It's nice when people are like "you don't need makeup to be pretty!" etc etc but also like. have you considered that I don't want to be pretty? I don't want to look attractive to anyone. I don't want people to think I'm pretty. Especially not men. Why do I need to be pretty? Why is the fact that I'm still pretty supposed to be comforting? I understand the meaning behind those posts and I appreciate the sentiment but ultimately I think we need to seriously de-couple the concepts of prettiness and value. I want to look ugly and unattractive and I want to still be treated with respect and live a fulfilling life.

Oh my GOD

I fucking figured it out. My entire life I've had a horrible time trying to wake up on time in the morning. I've always slept through alarms or snoozed them too many times or whatever. When I was in highschool I chalked it up to not getting enough sleep, but then I became an adult and did start getting enough sleep most of the time and I still had the same issues. I have been late to work almost every single day because of this and it's been a huge source of stress throughout my life.

And it think I just solved it.

It's because our little unconsciously fronts when we sleep, and I have to wake her up too. It's been four days in a row of waking up on time this is literally life-changing. And it's just cause my kid is a sleepyhead who needs someone to wake her up.

Like the first bit was all about mining rocks and gems and like neat stuff like that there was a cool bit with a microscope and a bunch of different slides of different types of rock

BUT THEN THE SECOND HALF WAS ALL METEORITES!!! I learned so much about meteorites. Apparently with most meteorites the rocks change as they get heated up in space and coming into the atmosphere and stuff but there was one there, from I think outside the solar system that was almost ten percent water (there was a guy who worked there just infodumping about meteorites it was great) but also there are some meteorites made largely of iron that half a really cool like cross hatching pattern in them that can't naturally form on earth because of the way that the meteors cool in space after forming. It looks so cool anyway there were also meteorites from Mars and also the moon which were really really cool too.
