Hi there! I'm wanting to cosplay Monaka Towa soon maybe for AWA or BanzaiCon! Although, it's hard finding wigs for the pickle princess. Any advice for a newbie?

absolutely! i got you covered!

a ref–

here are some wigs id suggest (arda wigs have the suggested color in the url)–

with the curly wigs, you’d want to straighten them on low heat with a hair straightener.

my best suggestion for styling it, for the bangs, just make them curl to the side! like this shape–

make about three large curls. she canonically has 5, but i don’t know if you can make big enough curls…you can make them all face the same direction, or not. what you want to do is tuck the ends of the curls behind each other! that way, they just look round. kinda like this?

(thats so badly drawn omfg) but the red parts would be tucked under hair!

as for the big curls in her hair, if you get a longer wig, this is what you can do:

separate the hair into locks the size of what you want each big curl to be. then use hair spray or watered down fabric glue to point the end of each lock. make sure each lock will stay together! (don’t hairspray the whole thing, though.)

then, curl the bottom half of the lock up. not with product! just with your hand. once you have it placed so that there’s a nice curl at the bottom, use hair glue/fabric glue/modge podge/elmer’s glue to attach the point of the lock where it touches the top! like so–

uhh…sorry for these crappy refs.

anyway, use a hair drier to cement that. it should work! then feel free to hairspray the crap out of it.

that should do it! if it looks too weird, other options are using short curly wigs, or trying to make the curls with foam core? but youd need a lot of wefts for that.
