Here’s to many many years of silliness and antics 💚

Story time—

Once upon a time when I really started cranking out fanart for cr, I noticed when I was fortunate enough to land on the art reel, there were a handful of names I could always expect to see right before mine.

One of them was @purblecaleb. The old art reel was a convenient way to find other folks, see cool stuff, new inspirations to follow, etc. We started talking on occasion, mostly friendly comments on each other’s work. We were mutual fans of the other’s style.

The pandemic came, and right as lockdown began in March 2020, Caleb put a shoutout for anyone who wanted to play a one shot. I was hesitant—recently furloughed and queasy I couldn’t hardly think about playing d&d on camera or voice with this new acquaintance…but I said yes anyway. It ended up being my favorite one shot I’ve ever had, and I made several friends from it.

Fast forward one year, March 12, 2021. We started planning a visit, now that we were closer friends. In May he flew up, and we had what’s still the best five days of my life running around and adventuring in the mountains where I lived. Two months later I visited down his way, and at this point we were solidly committed. Mounting health issues and a senior year of college kept us visiting only sporadically, but we were still determined to stay with one another.

Fast forward one year, March 2022, my goober moves in. I needed help at this point with medical issues, and he really saved my butt keeping me motivated and going. Not perfectly, but life rarely is. I go through major surgery in August, with a major recovery ahead of me. In October on one of my first longer outings post-surgery, he proposes.

Fast forward one year, April 12, 2023. We get married 😌

For trans day of visibility, I decided to spruce up and share a magical item I use in my campaign!

Binder of Holding

Wondrous Item, rare

Crafted from fine silken textiles and enchanted to take on a color or pattern pleasing to the wearer, this base layer covers the upper torso like an undershirt, and houses an extradimensional space across the chest. Rather than hiding the form with an illusion, it magically contains any protruding flesh or material up to two cubic feet or up to 50 pounds in its pocket dimension, giving the wearer a flat-chested appearance.

Additionally, you can store or retrieve items in the binder. Retrieving an item from the binder requires an action. Creatures can’t breathe inside the extradimensional space. Placing a binder of holding inside an extradimensional space created by a bag of holding or similar item instantly destroys both items with a fabric-ripping explosion. Any creature within 5 feet of the items must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 force damage.
