“What are you doing?”

“I thought it’s clear,” Kuroo answered, his fingers pressing into the grooves of Yaku’s ankle.

Yaku leaned back and swung his uninjured leg absently - seated on the bench, his heel just skimmed the cold floor. The edge of the bench cut into his palms, but the sensation was overridden by a dart shooting up his leg.

He shivered, and Kuroo glanced up. “There?”

“There,” Yaku confirmed, and watched as Kuroo’s head dropped again, gently holding his ankle as he reached for the roll of tape.

He never could understand how Kuroo’s hair didn’t flatten when he sweat after a training session. The guy stunk, and yet his hair looked as messy as ever, unchanged.

“It’s not -“ Yaku swallowed, then cursed himself for stopping. “It’s not anything serious, right?”
