I fell off yet again. Been weeks... months really. But I haven't given up. I want to do more. I want to be here, I want to be a better artist. One year ago I quit my teaching job to become an artist. It's been hard getting rid of bad habits picked up during that time and there is so much more to go. I'm excited to be back. I may fall off but I will come back stronger than ever!

Nothing has to be the way you think it does. Nothing has to be like anything at all. If nothing goes your way thats ok. You can make mistakes. You can take your time. You can start your day whenever and however you like. You can go about your journey however feels right. There is no right or wrong way. There is no, you HAVE to do this thing to do the other thing. You are not those other people and they are not you. Take your time. Take it slow. Experiment, pay attention. Don't rush greatness. Nothing has to be perfect. It's ok to make mistakes. It's ok for others to see you make mistakes. It makes you human and can remind others in your position that they are human too, and that not everyone knows what they are doing. Take comfort in that fact. You're doing great. You're where you need to be at this point in time. The past doesn't exist and the future hasn't been written. All that exists is this moment and what you do with that and the next.

Does anybody ever draw their inner demons? I decided to give the bastard a form. Feels cathartic and I think it's easier to destroy him when I can picture what he looks like. I don't know his name yet but I'll keep meditating on it.

Using Line of Action to practice drawing people because drawing people is the absolute worst for me. My gremlin brain HATED this, but I did it anyway!
I went with a class mode length of 30min, which included ten 30sec gestures, five 60sec gestures, tao 5min gestures, and one 10min gesture.
It's ugly, it's shitty, I hate it and want to burn it, but it's progress.

Came to the library to draw but I've been sitting in the car for 30min scrolling through Tumblr.

"Why should we all use our creative power . . . ? Because there is nothing that makes people so generous, joyful, lovely, bold and compassionate, so indifferent to fighting and the accumulation of objects and money"
