Narra nodded in agreement with the Khajiit, and a small half smile escaped her lips along with a little bit of a chuckle at the feline’s statement. Well yeah, of course places in these lands were treacherous, she knew that first hand, and on top of that, she was something that was pretty much everyone despised, which made this place extra treacherous.
Narra’s pink slit eyes trailed the area as she went quiet, thinking and mainly wondering if the Dawnguard were anywhere near them, the thought of them made her uneasy.
Her thoughts were broken however when the Khajiit accepted her invitation to join her company. This news made her scaly lips form a smile and she placed her hands on either side of her hips.
She gave the feline lady a little raspy chuckle and answered the Khajiit’s question, “Well, I’m going to a little village just up the road, preferably one with an inn so I have some place to sleep,” she lifted her arm and covered her eyes from the burning sun as she squinted and looked around for a few minutes before finally moving her pink slit eyes back to the feline, “And someplace out of the sun, maybe? It’s making my blood boil...,” she decided to tell a little joke that the feline hopefully wouldn’t get, keyword, hopefully.
A bit of silence drifted between them until the Argonian began speaking again while taking off the blue horse skull from her belt and gently placing it to the ground, she said something while keeping her eyes on the skull, “Stand back,” then gently placed her hand onto the horse skull’s forehead and closed her eyes. She was going to summon Arvak, her loyal and sweet spectral horse.
She’s not a Khajiit. She’s a cat.
@muppeteyes1001
Narra breathed in the sweet smells of the vegetation around her and a soft smile formed on her scaly lips.
The flowers were in bloom, in the middle of winter, even though she didn’t really feel the cold through her Falmer Hardened Armor. But she was starting to feel a little chilly, and she knew it was only going to get colder tonight. She needed to make a fire and soon, she was also getting hungry. She needed wood for the fire and a deer or elk. Something like that, and maybe some other things to make a soup. She was craving a soup tonight.
Her eyes wandered around her. On her belt around her waist was a flute, a horse’s skull (that looked otherworldly) and a coin purse and a pouch with lock picks in it. Strapped to her back was her Ebony Battleaxe, Auriel’s bow and a quiver of arrows.
She placed her hand on the horse’s skull and a small smile crossed her scaly lips. Arvak, the horse skull on her belt, her baby. She loved that horse with all her heart and she always kept him with her.
She was about to grab her Ebony Battleaxe when she caught sight of something standing a few yards away. It looked to be a Khajiit, a cat-like woman just standing off in the distance, her back to Narra.
Narra’s pink slit eyes narrowed a bit as she grasped her battleaxe’s handle as her raspy voice broke out to the feline, “Hello, are you just watching the creak or are you here on another errand?”

Narra let out a raspy laugh, “So they WERE after you, That explains everything. I was wondering why there was no warrant for my arrest.”
Narra watched softly as the young man put away his dagger and she strapped her flute to her belt beside the blue horse skull on her waist. Her hands dropped into her lap as she listened to his next question and statement.
With a small tilt of her head and a soft chuckle she gave him a toothy smile as she answered it, she decided to answer his question first before answering his statement, “Well, the Dawnguard will or the guards themselves and even the villagers all despise anyone with the ‘disease’ called vampirism,” she gave air quotes at the word disease, “If they notice even one little symptom, like sharp teeth, pale skin or even the glowing eyes, or if they witness you drinking blood, no matter if you hate fighting or being a Vampire you will still get called on by anyone you come across. So yes, someone must have called the Dawnguard on you.”
She answered his first statement now, “And almost always they will try to kill you, there are very few Dawnguard soldiers who will actually only arrest you. The Dawnguard’s job is to get rid of any and every disease they come across, by using any means necessary, including killing the one that has the disease. So that means, Vampirism, Lycanthropy, and any other you can think of, they’ll get rid of it.”
