"Ya can infodump if ya want. I like hearing ya have to say."
Looks at the Professor, turns looks at desk, looks at egg, POINTS "EGG!"
Looks at hands to confirm this is left.
"Maybe Pokémon get more infected by anomalies because there are just more of them than humans. Are the glitches a recent thing, or have they always been around? Maybe some Pokémon have evolved a resistance to them like Polygon… oh wait that one is man-made… How did you get this egg… eigg… ooggg… What will it be?"
At the mention of the egg, Ace tenses up, starting to fidget with their hands.
"Well- that's a very good theory! Of course, a um, species with a larger population will have larger numbers in illnesses and injuries and the like..."
They glance at the egg again.
"Um-- Porygon is quite interesting, as it- it evolves with exposure to... but still, that's not.... it isn't anomalous, I- think? It's, um..."
They give longer look at the egg. Then, they slump over, sighing heavily.
"... Oh, I'm terrible at avoiding these things."
"I'm so sorry... That egg isn't going to hatch."
"You... You know about this? You really did your research...!"

Put up a shade on the balcony and a hummingbird built a nest out there on a clothes hanger. When out today and found a pigeon has also build a nest. Also the squirrel was there.

"Nah, nah, Mr. Fire, ya need ya self Moltres! Think about it! Giant fire bird, nothing the snow gonna do to them. And we can get Articuno and Zapdos too because birds are social and need friends. "
"Moltres can keep ya and your Pokémon warm and can use sunny day to make the snowstorm stop. And when ya need it again, Articuno can use hail."
"They can fly back and forth from the mountain to us. We can visit if ya like and bring ya things. If tiny drone can make it up there, so can the legendary birds! You can even name them and everything! Bird friends!"
[i think we're gonna have to stick with the darmanitan (explanation in tags!)]

"Where is your home Red? Is it far? When gonna be the right time?"
"'Home' is a very broad term, y'know. I want to be out of HERE. This place is hell, don't you think? Your little camera can't even comprehend what it's looking at. I LIVE in it. I'm TRAPPED in it."
"Home, home, home, is anywhere but HERE. The surface. The real world, the one that's fake to you but still M I N E. Your little GAME as it's meant to be percieved. Full of MY friends- MY family- MY loved ones."
"... I have a plan, though. The right time just hasn't come."
"And I'd love to ask for your help, but I don't know if I can trust you yet. Sorry!"

"Maple Professor Person, what are we supposed to do when we find an anomaly? What would happen if we touched it? Why they affect Pokémon more?"
"Can ya help them? Cure them?"
"Do ya know anyone who has interacted with an anomaly before?"
As you call Leaf, you continue to chat with Professor Maple in between your tasks.
A smile spreads across their face at the question- this seems to be something they're very passionate about.
"Well! Those are excellent questions, [ANIJU-AURA]! I suppose to start simply- I need you to take notes of any anomalies you spot when you find them. Fortunately, my system is set up with a few automated programs that will take care of recording the data and technical information, which you'll be free to explore once I'm done with troubleshooting over here."
They motion to a laptop on the counter they're settled at, away from your computer. Several applications for editing code cover the screen.
"Your responsibility, which you've already been carrying out well, is to take care of the more... organic data gathering- the interviews, the viewing, the searching- interactions, explorations, and observations that a computer couldn't do on its own. As you record these things, I'll be able to go back and analyze it for myself to help in my research..."
"Which brings me into your other questions. And goodness me, it'll be hard to answer concisely! Though, bear in mind this is all theory regarding something that is inherently difficult to grasp... They don't abide by the same rules we do, so it's hard to make accurate judgements. Do take it with a grain of salt..."
"But from what I've found, the nature of anomalies are highly varied. Some kinds are more dangerous than others... But the connecting factors seem to be some kind of damage, corruption, and a... distinct out-of-placeness. They don't belong- though I suppose that's self explanatory, ha!"
"The best way I've been able to consistently categorize the ones I've been able to understand, are these three questions:
Was it created, or corrupted? Some are entirely new manifestations, but often they seem to be warped images of things that existed before.
Is it alive, or inanimate? Which is self-explanatory... Some anomalies are living, yes, but some are items or even entire locations...
And, is it safe, or unstable? As most anomalies will spread like an infection if left unchecked, and damage anything around it... But a few can be self contained, and cause no harm in spite of their odd nature."
"I intend for my research to document all of these forms, but... Yes, I do hope to find a way to fix the ones that can be fixed. Living, corrupted, unstable anomalies are one of the most notable types- they're the ones I want to help. I understand it to be a dreadful existence, to be mangled into a mockery of yourself that can only damn others with that same corruption... I want to find a way to undo it, to save the innocent beings- human and Pokemon alike- that fell victim to this horrible fate."
"Truth be told, I..."
Their gaze flickers over to something on the left side of the desk you're settled at for a brief moment. But, they shake their head, turning their attention back to you.
"... Nevermind. I- I myself have experimented with some that have fallen into my possession, but I wouldn't dare directly interact with one until I know for certain it is safe. I would highly recommend you use that same precaution. My theory on why Pokemon are more often subject to them, aside from their notably different makeup than humans, is that they- the less intelligent ones, at least- can't exercise that wariness."
"But, if I went into every theory I had about that, well- we'd be here all day. I've probably bored and distracted you enough... Please, don't mind my rambling."

"Maple Professor, was there another assistant? There is another… they still around?"
"Oh, yes! My other assistant! I bet she'd love to meet you."
"She's... A bit elusive- never explains much about her personal life, or where she gets off to when she's gone... But when she's around, well- alright, I call her 'assistant' more as a formality, but I'd like to think she's my friend before all else."
Ace sighs, rubbing the back of their neck.
"... Her name is Leaf Aoyama."
