* late birthday thoughts & pics * Personally to me, there're two incredibly powerful days in a year. In every 6 months. January 1st, and July 1st. Common New Year & Personal New Year :) The DAYS to get inspired, dare to dream. The DAYS to set fresh goals, plans to a good start. The DAYS to look back at what happened, evaluate them fairly. The DAYS to really go deep inside, question myself to see if I'm in alignment with values making me happy, serving my higher self. The DAYS to re-acknowledge inner-happiness, feel the gratitude inside for everything happened. Last but not least, the DAYS to start off something good, that could possibly contribute to me and others around. Thus, there we go, another great year came to an end. The most successful (!) YEAR ever in my entire life. For many reasons. Every time my birth date gets closer at the door, what I really prefer is to do something near dear to my soul, that will possibly make me happier and serve my life principles. The one in the picture is what we a group of friends were up to lately, that we had an eco-friendly pre birthday celebration outing. All about seasoned, organic, healthy food selection, with what we tried to have less impact on the environment. What we often get faced in society is to see prisoners being looked down, constantly judged by others stressing a crime they have committed to, after they being released, which eventually leads to having post-prison depression, anxiety and issues such as difficult adaptation back into society. Overall it all causes other parts of life both personally, academically and career-wise, like not to be able to get hired. We should be there to support, give hands as long as he/she accepts what is being done as a fact, feels sorry and wants to make a change. Still remember the day when Mr. & Mrs. Peary approached the Front Desk to check-in. It was a colleague of mine and me welcoming them. A few days later, upon engineering request, I had to go up to her room and check personally to make sure everything was done properly. We had a really good talk and back then I realized the person I was speaking with has got a kind heart. Such a beautiful human being inside and out with a good sense of humour. Today, she's having her birthday. Wish you to never lose the authenticity, optimism and kindness towards people and the world. Hope, you're having a good time back home, in UK. You're missed a lot. Having a four of sleep. Feeling half awake and half sleepy. Leave is over, back to work. Still in a vacation mood and don't wanna break it. AND all of a sudden, lovely guest approaches and I am asked: - Hey Arshad! How was your German trip ? - How did you know that I was in Germany ? - I know everything. :-) That's specially sent for you by my parents from Scotland. They are so thankful to you for everything and they miss you!" These words, attitude and a nice gesture was enough for me to set my day to a good start. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Cowie!
