You're now looking 2000+ years back in time to what is verified as indigenous ancient #Egyptian faces. Let that sink in for a moment.⁣ ⁣ The portraits represent native Egyptians, some of whom had adopted #Greek or #Latin names, then seen as ‘status symbols’. DNA studies show genetic continuity between the Pre-Ptolemaic, #Ptolemaic and #Roman populations, indicating that foreign rule impacted the town’s population only to a very limited degree at the genetic level (Schuenemann, et al., 2017).⁣ ⁣ Studies often pursue the analysis of discrete dental traits to determine biological relationships of populations using dental remains. One of these studies were done by the anthropologist Joel D. Irish (2006). ⁣ ⁣ The dental morphology of the Roman-period Fayum mummies was compared with that of earlier Egyptian populations, and was found to be "much more closely akin" to that of ancient Egyptians than to Greeks or other European populations.⁣ ⁣ The Greek Egyptians were found to be distinct from other, more closely grouped samples on the left of Figure 5; as before, Badari, #Thebes, and Hawara (owners of the Fayum portraits) are at the center of this cluster.⁣ ⁣ Hawara (HAW) is an early Roman-period burial ground for elite members of the #Fayum Oasis populace. It was excavated by Petrie.⁣ ⁣ Such results are consistent with those of a craniometry study on the same sample (Bowman, 1989). ⁣ ⁣ -Bowman, A. K. (1989). F.B.I. has worked with the MFA to understand more about the mummy of Djehutynakht using genetic investigation. Djehutynakht is a high ranking government official in Ancient Egypt who lived during the early Middle Kingdom. The results showed that he had a Eurasian DNA lineage. ⁣ ⁣ Djehutynakht's remains were found at the necropolis of Deir el-Bersha, 250 km South of Cairo. His tomb dates to the end of the 11th and beginning of the 12th dynasties.  ⁣ ⁣ The observed U5 lineage could reflect interactions between Egypt and the Near East that date back as far as the Predynastic and the early Dynastic periods. ⁣ ⁣ Out of the mtDNA sequences recovered from ancient Egyptian human remains, the Djehutynakht sequence most closely resembles a U5a lineage of a 2000-year-old skeleton from Abusir el-Meleq — according to the Verena J. Schuenemann et al. (2017) Abusir Mummies study. ⁣ ⁣ As the F.B.I. scientists worked to confirm their results, another group affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Germany reported a successful extraction of ancient DNA from Egyptian mummies. Their results showed that Djehutynakht's genetic findings fit well with what the F.B.I.-MFA team had found, says Alexander Peltzer—a population geneticist at the Planck Institute and an author on the Abusir Mummies paper. This is important because it adds to the scientific consensus on the predominantly Eastern origin of the Ancient Egyptians.⁣ ⁣ -Loreille, O., Ratnayake, S., Bazinet, A., Stockwell, T., Sommer, D., Rohland, N., Irwin, J. The ancient Egyptians knew how to depict themselves and thier enemies correctly.⁣⁣

They meant to emphasize the racial differences between them and thier enemies. Features like the snub nose, protruding lips, fizzy hair, balbous forehead, Nubian earring; feathers, etc..⁣⁣⁣

