open letter to any celeste people go install everest and then go download strawberry jam if your computer can handle it which it most likely can. i think objectively the best mod in many ways just based on its diversity and breadth of skill. not necessarily like "top ten rooms ever" but overall it just works so well. over 8 hours of original music, 5 difficulties (6 really cuz the crackeds and gmhs go above for sure), over 350 contributors and over 110 individual levels. its like the quintessential mod now. and when ur done do 100trap golden to hate celeste again

vbyss is good, 7d1d is always a classic, spring collab is cool to get back to, but sj takes it full ladders higher than the few rungs of sc and others imo. solar express might be my favourite map ever but like theo gp is fun to me somehow. anyway im gonna get back to expert silvers maybe ill hate it like a normal person by then :3

good luck to anyone who gets it, i promise its worth it to play it through to the end. if you dont know how to set up mods go to clord.

if you havent done all vanilla chapters definitely do that first though dont just be like "hey guys i did 4b 5b was too hard so im going to try some mods yay yay yay" you will waste your time. be patient with basegame, then go wild with mods

One thing I love about tears of the kingdom is that they have a mix of old and new music. Like the battle music from botw is so good but the buildup in totk’s is really really nice and I love the chest theme. I love how stables are the same but shrines are different (obviously). speaking of though the new shrine theme is actually good. Just mmmm I’m glad they kept the horse music and all that and all the new music is great and all the old music is obviously great and idk I’m just very happy about it :> still haven’t got to any 4 main villages cuz I’m moving kinda slowly but hopefully they have cool new versions of the theme even tho that’s kinda unlikely. Anyway that’s my rant mrrow

I feel like I need to tell everyone how brilliantly the Globe incorporated a deaf Gildenstern into the 2018 Hamlet and then force all of you to watch it

ok, so Gildenstern is played by a deaf actor, Nadia Nadarajah. he* signs all his lines, and either Rosencratz interprets for him, or the person he’s talking to says something that makes it obvious what he just said, depending. how each character reacts to Gildenstern is completely in-character and often hilarious

Claudius and Gertrude are intensely awkward around Gildenstern. they obviously don’t know BSL so they just gesture emphatically but aimlessly when they talk.

Hamlet, who of course is friends with R&G, *does* know BSL. he starts off by signing fluently whenever he’s talking to them but, as his distrust of them grows, he signs less and less until he’s only signing the equivalent of “fuck off” whenever he talks

Polonius just shouts really loud whenever he tries to talk to Gildenstern

it’s all brilliant and adds another layer of humor and pathos and you should all watch it

*casting at the Globe right now is gender neutral so I’m just going to use the character’s pronouns

#whoa I have to see these now #I saw Titus andronicus at the globe and 1: all women cast 2: there was no blood #only candles that burnt out when people died and 3: songs. full on musical numbers #it was so so awesome and I love that the globe continues to adapt Shakespeare into a contemporary context while still keeping what we love
