It is usually easy to spot dogwhistles or overt terfism for people flagged by Shinigami's eye yeah (being trans on the internet does make you learn them quite fast). I do make a point of checking because it is just user submitted but it's more that I've found multiple very recently that appear to be false flags which is more odd. Doesn't surprise me though that this is happening, it seems somewhat inevitable with a report based system.

Have terfs figured out how to weaponize Shinigami's eye? I've seen a number of users very recently flagged as unsafe, yet when I check their blog and search up trans or radfem they don't have anything particularly terfy.

To be fair I don't tend to investigate blogs too deeply if they have been flagged by Shinigami's eye, but normally it's as easy as searching up a few standard buzzwords on their blog and you'll see a huge amount of terf posts. This isn't the case though for these people and all the posts about trans people are positive. Very strange.

you can always tell how little people actually care about art based on how much they hate modern/contemporary art

#people do this all the time with classical music #even for stuff in the last 100 years that's generally fairly modern #part of it is just people don't know the genre very well #but even very modern stuff people cannot tell the difference with if it's 'tonal' enough #I'm not a fan of the current trend in contemporary classical music with the aggressively notated soundscape stuff #but that's mostly a preference thing and there is a lot of really good contemporary stuff both in that style and out
