hello, just curious to know if you'll be hosting an event for 2022?

hey there! given how this last big bang went and how it just ended back in july, probably not ^^ it's a lotta work to plan and organize and 3 of our 4 mods are looking to graduate this year & the fourth is working on publishing the finale for her original novel trilogy, so a big bang does not look like it's in the stars for us for the time being ^^ if more people are interested, we might start posting bing prompts again or maybe a fic exchange, but for the moment, we're all focusing on our real life priorities.

Sorry if that answer is kinda disappointing, but if you want to participate in another event, keep an eye out on this blog, join the discord, and feel free to encourage anyone else you know would want to participate to do the same ^^

Summary: For @bleachbigbang 2021. Chapter 1.5/?. WARNINGS- referenced abusive relationships, referenced self-injury, alcoholism; Toushirou tries to be a good brother and it’s always come to bite him in the ass.

Most often, Toushirou was defined as sassy, introverted, and bratty. Albeit it was mostly by his peers. His subordinates referred to him as Captain, and Captain only.

Toushirou was fine with that. He was kind of thrust into the position. He never really wanted to be a shinigami, initially joining as a means to control his power, before unintentionally killing his grandmother. After Isshin’s disappearance, juubantai needed a leader. Their options were slim at the time. He took the helm for the good of his squad.

All captainship got him was more work, mauled, and ruined his relationship with his sister. It wasn’t something he was grateful for.

Perhaps his subordinates defined him as pessimistic behind his back.

Bleach Big Bang Fic~~~~

I’m rather pleased that I got this far. 16k words of Bleach fic, with Shinji/Kisuke and eventual Ichigo/Kisuke. Eventually. So far, I only have chapter one done. Yes, there are 16,000 words in chapter one. My life, it will hate me. 

So, posting a link to AO3, because it’s a lot of fic. A lot. 

Fandom: Bleach(surprise!)

Characters: A shit ton. Kurosaki Ichigo, Urahara Kisuke, Visored, others. Most are only there for bits at the moment, but they’ll make more appearances later. 

Summary:  After the Visored were changed, Kisuke had a multitude of theories. One of those was that they might still be contagious. A slip during training proves that theory, and now he has to get his own hollow side under control with the help of his friends. As always, that’s easier said than done, given that Kisuke’s hollow is as odd as he is.

Unfortunately, his friendship with the maths teacher seems to drag him into plots that are far outside of anything he’s ever known.

The group had settled on blankets by the bay as the fireworks went off in the distance, the booms, cracks, and sparkles of them could be heard clearly. As they all watched, they got close to each other and kept warm on their shared blankets, friends, or couples, they didn’t care. Grimmjow and Ichigo, Chad and Orihime, Renji and Rukia, Mizuiro and Keigo shared their blankets as pairs, but Uryuu and Tatsuki had their own little spots on their blankets.

They had traveled to America for the school year as transfer students in South Texas and this was the first time that they had seen fireworks like this outside of the tv, and they were the best experience that they have had since being there, thus far. Grimmjow, Keigo, Rukia, and Renji were off in the distance cheering while their partners and friends smiled and watched them as the finale of the fireworks were going off on the boardwalk.

After the fireworks ended, they all picked up their blankets and bags of used small sparklers and party poppers that they had bought beforehand from the Kroger that was close to their host parents’ houses the day before.

Attention Fic Writers!!

Alrighty, everyone! So sorry about the delay, your admins and mods were a little busy this weekend. 

As you know, the initial sign-ups for Bang Writers have closed! 

Now it’s time to start finalizing your fic concepts. We’ve prepared a survey for our writers to fill out to tell us their fic summary, content warnings, main characters, & pairings. It’s okay if it’s different from what your initial sign up said, so long as you like the concept and you know where you’re going. 

This survey is due on October 23, 2020

In addition, writers are expected to submit a brief (500 words or more) writing sample for your fics. This is not meant to be an outline, but a brief excerpt from your story. We want to ensure you, the writer, are able to engage with your story concept as well as allow you to show off your writing style to potential artists and proofreaders. You may submit them as a link to a google doc or dropbox file, or copy-paste the sample into the survey directly.
