Genso, 11:00 PM
Sora was in a foul mood. She and Mizu had a bad fight over something so minor. The girl kicked a snowball, making it puff into nothing. Everyone else was happy, why couldn't she be the same?
Tears started to well up in her eyes. She looked around to see if no one was around before slumping to the ground and wiping her tears from her eyes. Darn it... she was usually so strong.
Why was she crying?
“Are you okay?” Someone asked.
Sora turned around. It was Skye the wolf, standing there with a empathetic smile on her face. Sora’s face went red, and she puffed up her cheeks.
“I honestly don't know...” Sora muttered.
Skye promised that she would spend the night with the girl, and make her feel better. Despite her sadness, Sora grinned a little bit. With her friend, she didn't feel so bad.

“Awww, it’s not Christmas anymore?” Mizu whined.
“Mhmm. Sorry, dear...” Mami replied.
“It was fun while it lasted, yeah?” Sora grinned, taking a sip of her orange juice. “I got some wickedly awesome stuff.”
“Yeah?” Mizu gasped in wonder. “Like what?”
“Well...”
Christmas Morning. The best day of the year, according to Sora. She grinned happily as she clamored loudly through her house. She couldn't wait to open her presents under the tree, and then brag about it to her friends.
“Heck yeah!” She cried, as she saw the numerous wrapped gifts under the tree. “Thanks Santa, and Jingle! And whoever else helped!”
She tore into a randomly selected box and was delighted to get... cheese? ...CHEESE? Sora took a look at the box, and realized it was from Mami. But... why would Mami give her cheese? Sora grunted, and flung the cheese aside. She opened the next package and was more delighted by its contents. It was a new 3ds XL, from Chikyuu. (How could she afford that? ) It came with a card. The card read:
Dear Sora,
Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy this. I know you wanted one, so I looked everywhere for it, and what do you know? I found the new 3ds you wanted!
Enjoy!
Chikyuu
Sora grinned happily. “Thanks, kid. You’re dependable.”

Genso, 6:53 PM
Sora really didn't like Fang. She hated how vague and mysterious he could be. The only time he was open, it seemed, was with Skye. His “beautiful” girlfriend made him chatty. They often called each other pet names, like “schmoopy-pie” and it grossed her out. One night, Sora confessed these feelings to Mayor Chikyuu over a get-together.
“I don’t get them at all! Sora confessed to the mayor. “ I mean, ‘schmoopy-pie?’ REALLY?”
“Well... I suppose that’s one way to look at it, but I find Fang and Skye’s relationship cute!~” Chikyuu sang.
“When they’re not actin’ like nincompoops....” Sora muttered.
“I’m sure Mami supports them. It’s Genso’s newest thing, you know.”
“Oh sure. Great. NOW it’s a thing. That’s gonna be all these crazy people talk about for the next few weeks.”

Mami: Certainly. The mun said something stupid today, actually. She said, and I quote: “it’s Christmas yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!”
Chikyuu: Mun is a dork. The good kind, of course.
Mizu: “I’m? A? Dork???”

what aesthetics do you like, mami?
Mami: Hmmm, that’s an excellent question. I suppose I love things that are yellow… yellow flowers perhaps? Yes, that’s it. I love yellow flowers, so I suppose that’s my “aesthetic.”  But I also like the sea, as per mentioned before, so that’s another aesthetic to add.
Mami: Maybe I should make a list.

Genso, 3:30 PM
Sora and Mizu were hanging out at Mami Tomoe’s house. The three of them were having a chat, getting to know the other better. The mayor was too busy to come to the tea party, sadly.
“Thanks for throwin’ this together, Mami!” Sora grinned. “Appreciate ya.”
“Oh, you’re quite welcome.”
“Say, Mami...” Mizu started. “Do you like the ocean? I... er... think the ocean has a very calming aesthetic to it, you know? That’s why I like going down to the beach a lot.”
“Well... yes!” Mami smiled kindly. “Sometimes, when I’m feeling upset, I like to talk long walks on the beach. It helps clear my mind and distract me from whatever was making me upset.”
Sora yawned loudly, probably on purpose. “Yeah, yeah, the sea’s pretty. When are you gonna talk about something cool? Like skateboards? Or lasers? Or lasers on skatebaords?”
Mizu cast a aside glance at Sora. “Oh, I’m sorry that you’re so bored that you don’t appreciate the sea’s aesthetic.”
Sora growled. How dare Mizu backtalk HER? Mizu was way younger than she was! She pulled her fist back, and attempted to strike the younger girl, with the blue hair, but was stopped suddenly by Mami. Mami tutted, waving her forefinger back and forth in the air.
“Please don’t be like that, Sora.”
“Yeah? She talked back to me!” Sora replied, indignant. “When you’re younger than me, you have NO RIGHT to talk to me like that! I’m older than you!”
“Does age really matter?” Mami asked, wisely. “You’re both friends, are you not? Even if Mizu is younger, would you disagree that you’re glad to have someone like Mizu in your life?”
“I... er...” Sora stammered. Mami’s words made sense. She didn’t want to admit to Mami that she was right, what if she got a “I’m-better-than-you” look on her face?
“Well...?” Mami tilted her head to the side.
“Y-You’re right,” Sora muttered, puffing up her cheeks and looking away.
