my parents out doing christmas things, my sister on a date and what was i doing??? trying to track down the owners of a lost dog while gradually involving more and more of my neighbours in a frankly ridiculous game of telephone to try and find its owners. all of which was of course conveniently wrapped up just before everyone came home and asked me what i got up to while they were all out.

could literally be the c plot to a sitcom christmas episode where i learn the true meaning of christmas and gain some new friends along the way.

never have i felt more like a wacky side character in a sitcom than today
