For “gala” + “Temari” I couldn’t think of anything but @dayeongi ‘s description of Temari in her fic, Burning. Give it a read if you haven’t already (cw for smut in the last chapter). Here’s the passage from the beginning of her fic that I love so much:

After all, life had proved it right to him so many times, more than a saying, it had become general knowledge.
