope to get the next phases done in around a year- but it really depends on how much art I'll ultimately need and how long it'll take to draw it all.

But in general, I feel like production is going very well :)

Ren has probably has picked up on a lot of German, sometimes replying to Strade in German. Ren probably blasts Japanese and anime music in his room. Wouldn't be shocked if he does it so much he sometimes catches Strade humming something hes blasted. Ren with freckles my beloved but are just slightly hidden due to lack of sun. Strade and Ren probably argue to watch anime in sub or dub. After the incident I wouldn't be shocked if Ren put Strade's button down on his body pillow. Since theres not much info on how Strade and Ren met besides the usual bar, I feel like it would be a online meeting gone wrong scenario. I feel like during Ren's "heats" Strade would purposely ignore him to torture him until hes a begging mess. Strade has 100% gone through Ren's sketch book which is probably the worst thing he could do /j Since Gatobob said Strade is easier to deal with when drunk I wouldn't be surprised if Ren offers him beer a lot to not have to deal with his BS. Strade seems like the type to get only meat and cheese no veggies or condiments on his sandwiches. Ren seems like he is terrified of storms or loud sounds in general. (Im gonna draw some of these probably or right small scenario things on these)

What if…

Hey Gato, I said, you know that one ending in Strade’s route?…what if Rire was there for that reason? (•̀ᴗ•́) And then what if it linked to that other thing?

For those interested the deals were:

Strade made a deal with Rire a while back, hence why he’d never been found out for all his murdering fun times. Rire gave him several extra years (without telling him) because he found his antics entertaining.

Ren asked for help and “to be free” and probably didn’t fully realise he’d made a deal when he did so.

MC made a very desperate deal to “not die” and “get them out of there” (both technically fulfilled).