She looked over at the dead Dawnguard soldiers then looked back at the young man, “It also doesn’t matter if you have you weapon out or not, if they know what you are, they won’t stop until you’re dead or they’re dead,” her pink eyes moved back to one of the soldiers, and she spoke again, “So it’s always best that you mentally and physically prepare yourself for a fight whenever the Dawnguard are around, and use every power you have, they already know what you are, if you don’t want to die, you use everything you have, no matter how much you might hate it, you need to keep yourself alive.”
asknarraes:
She had just finished playing her flute when the young man walked up. Her eyes opened and she looked up at him. Narra couldn’t help but eye the dagger in the young man’s hand and a look of concern showed on her face before her pink eyes went to this young man’s eyes.
When he commented on using his dagger to get one of them, Narra turned her head to the dead man on the ground. Sure enough, there was a nasty gash in that dead Dawnguard’s leg, and Narra winced. Her eyes turned back to the young man and a raspy chuckle escaped her scaly lips.
Narra’s raspy voice then cut through, “That is one nasty gash you gave that Dawnguard soldier,” she smiled, “So that also explains why there is no note for my arrest,” she softly put her hands in her lap while holding the flute, “I’m guessing they were after you instead?”
She didn’t even have to use her Detect Dead power, just by this young man’s smell alone, she knew this person must have been a vampire. That, and his noticeable pale skin and hint of fangs she saw when he spoke, when her’s were hanging out of her mouth for all to see, with her muscle-mass extraordinary even in her spiked falmer hardened armor, and with her glowing pink slit eyes and deathly pale skin. Her skin, well scales, used to be a dark orchid color before she became a vampire, and now she was a pale sandy color with hints of purple throughout. Her long horns were hard to keep inside her black hood but thankfully it stayed up.
She let the silence build for a few minutes as she looked him over then spoke again in her raspy argonian accent, “I’m also guessing that you’re a vampire, correct? And just for future reference, if you don’t want a fight, don’t come at anyone with your weapon drawn, though I admire the coution. I am one of the few vampires out there that hates fighting but I will do it if needed.”
She looked away softly as she slipped her flute back onto her belt then moved her eyes back to the young vampire, or old, she really didn’t have a clue how old this vampire was, she just thought he was young by the way he looked, for all she knew, he could have been much older than she was.
She chuckled again then spoke, “Do you want to sit with me? Or are you alright by yourself?”
He glanced at his dagger, now considering that pulling it out every time he approached someone might have caused some problems in the past. But as long as he didn’t use it, that didn’t make any sense. And she didn’t attack him, after all, did she?
There was no immediate response from Mellon. He silently decided that he was alright by himself, but there was no harm in sitting with her if she wanted. He sat across from her, watching with a curious expression for a moment before speaking. “They were after me.”
He finally parted with his dagger, concealing it somewhere in his clothes. “I wasn’t sure if they were trying to capture me or kill me, but either way it wasn’t going to happen. And I didn’t come at them with my dagger, they came at me.”
They were vampire hunters, which Mellon had known existed. He just didn’t know they had an… army. And notes for arrest…? Was that a thing? He scratched his arm as he worried whether there might be more looking for him. “If you hack ‘em all up like that, how do they know to look for you? Did someone call them on me, like guards?”
He said the word with as much contempt as a person could.

Narra didn’t notice anyone walking up until Arvak turned his toward the woman. Narra’s grip tightened protectively on the reins as her head snapped in the direction of where her undead horse was looking. She didn’t know who it was until her glowing pink slit eyes fell onto the woman walking up to them.
Of course, Arvak, being the kind and gentle horse that he was, wanted to see the unknown woman, to let her pet him, but Narra made him stay where he was. She wasn’t to sure if this woman would harm Arvak at all, even if he was undead, she worried about him more than she worried for herself.
When the woman spoke, Narra’s eyebrow ridge raised a bit as she looked over her in silence. Wasn’t she cold? That was the first thing Narra noticed, the woman’s thin dress. Very thin. If Narra was wearing something as thin as that, she’d freeze to death in an instant in this harsh cold land of Skyrim. Her armor was the right amount of airy and warm, while also making her look like a force to be reckoned with.
After a good few minutes of silence, Narra spoke in her raspy Argonian accent, “We piqued your interest? How so?”
Narra straightened her posture in the saddle as she loosened the protective grip on Arvak’s reins. Lifting one hand, she scratched an itch she was getting on her neck as she waited for the woman to respond to her question. She so badly wanted to ask if this woman was cold, but didn’t want to seem rude.
