HISTORY:

Being an only child, Cara was doted upon by her parents in the best ways possible without spoiling her. Signs that she was a magician were making themselves apparent at a very young age, even before the was fully practicing magic. When she was accepted to Blayse Academy, her parents were not surprised, but nonetheless thrilled, and the giftedness that they saw during her first two years of Normís school was encouraged when she got to Blayse. She was studious and a quick learner, which matched that of her childhood friend, Washington Jones, whom she nicknamed Wash at a very young age. So, when Wash was also accepted, Cara was able to spend a majority of her Primary Years with him even as their different abilities became distinctly apparent.

As they approached testing for their Secondary years, Cara knew right away that they would be going to separate Paradóseis. But that didn't keep them apart. As they grew older, the fondness between the two increased, leading up to them dating at the start of their specialty years.

The beginning of those years, however, proved different. As they entered their tests to determine which specialty they had, Cara watched as Wash determined he was a Seeker, which suited his personality. One who sought magical objects that were pertinent to their magical history as well as those around them. It befitted him, especially as he had been placed in Parádosis Athene, and so she was not surprised.

What was surprising, however, to not only Cara, but to the establishment as a whole, was that when Cara went to test for her specialty, they discovered that she not only had Lightbending, but was also a Time Manipulator. Knowing that it was rare to have two specialties, let alone that she and another student a year apart had that in common, Cara became at odds with many of the students and a favorite with the professors in a completely different way.

Granted, Cara had never cared about the attention, but she knew it was her abilities combined with her intelligence that caused her to be intimidating to other students and, occasionally, other professors. And, while not a direct after effect, as the two grew during their specialty years, Wash and Cara broke up. Despite being the childhood sweethearts everyone saw them as, their relationship went back to being good friends over time. The best decision, which was something that became more apparent with time, as their friendship became even stronger after the fact, even as they graduated.

Shortly after that, Cara met Blaine, a fellow Blayse graduate that she hadn't interacted with mainly because their lives at the Academy had been so vastly different. She knew that he came from a haunted past, and quickly learned that that past had led to him caring for his sister as closer to a daughter than the sibling she actually was. That, in and of itself, had broken Cara's heart, but the strength she saw in Blaine was one she had never seen in anyone else before. And it didn't take long before the two of them started to date. Cara would attend his Thunderball games and became close to Zoe, seeing her much like the sister she never had, and watched as the darkness that had hovered over Blaine for so long finally started to lift.

Three years later, and after having fallen so deeply in love with him, she said 'Yes.'

HISTORY:

Blaine Andersen grew up in a household with parents that were always up to some heist or sketchy criminal business. They were constantly in and out of the house, leaving a young Blaine to take care of himself. It was often that one or the both of them were gone for extended lengths of time, either a couple days or months at a time. He never learned if it was because of something they were working on or because they had finally been caught.

But then, one day, when he was about 9-years-old, his parents came home with a newborn little girl. That was the moment he realized that he’d do anything to protect his younger sister, Zoe, from the dangers of his parents. He was always worried they’d end up bringing home trouble, and he tried his absolute best to take care of her since they’d leave her on her own with him.

The problem was, however, that by then he was already into his second year at Blayse Academy. Luckily, or so he thought, he’d be home whenever he wasn’t physically at class. Therefore, he was able to still care for Zoe as best he could.

Years later, when he was starting to get ready for Secondary, things seemed even worse with his parents. They were rarely ever home, and they always seemed to bring some sort of darkness or gloom with them.

When Blaine was only 17, already deep into an early and very successful Thunderball career as well as excelling in his mathematics specialty, he received a letter that his parents had passed away in incarceration and all of their fortune had passed onto him. At that time, Zoe was just getting settled into her first year at Blayse, and when he broke the news to her she was hardly upset. He figured that was only because she had rarely actually seen them, with next to no memories of either their mother or father.

So Blaine switched gears, putting Zoe up in an apartment in Luxembourg, somewhere close where he could keep an eye over her between classes. And as the years passed by, she became more self-dependent. He had always tried his absolutely best for her, and even though he wasn’t a father, that relationship had passed onto him the moment his parents left them.

After graduating from Blayse, Blaine moved into a house with his sister, and he focused on his Thunderball career until he met Cara. His world became a very different place after that, where before had been grim and so focused on his younger sister, but after meeting her everything seemed a little more bright. He was able to both play the sport he was passionate about, watch over his sister, and fall so incredibly quickly for Cara.

Everything seemed better when he was with her, he wasn’t stuck in the gloom that his parents had set over Zoe and himself. Afraid that their reputation would come back to put his younger sister in some kind of danger. Those doubts slowly went away as she became older and he was able to focus on his relationship with Cara. And after three years of dating, Blaine proposed to the love of his life.

He would have never thought that the most beautiful and memorable word he would ever hear from her was “yes”.

HISTORY:

Evelyn grew up as an only child in a very dysfunctional household. Her mother and father never wanted children, and thus they treated Evelyn with contempt and she was used as the source for most, if not all, of their arguments. At the age of seven, with the worst argument her parents had had to date, her father left them, leaving Evelyn more of a mess than she had ever been.

