The 2nd house tells you the longevity of your first marriage ⏰💖💍

That’s because the 2nd house is 8 houses away from the 7th house. In Vedic astrology the 8th house not only rules death and rebirth but also longevity.

Here’s an example from my sidereal natal chart:

I have the Moon in the 2nd house. This predicted that my first marriage would be very short because the Moon is the fastest moving planet. It only stays in a sign for 2-3 days. My first marriage lasted a whopping 10 months before I left him.

Side note: We shouldn’t have gotten married BUT I want to point out that we had been together for 12 years before getting married.

7th house lord is Saturn, the slowest moving planet that rules commitment = reason why we were together for 12 years

The fastest moving planet, the Moon, in the 2nd house = reason why the marriage only lasted 10 months

The 12th house is 6 houses away from the 7th house. In Vedic astrology the 6th house rules divorce because it is exactly 12 houses away from the 7th house (and the 12th house rules endings). My 12th house lord is the Moon, which is in the 2nd house = first marriage ending in divorce.

To find out about your second marriage, you count 8 houses away from the 2nd house = 9th house.

On Astro Seek change the “1st House from:” to the sign that rules your 3rd house. This will move your 9th house to the 7th house. You will then read this “new chart” to find out the characteristics of your second marriage, including the longevity of the marriage.

This method works not only for marriages but also serious romantic relationships! If you find malefic planets in the “new” 2nd house that suggest the second marriage/relationship ending, you can then count 8 houses away from the “new” 2nd house, which will again lead to the 9th house. In this “new” chart the 9th house is actually the 11th house in your natal chart.

7th house = 1st marriage 9th house = 2nd marriage 11th house = 3rd marriage

2nd house = longevity of 1st marriage

4th house = longevity of 2nd marriage

6th house = longevity of 3rd marriage

If you have malefic planets in any of the above houses like:

Mars

Rahu/North Node

Ketu/South Node

Uranus

The 12th lord

The 6th lord

These would suggest that the first marriage/serious relationship will likely end in divorce/breakup. If Pluto is present, this would suggest the marriage ending in the death of either you or your spouse = “till death do us part” vibes. Notice I didn’t include Saturn, which is considered a “malefic” planet. But when it comes to relationships and marriage, Saturn represents commitment.

If you end up having the Moon in your 2nd house, don’t worry unless it’s the 12th or 6th house lord.

‼️🚨‼️If you have the same ascendant in both your tropical and sidereal natal charts AND Saturn is in the same sign in both charts…

Then your Saturn Return will last approx. 6 years 🪐

The reason why is because Tropical astrology operates one zodiac sign ahead of Vedic astrology.

For example:

Let’s say you have a Leo ascendant in both your tropical natal chart and sidereal natal chart AND you have Saturn in Aquarius in both charts.

In Tropical astrology Saturn was in Aquarius recently from March 2020 until March 2023.

However, in Vedic astrology Saturn was in Capricorn during that time. It wasn’t until January 2023 that Saturn entered Aquarius in Vedic astrology and won’t leave Aquarius until March 2025.

This means that transiting Saturn is activating 2 different houses in your tropical and sidereal natal charts at all times.

So after you experience your Saturn Return in your tropical natal chart, it’s going to be prolonged for another 2-3 years because transiting Saturn in Vedic astrology will then enter that same sign in your sidereal natal chart.

If you have a different ascendant in both your tropical and sidereal natal charts and Saturn is in a different sign in each chart, then you’ll experience your Saturn Return in your tropical and sidereal natal charts at the same time.

For example:

I have a Virgo ascendant in my tropical natal chart and a Leo ascendant in my sidereal natal chart.

Saturn is in Scorpio in the 3rd house in my tropical natal chart.

Saturn is in Libra in the 3rd house in my sidereal natal chart.

I had my Saturn Return during the same time in both charts.

In Tropical astrology Saturn was in Scorpio from October 2012 until September 2015.

In Vedic astrology Saturn was in Libra from November 2011 until November 2014.

There was a bit of overlap but my Saturn Return was happening at the same time in the same house in both charts, just different signs.

You can use Vimshottari Dashas to narrow down the time period of when you might meet your future spouse!

We meet many soulmates throughout our lives; they can be romantic partners, platonic friends and even family members.

In Vedic astrology Vimshottari Dashas are a predictive technique used to narrow down the timing of events. They consists of planetary periods in a person’s life that are ruled by one planet for several years; this is considered the main period and it’s called Mahadasha. Within that main period there are 9 sub-periods featuring the 7 traditional planets including Rahu (the North Node) and Ketu (the South Node). Sub-periods are called Antardasha.

Depending on what planetary main period and sub-period you’re in will determine which houses in your natal chart are being activated and therefore can tell you what kind of events you may experience.

For example, the Mahadasha (main period) and/or the Antardasha (sub-period) of your 7th house lord or planets in the 7th house can tell you when you might get married.

Vimshottari Dashas online calculators offer ascendant based dashas and moon based dashas. The difference between the two are:

• Ascendant based dashas reflect physical/external changes

• Moon based dashas reflect emotional/internal changes

Most Vedic astrologers will primarily use moon based dashas, but I have seen for myself that both are accurate.

It’s important to not only check your Ascendant based dasha and your Moon based dasha for when the lord of your 7th house’s dasha will be running BUT ALSO the lord of your 7th house in your D9 Navamsa chart.

Hello! I wanted to know if I could ask a quick question about the solar return charts?

I did everything you said too in the part one. And after putting in the new time in the persona chart, my asteroid 1585 was in 8th house Virgo.

And I do have my partners chart, but the only sign he has in Virgo, is his Virgo Jupiter. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Hello, love! Are you referring to creating a asteroid Union persona chart from your solar return chart based on my post? And when you said you have your partner’s chart, did you mean his natal chart?

If that is correct, then having asteroid Union in the 8th house of Virgo in your Union persona chart that is based on your solar return is a good thing, especially if your partner’s natal Jupiter is in Virgo. Jupiter can represent the husband/spouse/serious romantic partner. I’d have to look at any aspects Union might be making with other planets/asteroids/placements but based on this info alone suggests to me that:

Your relationship will likely go through a transformation that brings you two closer together.

If you aren’t living together currently, you might end up moving in together at some point during your solar return year.

You both may also decide to merge your finances together into a joint account.

OR he may begin taking care of you financially.

OR he gets a better job/promotion and you end up benefitting from his increase in wealth.

Your sex life will also likely benefit and become more passionate.

In Western astrology Pluto just entered Aquarius but in Vedic astrology Pluto already changed signs by entering Capricorn on February 24, 2020.

Go to Astro Seek to pull your sidereal natal chart and leave the house system on Whole Signs. Check which house is ruled by Capricorn to find out what area of life Pluto has already been transforming for you since February 2020!

The only problem was that I had to keep the relationship a secret from my parents because he was older than me. We were together and his parents knew about us but mine were in the dark.
