Nagisa’s eyes were ice.

It was a weird light. The brightness from the fire contrasted with the intense blue of his eyes. He wasn’t moving, his body unwilling to reveal his thoughts - a talent that Kaede often wished she had…she couldn’t see Nagisa’s intent.

She couldn’t detect anything, now - not really. Everything was hazy and uneven. Kaede was vaguely aware of her classmates, watching her with dread from outside the ring of fire. She could hear their whispers and pleas for her to slow down and stop, but they whistled through her brain without consideration. The only thing she could really be confidently aware of was her body. She could feel the base of her eyes with a sharp, piercing intensity. Her entire body felt warm, pulsing, save for the base of her neck, which sent chills along her spine. She could feel her heartbeat in her throat. Her fingers were individual, menacing, ladylike and malicious. She felt her own tentacles, each with vivid clarity, stuck in her former teacher’s chest. She could feel his heart, there - it was still beating, striving to survive.

She could feel Koro-Sensei’s tentacles around her waist. Kaede wanted to screech - get off of me, don’t touch me, MURDERER -

But she couldn’t speak. Nagisa, standing across from her, had a look of sheer determination on his face, revealing nothing else. Kaede’s vision was changing color - the edges of her vision were growing black and fuzzy. She could see the orange brightness of the flames, the color consuming her vision, everything blurred.

Nagisa was about to do something. She knew that much. But what she didn’t expect was the speed, the sudden lightning-fast grace in his movement as he lunged at her and suddenly grabbed at the back of her neck, pulling her close, and then -

Oh.

It was all so fast that she could barely register it. But suddenly Nagisa’s lips were on hers.

1 HIT.

What is happening?

2 HITS.

He didn’t move for a moment. But then suddenly he did. She felt his lips relax, and as a result, hers did too. Kaede didn’t know what her body was doing -

3 HITS.

-and then suddenly his mouth was moving, separating for only a fraction of a second before closing the smallest gap between their lips. It suddenly hit her - he’s kissing me -

4 HITS.

Why?

5 HITS.

The question was immediately pushed aside as she felt his tongue on her lower lip. Without realizing what she was doing, her mouth opened, and Nagisa’s tongue slipped past her lips.

6 HITS.

There was a sudden pressure on the back of her neck as she was pushed deeper into the kiss. She felt Nagisa’s tongue inside her mouth moving across her own tongue, as his lips closed around hers. Unable to handle the sensations, she closed her eyes.

Mistake.

7 HITS.

As she closed her eyes, her senses became more attuned to the feel of his lips, and she suddenly found herself wanting more of this. She felt a blush rise to her cheeks as she moved her tongue, just a little, to reciprocate. Just a little. She opened her eyes again.

Another mistake.

8 HITS.

Those blue eyes. Boring into her with an intensity she had never experienced. They were the eyes of someone who was focused on a target, like an animal hunting its prey. Kaede felt a sudden jolt of submission cut through her body, and she opened her mouth wider in shock, letting a small while fall from her lips. Nagisa -

9 HITS.

A memory flashed though her brain.

It had been Nagisa: “Kayano…was it really all an act?”

Kaede’s fingers, which at some point had latched on to Nagisa’s shirt, twitched.

Hadn’t it been an act?

Wasn’t that the point of it all?

10 HITS.

She couldn’t feel Koro-Sensei’s tentacles anymore. She could no longer feel the heat from the ring of fire she had created. The presence of her classmates were all gone. It was just Nagisa - his lips, his tongue, his breathing, his eyes…

11 HITS.

Eyes that stared her down. Eyes that were unforgiving in their intent. Eyes that trusted her. Blue, strong eyes. Eyes that told her, demanded her, BEGGED her -

12 HITS.

Don’t tell me it was all an act, Kayano.

13 HITS.

All those memories we shared, I won’t let you tell me those were fake.

His fingers ran through her hair. She stared back at him, emotions whirling furiously in her chest.

Please, Kayano -

14 HITS.

Kaede felt her vision slipping. Exhaustion suddenly hit her like a monsoon, and she felt her legs shake. Another memory slipped through her fevered brain, although she couldn’t remember who had said it.

“Your sister was a good person, Kayano.”

“Do you really think Koro-Sensei would want to kill someone like that?”

Kaede closed her eyes, gently. She felt weak.

No, I…I don’t.

15 HITS.

Before she lost consciousness, she heard commotion from above her. Nagisa’s lips parted from hers, and he gently held her as she sank to the ground. She heard the worry in his voice: “Is this enough, Koro-Sensei?”

She couldn’t hear her teacher’s reply, but she felt her tentacles slide out of the flesh on her neck.

She wished she could apologize. But the world became dark, and suddenly she couldn’t feel anything anymore.

Nagisa Shiota; His mother has intense mood swings and lives through her son, and forces him to look like a girl.

Karma Akabane; A teacher he trusted betrayed him and cast him down to E class.

Akari Yukimura; Her sister was ‘murdered’ in front if her, so she is putting up with intense pain and acting her way through life to get revenge.

Yuuma Isogai; His father died, his families poor.

Megu Kataoka; People take advantage of her kindness so she ended up falling into E class.

Ryounosuke Chiba; struggles to communicate his feelings so if often misunderstood.

Rinka Hayami; Struggles to communicate feelings so often misunderstood.

Ryuoma Terasaka; Resentful he isn’t smart and doesn’t have direction.

Kotaru Takebayashi; Strict parents who overlook him for being the ‘failure’ of the family.

Yuuji Norito; His dad’s some kind of pervy celebrity. Smokes pot.

Irina Jelevic; Her parents were killed infront of her, she killed the soldiers who killed them, hid with the bodies, and ended up being raised as a assassin.

Korosensei; Came from a place of complete devastation, ended up becoming a master assassin who only trusts in death, his only apprentice betrays him. He became a hunan test-subject and was put under painful experiments, the woman he loved was killed right in front of him.

God of death 2; His master treated him as a tool and never acknowledged him.

Gakuhou Asano; His first pupil committed suicide and he feels his own teaching methods were to blame.

Gakushuu Asano; His father is a monster who doesn’t treat him like a son expects him to be perfect, strong and best at everything.

Ritsu; WAS BUILT WITHOUT A SOUL.

Itona; His father’s business went bust. His father left him at his uncle’s place, Itona ended up on the streets, and accepted being experimented on by some creepy dude just to be strong.

Sakura; Is bullied by the other kids.

Manami Okuda; Finds it hard to communicate with others.

Kirara Hazama; Her mother is neurotic and yells when things go wrong
