I really like the scheme behind the aroallo and alloace flags, replacing the black and grey stripes that are in both the aro and ace flags with yellow, the opposite of the asexual purple, and red, the opposite of the aromantic green.

Do you ever think about how you see the aroallo flag more often than the alloace flag which is likely because you can just say you're asexual and people probably won't assume you're aromantic as well whereas if you say you're aromantic they'll automatically assume you're asexual, so it makes sense that aromantic allosexuals would be more likely to use the flag specifically for them rather than the one for all aromantics because with the specific flag it'll be more obvious that they're not aroace?

I think hot is something that depends on the person and people have different preferences. What is considered the Hot body type isn't that consistent and it largely depends on culture and time period but when it comes to individuals it truly just depends on personal preference. It also has to do with other things besides body type like fashion sense and gender presentation. But from what I have observed, the hottest thing is charisma. Someone who looks objectively ugly can still pull like a magnet if they're funny, genuine and interesting as a person
I’m honestly not sure what hot is, like I know what I think is aesthetically attractive, and I can recognise conventionally attractive people but what is hot? Like what classes as hot? Muscles? Makeup? Is there like a list?

Imagine finding out that musicals are 100% realistic, people do in fact start singing and dancing out of nowhere every single day and you just happen to be one of the few people who are never in that situation
A lot of the time when I see people talk about aromanticism they bring up the way a lot of us tend to think that romance is just exaggerated in fiction and are surprised that people feel that way in real life and not just in the movies and that's honestly kind of funny, imagine just going about your life and one day finding out that most people's high school years were actually like disney channel and you're the exception

The past few days I have figured out that I don't really wanna put any label on my identity other than aromantic and asexual. For me it only goes as far as the feelings and lack thereof and everything else is just me being a person. Labels are meant to be tools to help us understand ourselves but for me the more specific the label is the less it works

[Image description: the sad guy and happy guy on a bus meme. The sad guy has the straight flag by him and the happy guy has the aromantic flag by him. Both have the text "no one will ever date me" by them and the text has an exclamation point after it for the happy aromantic guy. End image description.]

Tbh the fact that I don't feel romantic attraction kinda makes it so that I don't feel any difference when it comes to love. All love feels the same, what differs is the intensity and closeness

I LOVE BEING AROMANTIC

every single ya fantasy/dystopia book i could find in middle school featuring a cool concept that i wanted to read about only for it to be overshadowed by the generic ass love story turned me aroace
I'm not familiar with the genre but wasn't this the phenomenon where the hunger games got super popular and suddenly every other book was a YA dystopian romance? For the record I have not read the hunger games but didn't it get completely watered down to "girl has to choose between two boys oooh" even though it actually had a very clear and solid political message? I heard about that happening. Romance is marketable so ig the copycats all went in that direction

i saw this tiktok the other day, it was about a guy saying that for moths/long periods of time he didnt get crushes/feel romantic atraction, i went to the comments and wrote one of my own ("me my entire life (im aromantic)" or something like that) and in the comments i see tons of people (like more than 150 comments about it with even more likes each) that were commenting things like "me my entire life" or "me always", an im like "maybe you are all aro spec and dont know it yet" but i didnt answer any of these comments with that, it didn't feel like my place to say it? now i kinda regret maybe out there is an aro who hasnt accept themselves or doesnt know the word to describe themselves and that there is a whole community that feels like they feel but i didnt want to assume so i didnt say anything
To be honest I remember one of my online friends telling me "hey i feel like you might be aromantic" when I was ranting about my confusing feelings about romance and at the time I sorta brushed it off cause I was still in that stage where I was ignoring all the very obvious signs, I feel like it's better to let people come to that conclusion at their own time and figure it out themselves. And hey, these people will probably find these terms eventually since they're more readily available than ever, a lot of them might have already found it but haven't put the pieces together yet

Well sort of. You see, there really isn't a strict definition for what a queerplatonic relationship is, generally it is described as a committed non-romantic partnership but everything else is defined by the people involved. A lot of people tend to say "that's the same as having a best friend" to invalidate anyone who might seek this type of connection but the thing is, it's not really meant to be something other than friendship in terms of what feelings you have for that person. I compared it to marriage because if you think about it, the relationship itself doesn't change depending on whether you're dating or married even if the structure of the relationship might be different
"isn't a queerplatonic partner just a best friend" please tell me the difference between a girlfriend and a wife aside from the paperwork
