Clad in a green and gold armour with a crown of roses upon black hair, he still played the part of the king; a pale memory of Robert at his age. « Cease this folly, brother. » On the contrary, the King wore a plainer armour and a crown of red and gold flames that seemed afire under the light of the torches. The bloody history of those lands had often pitted siblings against each other, a desire for power at the centre of wars; yet the now eldest brother resented that notion. His was not a war of ambition nor one for personal gain — it was justice he sought. « Relinquish the crown and bend the knee; and you will be pardoned. »

Does anyone actually listen to Stannis? Aside from Davos, whose fascination with that man is inexplicable, and the red woman, who obviously misinterpreted a sign her God gave her...no one else is by his side. No one that will not dissert him with the right amount of money or glory. And this man wants to be King? Westeros will fall within a week.

His brother’s words, are no surprise of course, and Renly can’t help but laugh ❝ It seems that along with your hair — ❞ he points at the other’s head, still laughing ❝ you’ve lost your sense of sight and reason, Stannis. ❞ Renly grins lightly, amused by his own statement. Well, someone has to be. ❝ You do not seem to see the size of army, the banners sworn to fight for me. And you believe that a God can help you. ❞ he shakes his head, tongue clicking as if he wants to make it even more obvious that he is judging him ❝ Do you honestly believe that if your rather beautiful, I have to admit, witch is going to make my army vanish? ❞