Ride the Horizon
@yavannafruitgiver
Narra rode across the vast cold land that was Skyrim atop her spectral horse Arvak. The sun was bouncing off of the snow and giving her the worst headache in the world. Her glowing pink slit eyes darting this way and that and her arms pulling the reins along Arvak’s skeletal snout to move him away from trees or rocks that would pass by them.
Being the Vampire Lord in the raging sun in the middle of the day was a very bad idea for her, she might have felt weak at times, but she wasn’t powerless by no means.
She pulled tightly on Arvak’s reins to get him to stop, wincing a bit because she thought she’d hurt him by doing so, and Arvak skidded to a stop and snuffed while stamping his skeletal hoof on the dirt a few times.
Narra began looking around her and licked her dry scaly lips with her pointed tongue. She watched the wind blow through the tree’s leaves and the water running through a little canal beside her. She would have let Arvak drink the water and rest, but he was dead. He no longer needed water or rest and he didn’t even feel pain anymore, Narra still worried about Arvak though. He was her most prized possession, he was very important to her and she had always kept his skull on her to summon him.
She gently reached to the side of Arvak’s face and gently began petting him, a gesture to apologize for the rude halt she had made him do. She was letting him rest, even though he didn’t need it, and she couldn’t help the feeling that was being watched. Her tail flicked softly as she watched the horizon.

Narra let out a sigh of relief when the Khajiit said she was a friend. Thank the gods she wasn’t going to have to fight yet another person. This was a nice feeling to have that never came much for her. Friend, good.
At the Khajiit’s question, Narra nodded softly as she gently placed her hand on the blueish horse skull strapped to her belt, and began petting it to calm herself down, she spoke again in her raspy voice, “Yes actually, and I am also a friend, I don’t really enjoy fighting or hurting someone but I will if necessary,” Narra then dropped her hand to her side, “Please forgive me for how I acted.”
Narra then moved her lizardlike head around her then looked back at the feline, “And yes to your other question, but in all reality, I really don’t want to travel alone,” a small smile formed on her scaly lips, “Would you like to occupy me? I’d like a travel companion, and someone to talk to.”
Narra winced a little, she also wanted to get out of the sun, but kept that part to herself, if the Khajiit found out she was a vampire, she hoped to the Nine that she wouldn’t call for the Dawnguard soldiers. They were vampire hunters, and quite the nuisance to her. And if she called them, Narra would have to kill the feline lady, no matter how much she hated it.
The large fangs sticking out of her mouth, her pale skin, well scaly body, and her pink glowing slit eyes would have been a dead giveaway that she was in fact a vampire.
She shook that thought from her head. She was just going to see how everything played out. She began petting the horse skull on her belt again to calm her thoughts. Petting Arvak always soothed her nerves, along with playing her flute that was beside the skull, on the other side of her belt was a large red potion strapped to her belt.
That was a Blood Potion. She always kept at least a few of them on her. She hated going into other people’s houses just to drink their blood, so she got into the habit of carrying them around with her. And now, she had the sudden urge to drink. She fought against that thought though, as much as she could.
She’s not a Khajiit. She’s a cat.

Narra’s eyes widened more when she heard him tell her to show herself, she winced and cursed to herself but watched in awe as she watched him turn around.
She saw the glowing eyes, the large horns, everything down to the last detail. She had no question as to what he was, the smoke coming from his nostrils confirmed that, this, standing in front of her, was a dragon. He could talk too, well that was silly, all dragons talked, but he was different from any other dragon she’d ever seen in this land.
She didn’t realize she had her hand on the handle of her battleaxe until she watched him unsheath his massive claymore. That made her eyes widen, a dragon with a weapon like that? That lived by the...knight’s code? Did she hear that right? Why would a dragon even need a weapon like that if it’s most powerful weapon was it’s Thu’um, a shout, a dragon’s words in it’s own tongue that shattered throughout the world, that could make buildings crumble with a whisper, and could completely tear a person apart. Their voices were powerful weapons.