Fortunately, shortly after this Evelyn was accepted to Blayse Academy where she used the school as an escape from the life she’d known before, barely picking herself up in the process. She buried herself deeply into the studies of her Primary Years. During these years, she and her mother only spoke when she was home and, occasionally, through a couple of letters throughout the year. As her Primary Years continued, however, those letters became once a year as their relationship grew even more strained, if that were even possible.

However, as her mother was a Regulator, and the two did not see eye-to-eye on most subjects, that only added to the estranged relationship as Evelyn grew into her own person.

Evelyn passed easily from her Primary Years into her Secondary, happy to remain at the school that she had come to see as more of a home than anything else. But what pleased her more was that she had been placed into Parádosis Ares, and yet she differed from many of her classmates, being ruthless in a completely different way.

Keeping to herself, Evelyn was almost seen as a loner, the idea of someone caring for her after what she’d been shown by the people who were supposed to love her the most seemingly as distant as the stars she loved so dearly. Astronomy quickly became her favorite and best subject, giving her something that was constant and never-changing. Something she could always rely on.

It was also during her first year of Secondary Year that she met Aiden, but had no interest in forming any kind of friendship, let alone relationship.

Yet, as they came upon the middle of their second year, he proved Evelyn wrong. Not everybody leaves.

For the first time, Evelyn was finally shown what real love looks like. She found her star on earth. Her constant.

And she’s never letting go.

HISTORY:

Aiden grew up in a large family among many brothers and sisters. But he wasn’t part of just any typical family, no, he was one of the youngest in the (once thought died off) royal House of Wessex. Dating back as far as the 1200s, his family was said to be direct descendants of Ares, the God of War who displayed special powers of strength and physicality. Every single individual from his line, all of his brothers and sisters, parents, and ancestors, belonged to the Parádosis Ares. Well, everyone but Aiden.

When it came to hobbies and interests, Aiden was one of the few Football players of his family. Because all of his siblings were competitive, it was common to be surrounded by sports as he grew up at Hackwood Park in Hampshire, South England. Even from a young age, when he barely knew how to walk, he had a ball at his feet as much as humanly possible. Aiden was a part of youth football clubs as soon as he was old enough, and when he got into Blayse Academy, that passion never stopped.

The Primary Years at Blayse were incredibly difficult for him, he knew he wasn’t the smartest of his siblings (except when it came to mathematics), but he was an incredibly hard worker. And that was the key to his success during the Primary Years, allowing him to pass his exams and continue on to Secondary.

Aiden knew he wasn’t exactly like the rest of his siblings, his calm and compassionate personality almost seemed like a weakness in the eyes of his parents. So as much as it wasn’t a surprise that he hadn’t fit into Parádosis Ares, nothing had made his parents and oldest siblings more disappointed than learning that he was a part of

Parádosis Eleos. They saw it as an exact representation of his fragility, as they viewed Eleos to be the weakest of the houses.

But then he had met Evelyn in his first year of Secondary, and together they had been each other’s rock. Each other’s protector. Each other’s constant.

And he had fallen so quickly, and so madly in love.

Hello all! My name is Jennifer, I’m 28, and an almost-graduated senior with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Colorado and Parádosis Eleos. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, honestly, easily since Elementary school, but I took a more serious take on it during my middle school years and have been passionate about it and story-telling ever since, which led to my concentration in college being literacy. While I wrote several short stories when I was very young, Harry Potter was the first thing I wrote about with someone else, but my favorite genres to write in are contemporary, fantasy, and historical fiction. I have personally been working on a book for several years as well as working on another one in collaboration with a friend for the last three or so years. Writing for Blayse Academy has been an absolute thrill thus far and only builds upon my passion for story-telling, something I look forward to doing for years to come.

Howdy, the name's Alexander and I'm in Parádosis Nike. I am also 28, but older by two months which counts, thank you very much. At the moment I am trying to stay sane during this arguably strange (and of course awful) situation that we are in. But on the positive side...I am starting my Master's in Game Development this summer, which I'm incredibly excited about. And as for writing, well, I suppose we're pretty similar. If I can remember correct, which normally I can't, I started writing on the Harry Potter Boards while in middle school. And once I made it to college I switched over to RPing on Tumblr, which is where I get my experience for making this RPG from. But that was several years ago, and I am a bit rusty on this platform (it's changed quite a bit, hasn't it?). Last year I started getting back in writing by hopping back into a world I felt very familiar with. Harry Potter. And that was where I met Jennifer. So, I guess that's pretty cool.

Here at Blayse Academy, we work to maintain a PG-13 community. All posts must be written in third-person.

This means that you should not be giving graphic descriptions of the following:

Abuse - whether sexual, domestic, or otherwise

Gore - violence of any kind

Sexually-themed content - fade-out is the preferred method

Any images posted as well as outside links should also remain PG-13.

Cutting Posts

Please ensure your replies to others’ posts only include your reply as well as the other individual’s post before yours. Everyone hates seeing those dozen reply-long posts.

God-Modding

Unless you and the person you are writing with have agreed that this is acceptable to whatever degree you have communicated, taking control of any other character besides your own is not permitted.
