ENERGY ASSIMILATION  •  the ability to transmute and create all forms of matter into energy, as well as converge different forms of energy into one. this energy can be stored by being absorbed into the self or inanimate objects, or it can be channeled to use generatively.

ENERGY INFUSION  •  the ability to infuse accumulated energy into the self or inanimate objects. domi is able to absorb and store the energy that she has transmuted within herself. she can also transfer the energy into inanimate objects to turn them into an energy storage or generator.

ENERGY PROJECTION  •  the ability to channel accumulated energy within herself outwards. domi can project a limited amount of energy towards a specific target, or dispel all of the stored energy over a distance.

LIMITATIONS

the most damning limitation is that all energy that domi assimilates becomes nuclear, and she cannot generate any other energy type. this has proven extremely detrimental to her health, as domi has a slightly higher resistance but is not immune to the byproducts of the energy that is assimilated into her. given that the energy is only assimilated into nuclear energy, radiation sickness is a very big and real risk.

energy assimilation is also not voluntary; this is an entirely passive ability that is constantly cycling through domi. on top of not being immune to the byproducts of energy, domi's energy assimilation also doesn't account for her own holding capacity, which is based on her physical condition. in other words, she could exceed capacity and blow up.

all energy that domi uses in her applications are what she has assimilated into herself; she cannot make use of energy that doesn't originate from her. her energy assimilation slows down during uses of her applications, as her body is less capable of multitasking between generating and channeling energy. ( a limitation on paper, but a good thing in actuality, as there's no way for her to stop generating the energy that is detrimental to herself. )

much like her own constitution, energy infusion doesn't make something more durable, so it cannot account for existing physical properties. she can only transfer as much energy as the storage would otherwise be capable of holding. domi is also unable to apply energy infusion to living beings other than herself at present.

her energy dispersion is not well controlled in terms of output or target. this is very much a volatile ability that she has little control or experience using.

GAME.    token tag.

SETTING.    a large, abandoned shipping dock filled with numerous shipping containers laid out like a maze. some shipping containers are locked. others are open. all containers are empty.

RULES.    all players begin in the centre. each house consists of one runner and one seeker chosen at the pair’s discretion. the runner will hold a token belonging to another house. the seeker’s responsibility is to catch the runner holding their house’s token. if the seeker catches the correct runner, the runner will be eliminated. if the seeker catches the incorrect runner, the seeker will be eliminated. all players will remain in the game until the game ends, unless eliminated. the game automatically ends when both seeker and runner from one house are eliminated. alternatively, if three seekers have caught the correct runner, then the remaining seeker will be eliminated. an announcement will be made for players that have been eliminated. additionally, communication devices will be provided for runners and seekers of the same team.

MECHANICS

welcome to the first round of the winter rally! the gamemakers have announced DECEPTION as an advantageous skill for the upcoming game. in combination with the word prompt, teams may use the yin and yang classification of members as a hint for the types of powers that may excel in round one.

LUNAR EMBODIMENT  •  haerin embodies the very essence of the moon; it's a part of her and she is a part of it. this sort of symbiosis allows her to manipulate and harness various powers associated with it. their relationship is such that she even emits a gentle glow during the night or whenever the moon is visible.

LUNAR LEVITATION  •  haerin can levitate and fly due to her unique gravitational field which is influenced by her connection to the moon. this ability allows for swift and agile movement both on the ground and in their air. note, the feat actually lies in staying grounded as she has a perpetual air to her step.

LUNAR ENERGY MANIPULATION  •  depending on what phase it is currently in, haerin can borrow or return energy to the moon. in this way she can manipulate lunar energy and use it to her advantage; she can channel it to create intense bursts of moonlight which can blind her opponents temporarily. it can also be used defensively, in which haerin forms a protective barrier using condensed moonlight that appears as dense as metal.

LUNAR EMPOWERMENT •  during a full moon, haerin gains strength from the moon, enhancing her physical condition. she becomes stronger, faster and more durable. she's also able to draw upon the moon's sustenance to heal herself if injured.

LIMITATIONS

haerin's powers are closely tied to the phases of the moon. during a new moon, her abilities are at their weakest and any prolonged use of her powers during this time can lead to physical and mental fatigue. during eclipses her power is essentially nullified and she is at her weakest.

the luminescence she emits can unintentionally reveal her presence, making her ability very obvious. unless she's on nullivi, which she never is outside of class, stealth is her weak point in the darker hours.

levitation is more challenging during the new moon phase, making her movement heavier and less agile. she is only able to levitate a few inches off the ground around this phase. that being said, she is only able to take proper flight during a full moon phase.

haerin can either use her lunar energy manipulation either offensively or defensively at a time, but not concurrently. furthermore, the intensity and duration of these abilities depend heavily on the moon's phase, for example, during a full moon they are at their strongest and most viable but during a new moon they are rather weak.

haerin's lunar empowerment is only effective during the period of a full moon which spans three days typically. during other phases of the moon such as a new moon, she has to sacrifice her own energy to restore the moon's strength which makes her weaker.