Dragons literally fought by and with their words, their flames came from their Thu’um’s power, if a dragon fought with another dragon, their argument would cause the world to shake and trees to splinter, rocks to shatter, and the ground to crack open. So why by the Nine did this dragon need a claymore? And why a claymore of all weapons. It fit him well, true, but those were very rare around here, well as rare as she’s seen. For all she knew, there could have been many claymore’s out there and she would have just seen one.
Her eyes then moved to his red glowing ones, and as she kept her hand onto the handle of her battleaxe she spoke in her raspy Argonian accented voice, “Do you actually want to fight me?”
asknarraes:
After a few minutes, Narra had started feeling the small tremors and she stopped playing her flute. Arvak lifted his head and started looking around and Narra began doing the same. Strange.
Narra stood up and made her way to her undead horse and Arvak lifted his head to her, she placed a hand on his head and after a flash of purpleish blue light, Arvak’s skull dropped to the earth and Narra immediately bent over to pick it up. She held the skull under her arm as she slipped the flute back on her belt then tied the skull beside it.
With Arvak’s skull and her flute securely on her belt, and the fire at an ok height to leave alone, she began walking toward the source of the tremors. It was a very bad idea true, she knew it, but she had never felt anything like this before.
Walking away from the light and heat of the fire and out into the cold, she made her way through the trees. For some reason now, it was deathly quiet, no birds sang, no animals communicated to each other at all tonight, it was almost like they were scared of whatever was around. That concerned her. This definitely had never happened before, well, as far as she knew.
She stopped close to a clearing, and looked around, she thought about using her Vampire Sight power to see in the dark, but she quickly dismissed that idea. The light of the moon was enough to let her see in the dark.
What she did see was a towering figure in the moonlight and her hand immediately shot up to grasp her Ebony Battleaxe on her back and held the handle tightly. She didn’t know what it was, it was facing away from her, but she did catch sight of what she thought was a tail, with what looked a glowing red gem or jewel on the tip. It was hard to tell if it was glowing or not because the figure was a bit farther away from her and the moonlight was bouncing off of it.
She tried to move a bit more to see what the figure was, to see if it was an actual threat when something under her boot mad a loud crunch sound. Narra’s eyes widened and she stood as still as she could holding her breath. And for the first time in what seemed like forever, she felt fear for some unknown creature she was staring at right now.
[.:♢:.]As soon as  the fallen royal began trudging violently towards the elk, it bolted, but before he could give chase he paused at the sounds of something being crushed. Something being stepped on it sounded like.
Someone was here, watching him, stalking him.

Narra blinked at her first question, “Isn’t that what you are? You’re a bit smaller than a nord and an imperial. Breton are the smallest race here in Skyrim. Your facial feartures also match that of a Breton.”
Narra then chuckled at her second question and rose a scaly eyebrow ridge, “I think you should be asking why I am a lizard altogether. Well, my race is called an Argonian. We are a lizard folk that hail from Black Marsh, a very poisonous and acidic land that we are immune to. The air and water there would make even a nord’s powerful lungs collapse in about two seconds, well, that is at least the stories I’ve heard about my homeland, I wasn’t there long, I was there when I was very young so I don’t remember if any of that is actually true or not.”
She stopped for a minute and looked at one of the dead Dawnguard soldiers on the ground then moved her head back to Karma, “As you just heard, my name is Narra. Please to meet you,” Narra stuck her armored hand out to Karma for a handshake if this breton accepted it.
She stood there for a good few minutes with her hand out to the other, until she heard another rustle in the bushes. Her head turned around to look and she placed her hand onto the blue looking horse skull on her belt and gently pet it. It might have looked weird to someone else that she was petting a horse skull, but she didn’t care, that skull was Arvak, her most prized possession. She kept him with her always and whenever she was scared, unsure, or angry, she’d either pet Arvak or play her flute to calm herself down.
The rustling of the leaves seemed to go on for a good few minutes then stopped. Narra then looked back at the Breton and rose an eyebrow ridge at her as she gave the other vampire a toothy grin, “Do you think it’s more of our Dawnguard friends coming for more fun? Or maybe an animal?”
