She is the glue of the show. The comedy works so well because it directly plays off her being the straight man and it’s a role she plays INCREDIBLY well. The guests get a lot of praise for their improv (as they ABSOLUTELY should) but the way Vic picks up on what they’re giving and plays into it perfectly to give them more avenues to explore, while remaining the straight man is SO funny