SHAPESHIFTING  •  Euijin has the ability to alter his appearance or form. He is able to change his shape, size, color, density, texture, cellular composition. Through learning about other beings, he is able to mimic their appearance and composition.

BIOMORPHING •  The ability to take the appearance of other (living) beings. POST-MORTEM SHAPESHIFTING  •  The ability to shift into any (formerly living) being they've killed. FEAR/DESIRE MORPHING  •  The ability to take form of others' fear or desire.

LIMITATIONS

While shifting, Euijin is vulnerable to taking damage. If he is in excessive pain, becomes unconscious or were to die, then he may be involuntarily forced back to his original form.

Staying in a single form may have negative effects on Euijin. He may suffer from energy loss, change of behavior and may even malfunction.

Euijin may need awareness of any and all living forms' limitations and weaknesses; for all living things must abide by the laws of the shape they inhabit.

While Euijin is able to post-mortem shift, he must do so through touch. With this he will automatically absorb their memories, positive and negative taking a piece of their soul in the learning process to morph into them. The weight of the many negative memories and the murder he's committed may lead to him stray away from this ability.

Euijin is only able to take form of someone's active fear and/or desire if he's learned about it. Meaning he must discover this through someone telling him or finding out another way. This being said, if the person conquers their fear while Euijin is shifted then he will be forced back to his original form.

INSECT SWARMING  •  to possess the ability to disperse her body into a swarm of insects—particularly the beetle species, mylabris pustulata, a blister beetle typically found in regions of asia—and subsequently return back to her original form. the number of insects existing in her swarming form is equivalent to her body volume.

HIVE MIND  •  the swarm of beetles that she disperses into are not individual entities, but rather, share the same mind. each beetle can still work autonomously according to her command, but lack individuality and will work and exist solely to achieve her goal.

FLIGHT  •  the mylabris pustulata possesses striped red and black wings and are capable of flight.

WOUND INDUCEMENT  •  the mylabris pustulata produces a toxin known as cantharidin, a potent blistering agent that can cause irritation, redness, and blistering when coming in contact with skin. cantharidin can be poisonous when consumed in large amounts.

LIMITATIONS

she is only able to disperse into a swarm of specifically mylabris pustulata, a type of blister beetle. she cannot disperse into insects of any other genus or species.

her ability to disperse into a swarm of beetles is governed by her emotions. specifically, shiah can only disperse into a swarm of beetles when she feels extreme emotions or adrenaline, and likewise, cannot return to her human form until she mellows down. she cannot disperse into a swarm of beetles or return to her original form by will. as such, shiah will only remain in her swarming form for as long as she feels extreme emotions, which can be anywhere from a couple of minutes to 1-2 hours before she calms down.

shiah is sensitive to extreme cold and heat and can succumb to illness, such as colds, frostbite, heat exhaustion and heat strokes much easier than the everyday human when in her human form. furthermore, she is especially vulnerable to extreme temperatures in her swarming form. exposure to extreme cold when in her swarming form can incapacitate the swarm. exposure to extreme heat and fire in her swarming form can kill the swarm.

she cannot recuperate the loss of beetle life or insect mass while in her swarming form. shiah will need to return to her human form in order to regenerate her insect mass back to 100%.

loss of substantial insect mass can be dangerous, or even fatal. as a defense mechanism, loss of 20% of insect mass will automatically revert shiah back to her human form. additionally, she will suffer intense fatigue, a high fever, and amnesia, and will need a few days to recover. loss of 40% of insect mass is fatal.

she is only able to access her applications of hive mind, flight, and wound inducement when in swarming form. in her original form, shiah is no different from an everyday human.

only beetles that are generated from her own body are subject to her hive mind. she cannot recruit other insects or mylabris pustulata in the wild into her swarm.

when in her swarming form, shiah is unable to have complex thoughts. rather, she will act solely on her primal drive and emotions, unable to consider consequences of her actions.

her beetles will gradually lose focus and vitality the further they stray away from the swarm. beetles that stray more than 10 metres away from the eye of the swarm will immediately die.

blister beetles only produce cantharidin when required. production of cantharidin requires energy. furthermore when produced, cantharidin coats the beetles’ bodies and requires skin contact in order to induce its blistering effects. typically, only one beetle is required to produce a blister on the skin. as cantharidin requires skin contact, consumption of cantharidin can only happen if the beetles are swallowed. it is possible for cantharidin to induce major damage to internal organs when consumed in large doses. however, this large dose would also mean the consumption and death of a substantial amount of shiah’s insect mass, which would be fatal for her.