She chuckled and placed her other hand on a large potion strapped to the other side of her belt, Thank the Nine that her urges to drink blood weren’t stirring up around the Breton, well she did drink the Dawnguard soldier’s blood, she winced at the shriveled up body on the ground and gently poked it with her boot. So gross, but kinda funny to see.
asknarraes:
karmarightbehindyou:
Narra kept her eyes on the men circling around her, she didn’t even notice the Brenton going into the brush to hide.
As the men circled around her more, she saw one of them pull the trigger on their crossbow and Narra reacted by moving out of it’s way as the arrow shot passed her. Another man then bolted at her with his small axe out, and Narra swung her battleaxe at his head with a scream.
The blade sliced cleanly through the man’s neck and cut his head completely off, the head dropped to the ground and his body soon followed with a thud.
Another man came at her right and she whipped around, swinging her battleaxe with her, her muscles bulging as the blade made it’s way into his side. When the blade met the man’s body, he screamed out as the other shot his crossbow at her again. This time, since she was preoccupied with the other man, the arrow went right through her armor and into her shoulder. She did yelp, but then brought her axe down on the man’s head standing in front of her then turned to the other that shot her.
With her eyes burning brightly with anger, she dropped her battleaxe then her body exploded into a brand new form in the sunlight. Her skin was grey now, and wing-like appendages exploded from her back, her nails grew long and she began hovering a little bit off the ground as the man backed up in fear, shaking and holding his crossbow tightly in his hands.
Both of her hands glowed brightly in two different colors red and blue and bats swarmed around her new body as she glared down at the lonely man. She was pissed, and the arrow was still in her shoulder in this new form of hers.
The Dawnguard soldier then dropped his crossbow as he took a good few shaky steps back as she went closer to him, he then fiddled with his armor and shakingly pulled out a note and spoke out, trembling as he read it to Narra, “Narra Argonthiania…Um…Uh, Y-You are h-h-here by u-under arrest f-for the c-crime of…” he gulped when she was floating right in front of him now, glaring into his soul.
He was about to speak again, but Narra beat him to it and retorted what he was about to say while giving him a wide toothy smile, “…For the crime of Vampirism. Well, how about you recite that arrest from inside my stomach?!”
The Dawnguard’s eyes widened and before he knew it, she grabbed him by his arms and sunk her teeth into his neck and began sucking him dry. It happened quickly, the scream and flailing wasn’t long at all and after a few good minutes, Narra was finished and she threw the now shriveled body onto the ground and changed back into her normal Argonian self as she licked her lips and wiped the blood away from her mouth.
Her eyes then started darting around her, looking for the Brenton as she picked her battleaxe back up and held it, her voice cut through the silence, “Hey! Where did you run off to? Brenton?”
Karma watched, hidden in the brush and shadows from any of the men who had attacked this other “vampire”. The lizard was pretty good in a fight. Though she did get hit by a bolt. If Karma were scoring it like a judge she’d have to take points off for that. Honestly she was just glad that the bolts that had missed the lizard hadn’t come her way. It would have been pretty silly getting stuck by something while hiding.  What gave Karma pause was the form that the lizard took near the end of the fight. That wasn’t her type of vampirism. Clearly they had no issue with the sunlight either; while Karma had to hide from it. That type of vampirism wasn’t one she’d seen in her world. She remained in her spot when the fight ended and the lizard transformed back, retrieved her weapon and looked around for her. With a moment of thought Karma peeked out of her hiding spot. “Why does everyone keep saying that?” Karma stepped out of the brush completely but kept her distance. “Breton?”  “…and why do you have a lizard face…”

The Dawnguard soldier then dropped his crossbow as he took a good few shaky steps back as she went closer to him, he then fiddled with his armor and shakingly pulled out a note and spoke out, trembling as he read it to Narra, “Narra Argonthiania...Um...Uh, Y-You are h-h-here by u-under arrest f-for the c-crime of...” he gulped when she was floating right in front of him now, glaring into his soul.
He was about to speak again, but Narra beat him to it and retorted what he was about to say while giving him a wide toothy smile, “...For the crime of Vampirism.
Brenton?”
asknarraes:
Narra was about to retort her view on that growl the Brenton made until she heard familiar voices.