Irish, "Dental morphological affinities of Late Pleistocene through recent sub-Saharan and north African peoples", 1998.
Tumblr media
The analysis of discrete dental traits is often used to determine biological relationships of populations using dental remains. The work of Joel D. Irish (1998) examines several African popuations and concludes that ancient Egyptian populations show more dental similarity to modern North Africans, Arabs, and even Europeans, than to Sub-Saharan Africans.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ "First, 36 morphological features in 1, 643 dentitions from over 30 samples throughout the continent have been recorded... Second, these traits were compared among samples with the multivanate Mean Measure of Divergence (MMD) statistic; multidimensional scaling is employed to illustrate the MMD-based relationships." (Irish, 1998)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ "Third, pooled Sub-Saharan and North African trait frequencies were compared with published data from five non-African samples. It is shown that North Africans appear most like Europeans and perhaps western Asians; Sub-Saharan Africans are unlike all other samples." (Irish, 1998)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ "[The 13 North African samples] (excluding Mesolithic Nubia)... are plotted in a tight cluster on the right of the figure. With the exception of Meroitic, X-Group, and Christian Nubians (top of North African cluster), no strong intra-region trends are evident." (Irish, 1998)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ "...Assuming phenetic similarity parallels genetic relatedness, these biological distance estimates reveal that: (a) significant differences exist between most Sub-Saharan and North African samples..."
"The Muslim Egyptians one sees in cities and rural areas are —probably— not descendants of the Arabs at all, and it isn't appropriate to regard them as such except for what concerns their tongue and religion. Merely looking at their physical appearance and that of the Copts [Christian Egyptians] is sufficient to be convinced that they are exactly matching in their ethnic features. Consequently, Muslim Egyptians are in fact non other than Copts who adopted the religion of Islam." (El-Shaikh Ali Youssef, El mouaid Newspaper, March 13, 1849)

Afrocentrists promote laughable claims such as that "whites" —referring to North Africans!— can't take the "burning sun of Africa", so that they wouldn't have been able to erect a civilization along the banks of the Nile! They follow it by saying that we —indigenous North African Caucasians— do not belong to where we are.. #WishfulThinking.
Modern statistics from (WHO) show that North Africa, and the greater Middle East region (MENA) as a whole, experience some of the lowest levels of Melanoma incidence and mortality rates among the world's populations. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that is mainly, almost exclusively, caused by exposure to sun.
Afrocentrists seem to have too many lies to keep up with. While they —in their narratives—acknowledge that the so-called "invading" North African Caucasians are thriving in their place for centuries, they still have the audacity to claim that this can't be the case in the past. Why wouldn't it be? Egypt is in the same climate zone as Israel, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Cyprus, Greece, etc.. Looks like the Sub-Saharan Africans are the ones who shouldn't be in their place ;) They don't seem to take their Sun as good as North Africans take theirs.
Such grossly inaccurate remarks only show how much the Afrocentrists are trapped in their "very limited experience" of transatlantic slavery that shaped their "very limited perception" of the world.

The cranio-facial morphology of the ancient #Egyptians has absolutely nothing to do with that of modern sub-saharans. "[The] data provide no support for the claim that there was a "strong negroid element" in Predynastic Egypt" (Brace et al. 1993) One of the most common ways of assessing population relationships has been the comparative analysis of skull types. Such a study was carried out by the physical anthropologists C. Loring brace and 5 co-researchers who statistically analysed the range of 24 cranial measurements from diverse world samples including the ancient Egyptians The Predynastic of Upper #Egypt and the late Dynastic of lower Egypt were found to be more closely related to each other than to any other population. Both demonstrated ties with European Neolithic, North Africa, modern Europe and more remotely India; but, not at all with sub-saharan Africa Upon testing for a set of measurements; cranial height, nasal projection and Woo & Morant's assessment for facial flatness; both the Predynastic and the late Dynastic Egyptians were found to be closer to the European cluster than to any other regional cluster in the world The discriminant function used shows how likely it is that the group being tested can be excluded from the group to which it is compared The results successfully grouped the ancient Egyptian samples together and differentiated between them and the rest of the samples. Thus, further asserting that the affinities are real, and not a product of a statistical or illustrative method "We conclude that the Egyptians have been in place since back in the Pleistocene and have been largely unaffected by either invasions or migrations. As others have noted, Egyptians are Egyptians, and they were so in the past as well" (Brace et al., 1993) Brace, C. L., Tracer, D. P., Yaroch, L. A., Robb, J., Brandt, K., & Nelson, A. R. (1993). Clines and clusters versus “Race:” a test in ancient Egypt and the case of a death on the Nile. American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 36(S17), 1-31. doi:10.1002/ajpa.1330360603
