I genuinely love Albus.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for dark haired with a beard men, but Albus is a favorite character in GBA's story (not including Raze because that's all entirely based on dululus in my head)

He's so loveable but hate-able at the same time.

But him being hate-able is the point. Thats what he wants. He knows how to push people's buttons to make them not wanna get close to him, so when they do eventually betray him in some way (and for him, it's an unfortunate guarantee) I'll hurt less.

Which is why I love him and Faith's relationship. This is a woman who went from treating him like everyone else does, to someone who genuinely cares about him. Because despite what Albus thinks, he is loveable, he does care, but he doesn't believe it. She doesn't know fully what he went through, but that's fine.

She was inside this man's mind, and instead of the horrors that she and Devlin were imagining, they got a made up world where Albus is happy. He was happy. Do you know how fucked up your life has to be to desire a world where you're just..happy?

I won't go into the whole relating to Albus because of the being a basterd thing, but it goes deeper then just, "Haha I'm fatherless" it's the relationship with his dad. That's all I'm gonna say.

The thought that there's no point in putting effort into friendships or relationships because they'll all leave eventually is relatable, keeping everyone at a distance so you don't hurt as much is painfully true.

I love Albus. Id hug him if I could. I could draw that but I'm lazy. I can't wait to see more of my favorite basterd

I wanna write a book about religious trauma so bad.

It's just like a fantasy world where they force 'prophecies' to happen and brainwash people into thinking they're either worthless or literally everything. They even cause certain people to go insane, saying insanity is a gift from a lesser god to make one truly feel or something crazy like that.

It's also mainstream government, similar to how the Romans forced people to worship their gods.