Her head snapped into the direction of the voices and immediately she twirled her battleaxe in one hand then let it rest in her hand as she watched the familiar Dawnguard soldiers surround them.
When the soldiers caught sight of Narra, their crossbows pointed at her and one of them bellowed, “Narra Argonthiania! You are hereby under arrest for the highest crime of vampirism known in Skyrim, the crime of Vampire Lord! Surrender yourself now or we have no choice but to bring you in,” they all took a step closer and Narra glared at them, still holding her battleaxe tightly in her hands, “Come quietly or we will use force.”
Narra stayed silent for a moment then let the battleaxe hang in one hand as she straightened up and lifted her head so they could see her glowing pink eyes.
A smile formed on her scaly lips and she suddenly let out a raspy chuckle and she started twirling her battleaxe in her hand effortlessly. Her muscles bulged as she swung the axe around and around.
She stopped laughing at the Dawnguard soldiers then spoke in her raspy Argonian accented voice, putting a harsh taunt behind it, “Bite me!”
Then she grasped her battleaxe tightly with her other hand and got it ready to swing as they got closer.
Karma’s head ducked down and she crouched when voices called out nearby. Hiding and watching rather than simply attacking was a better plan. She was a monster but not a mindless one! This vampire was going to sit and wait to see what exactly these strangers were going to do… Her eyes peeked up over foliage when the guardsmen stated the stranger was a vampire. It seemed peculiar to her since…there was definitely still a heartbeat coming from the lizard. Couldn’t be…at least shouldn’t be. Karma didn’t move an inch, or lift a single finger to help this over “vampire”. She had no connections to so called Kin. Hell she was probably considered an enemy to most of them. Kin-Killer so some might have called her back home. A nickname that never got it’s chance to spread very far.
So the faintly glowing, bloody red eyes stared out of the brush to see what would happen and expected a show.

Narra stared at the feline for a few minutes longer then finally spoke again, “Yes. I am a traveler,” she lowered her arm from her battleaxe handle and let her hand rest at her side as she looked over the Khajiit. She wore strange garb and spoke differently from the other Khajiit. They usually referred to themselves in the third person when they spoke this person, talked in the first person, but yet, not all Khajiit talked in third person either, so Narra had no clue what she was thinking.
She took a few steps closer to the lady and rose an eyebrow ridge as she looked the feline over a few times. Narra’s nostrils flared and then she put her hands onto her hips and her pink slit eyes met the feline’s winter green ones.
Narra’s head tilted to one side as her raspy Argonian accented voice broke the silence, “Are you a friend or foe?”
She might as well get that question over and done with now. She didn’t want blood on her hands, but was prepared to get dirty if need be. Her lizard-like tail sometimes matching the flicks that the feline’s tail would make.
Narra mentally prepared to fight the lady. No matter how much she hated fighting others, she’d do it if necessary.
She’s not a Khajiit. She’s a cat.

Vampire and…Vampire? What?!
@karmarightbehindyou
Narra had just casted her Detect Dead spell around her. Even though it didn’t work very well outside of temples or caves, it did detect a dead presence near her. The presence was very close to her and she was making sure it wasn’t one of those pesky draugr. If it was, why was it out in the open, alone and away from its resting place?
Narra thought that was really strange. Draugr don’t stray from their resting places at all, they were kind of stuck close to it by some unknown force. So the draugr idea was thrown out the window. She had a thought, maybe a vampire? Or something else that was dead that she had not met yet. She only knew of vampires as the third dead thing aside from draugr and skeletons, but skeletons stayed close to their resting places too, and didn’t show as undead when she’d use her Detect Dead power.
Her pink slit eyes darted across the plain, through the thick trees, her Ebony Battleaxe held tightly in her hands, nostrils flaring. She could hear her heartbeat in her chest, she was surprised she even had a heartbeat. Weren’t vampire’s dead? Or was that just one of the perks of being a Vampire Lord?
Her tail flicked and she whirled the Ebony Battleaxe in one hand listening to it whosh through the cool night air, then let it land in her other hand and held it there again. When she walked a bit further in the dark, she caught sight of something, it was hard to see in the dark though. Was that, a person?
