I deleted all my socials, but I might leave this account up for archival purposes (also people don’t really flock to my vtuber Tumblr that much, so I don’t mind)

“Why did you delete your socials?”

Listen, I love VTubing and streaming and a lot of pals I met in the community, but people don’t realize how long I had been streaming. I started VTuber streaming late 2020 to save up for a proper PC that could handle VSeeFace and OBS. Getting into it, I didn’t get into it for most reasons others did (like looking up to pre-existing bigger VTubers). I liked it because I loved streaming with friends and loved reaching out to people to talk to. I also was very intrigued by the technical aspects that are often taken for granted in the process of making models and assets.

Overtime, I wanted to use my platform to share all the beautiful and wonderful horror games I could find that I wanted to share that experience with people and how well made they were.

The problem was that everytime I tried to stream consistently, I would burn out or have something bad happen to my mental health that would fatigue me for week(s). My physical health and IRL situation would worsen. I couldn’t balance school and work alongside this because I prioritized this passion over my responsibilities due to how badly the pandemic affected my social skills. I would burn myself out and tried to keep going, but for months I wanted to just stop. I would try to push through to see where things lead but a lot of my motivations are gone now.

I’m deeply heartbroken making this decision but I never knew what end goal I had in mind and just wanted to see where it leads. But it’s not easy going by that anymore when I’m in a situation where I need to move out and need to graduate so I can get a job to get me out of my current living situation. I’m in no position to be a leader of a community. I need to work on IRL me because I felt like I was nothing without VTubing but it’s not true. I just need to put myself back together again.

That being said, this social will stay up but please do not talk me out of this decision. All my channels and socials are gone and I’m just trying to get back up on my feet.

I will always love/hate bringing up my VTubers character’s (yes, plural) lore because it’s nice to get the imaginary scenarios out of my head but also holy shit I’d rather just make a comic or a video or something so I don’t have to over explain EVERY SINGLE THING!!!!
